Chapter 115

Tennessee stops and turns around so quickly that he tugs Nix and spins her as well.
“What do you mean Nix can go back? Go back how? Because from what I know that the only way for Phoenix to give a life is to give a feather. Nix did this for London, and it cost her a feather. Are you asking Nix and Hennessy to give all of her feathers to everyone else so that you can fix your fucking mistakes” Tennessee shouts out.

“If we don’t do this Tennessee then everyone will die. Nix is powerful she is a princess of a sun god as well as of the goddess of war and strategy her grandmother was a Phoenix, Helios had the abilities of the Phoenix. Nix is the only one that can do this. She needs to do this, we want to beg, we want to demand but we will stick by our rules and not interfere with what is happening. But we agreed that once we give all the information and what she had to sacrifice that the decision is all hers.” The old woman says as she looks at each of them.
“So, now that you told all the information that was needed, and you gave the good back story that you are going to ask her to make a choice. A choice that is no fucking choice, and you. Shakti you selfish bitch.” Tennessee growls as he takes a threatening step towards her.
“Shakti will not leave here. You are going back now; we will come back for your decision in two sleep cycles, and we will go from there.” The old woman says with a raise of her hand.

Tennessee opens his mouth to say something else but before he can utter a word the world pops and they are standing back in the cave with everyone else.

“What the hell do you mean that Nix has gone into her mind. That is stupid” Tito shouts
“Where is she? Where is Tennessee?” London mutters as she continues to try to use her spells to locate them.
“Where is my mate?” Caleb yells as he storms into the cave that housed Shakti and the Black Witch
“Um, do you want to explain? Cause I don’t want to” Dom mutters to Jameson as he looks at a pissed off prince and shadow super.
“Well, they are here” Athan says with a resigned sigh.
“Really! Really, they aren’t here. Well, I never would have thought of that since they aren’t in the fucking cave and I can’t feel Hennessy anywhere near here” Caleb growls as he advances towards Athan.
“You might want to educate Caleb before I do” Athan says to Erebus.
“Nope, survival of the fittest” Erebus mutters as he shakes his head at Caleb as he advances towards Athan.
“Well the fittest won’t survive much longer” Athan growls as he faces off against Caleb.

A loud pop sounds in the room as Caleb takes a swing at Athan. London squeaks and Tito growls
“About time”
“Ooh fight” Tennessee says excitedly
“You are like a Labrador; you have no ability to stay on track” Nix mutters as she walks away from him.
“You are not leaving, and we are discussing this you are not making a decision regarding this matter on your own. This is a family discussion Nix and Hennessy” Tennessee yells as Nix walks out the room.
“Ooh, fight, fight” Tennessee chants

“Where have you been?” London asks as she sidles up beside Hennessy.
“I wanted more information, I have that” Nix replies as she continues to walk through the tunnels.
“Where are we going?” London asks as she
“Parents” Nix mutters as she continues to walk through the tunnels as they get closer to the door Nix takes a deep breath and reaches out her hand and opens the door. As they both walk through the door Nix stops and looks at the home where she was born.
“Is this Athena and Helios’s house?” London asks as she walks through and looks at the photos and memory cards throughout the home.
“Yes” Nix mutters as she turns down the right hallway and walks towards Helios’s office.
Nix walks through the house where she was born and where she was happy before Phoebe her aunt killed everyone that she loves and who were meant to protect her. As Nix walks into her fathers office, she closes the door and takes a seat at the desk.
“What do you think?” Nix asks Hennessy
“That is a lot. But for a chance to go back and grow up with your parents that is something that would be hard to give up. Would you be happy to go through with all of that to have them back? I mean at the end of the day do you feel like this is something that will make the world better?” I asked Nix.
“That is a big decision, I don’t like what this world is. I don’t like that you had a shitty childhood, I don’t like that I didn’t grow up with my parents and have a life that I was meant to. But to do this that means that you die, and you may never be born. Who am I to make this decision on my own” Nix says sadly.
“Each life is what we make it. If this is what you want, then by all means this is what we should do. I have only had you for such a short time, you have been living in hell for many years and I think that this is a small sacrifice” I say.

Nix looks around Helios’s office and smiles sadly as she see a memory card of Helios and her when she is a baby. Getting up and walking over the memory card Nix picks it up and cutting her finger in the process. As Nix hisses and quickly sticks her finger in her mouth to stop the blood. A drop falls onto the memory card.

“Hey, baby girl.” Helios voice calls as Nix spins quickly
“Wh..what…” Nix stutters as she turns to look at her father standing in the room.

“This is a holographic recording that was taken when you were no more than three hours old. There were rumours throughout the heavenly realm that Phoebe was planning something. Since Archon found out what she was doing we made a strong effort to make sure that she didn’t continue her deception. But like all things in life nothing is one hundred percent foolproof. Athena your mother was worried that her sister was going to hurt you, so we gave you a protector which was Athan. He loved you the moment that he heard of your existence, and he stuck with us through everything. So, if you are ever in trouble then please go to Athan he will help you.
I bet you are a beautiful girl just like your mother. I bet that you also are angry that we aren’t there for you. I know that if I am not here then that means that I have given my all to keep you safe and that means that my life was the price. I hope that your mother is still around, but I can’t guarantee that she was a fierce fighter, and she loved hard so to keep you safe she would wage war to protect you in my absence.
Please don’t be angry Nixon you were a gift, one that we were so happy to have. All of us tried hard to make life better before and during your arrival but sometimes evil has no answer, no rhyme or reason just hate and a unbalanced sense of right and wrong.

Please remember life is not always bad and it isn’t always good. You can’t have one without the other and at the end of the day its what you do that makes life easy or hard. So be honest and live your best life.

Life well sweet girl and I hope that we can meet again” Helios says as his hologram flickers and disappears. Nix looks at the card and then drops another drop of blood on the card to listen to Helios’s voice again and again.
“Its ok Nix. I agree” I say as Nix plays the card again.
