Chapter 78

Dom and Athan continued..
“Hunny, have you seen Dom?” Dom’s mother asks as she walks through the front door of the house.
“No, the last I saw he was playing with Landon and Tito out on the field” Dom’s dad replies as he walks towards his wife.
“I swear that kid is nothing but a pain in the ass. He is never where he is supposed to be, and he is always doing something that he shouldn’t be” His wife moans as she gives her husband a hug.
“He is just a kid Patty” Her husband replies.
“I don’t care Rich; we never should have had kids. I told you that this wasn’t something that I am going to be able to handle but you wouldn’t listen. You said that having a kid would make our lives richer with more love. But all it has given us is stress and worry” Patty gripes slamming her bag down on the table.
“Patty, that isn’t true nor is it nice to say. What happens if Dom was to hear that. He would think that he wasn’t wanted and that isn’t true. I told you that we would have a good life, and we have. Dom is going to be Beta. I will retire in a few more years and you can live the life of lunches with the women and shop until you drop. Why do you say those things?” Rich asks as he frowns at his wife.
“Its true Rich, I didn’t want children I only had one for a reason and I could have definitely not had him at all. I don’t understand why you thought this was going to be a good thing. You have to admit that all this running around and trouble with Dom is annoying and it interrupts the life that we could be living.” Patty says with a shrug of her shoulders.
Dom, Landon and Tito continue to hide in the basement as they all listen to Dom’s mother talk badly about Dom. Everyone knew that Patty was a hard woman and that she didn’t particularly like children, but I guess they never really knew how much she hated Dom.
“I’m sorry man” Landon whispers to Dom.
“It’s nothing that I didn’t already know. Patty has never wanted me and that was never going to change” Dom responds.
“I will banish her from the pack when I am alpha” Tito says while resting a hand on Dom’s shoulder.
“Why, all that is going to do is reinforce her hate towards me. I will do what I have always done. Ignore her and get on with my life” Dom says sadly.
“Patty, I mean it stop talking like this and start showing more affection towards Dom” Rich growls at his wife. Yes, Patty may be his fated mate but sometimes he feels punished with an unloving wife. She also stopped intimate relations after Dom was born. She said that it was due to her worry that Rich would get her pregnant again. But he later found out that she took preventive measures to make sure that didn’t happen again and still she wouldn’t offer him any intimacy.
The Alpha told him long ago that Patty started taking Witch Hazel when she was pregnant with Dom until the Luna stopped her as she was worried of the affects that it was going to have on Dom. Patty never spoke to the Luna again after that she often accused her of flaunting her power but really pups were a gift and were treated as such the fact that Patty openly hated being pregnant and wish harm to Dom daily it was a miracle that he was born healthy and normal.
“Whatever Rich. I am going out tonight I will be back in a few days” Patty says as she breezes past Rich to head upstairs.
“See even your mother didn’t want you, what make you think that London a high and mighty witch would want to be apart of your life?” The female voice says as Dom sits in the corner of the bright room.
“I love London, and I will show her that she is the greatest gift” Dom replies back to the females voice without hesitation.
“Why would you. London is meant for power. Do you really think that she would settle for you?” The Females voice taunts.
“Yes! London will want me and our life you can’t make me believe otherwise” Dom responds angrily.
“What happens if she doesn’t want pups with you?” The females voice continues to taunt.
“I am fine with that. Will I be sad? Yes. But I will be happy with London” Dom says again.
“Lets asks London” The Female replies.
There is a bright flash in the room and then there was his fated mate. Her hair had seen better days it looks slightly matted she had a few cuts and bruises over her face and arms but otherwise looked unharmed.
“You, ok?” Dom asks as he continues to take in every square inch of his mate that was finally standing in front of him.
“Yes, though when I get that bitch of a witch, I will make sure she dies slowly” London replies while looking around the room.
“London you have been called her to answer questions. You will answer honestly and if you lie Dom will die” The females voice responds.
“First...” The female’s voice begins but London cuts her off.
“How many questions? What happens if I answer them right? Can we both leave this place?” London fires off her own questions.
“If you answer honestly, I will give you both my word and my honour that you can leave here safely and unharmed any further.” The Female responds.
London looks around the room again before nodding her head “I accept” she says.
“I accept also” Dom responds.
“Right, first question is you happy that you have a fated mate?” The female asks London with a slight happy tinge to her voice.
“No…. I didn’t want a fated mate. But when I first found out that it was Dom, I was scared and worried about what that looked like. But for me Essy comes first” London says while looking at Dom in the eyes. London notices a slight spark of pain and anger in his eyes before he masks it and smiles at London.
“Mmm, Second question. Do you want children with your fated mate?” The female asks.
“I don’t know” London responds looking at Dom and shrugging his shoulders.
“Fail” The females voice comes through in giddy happy tone.
“What? No, you’re lying. I don’t know if I want kids. I have never known whether I have wanted kids or not. Some days I think yes and other I think no so I have not lied” London snaps back
“For your final question will you accept Dom?” The females voice practically sings through the room.
“I don’t know. I want to say that I will, or I want to say I won’t the problem is that I am not cloaked anymore which means that I have to find my feelings regarding this, and I don’t know what the answer will be. Sorry Dom but it’s true” London responds sadly.
“Its ok, I understand” Dom says sadly.
He has known since he was old enough to understand that he wasn’t wanted and for London to say that she doesn’t know if she wants me hurts but she answered honestly and that is all that I could ever ask her. London loved hard and she was super protective of those that she loved but that didn’t mean that she couldn’t be swayed, and Dom was determined to make her fall in love with him or he will die trying.
“Dying could be the operative word” The female responds within his head.
“Yes, you dying would be a make my day” Dom responds to the females voice.
“Can we go now?” London calls through the room.
“Sure you can go, and you will go unharmed the only thing you have to do is find each other in the dark” The Females voice cackles as she transports both London and Dom into a completely dark room.
“What the fuck, you crazy bitch” Dom yells.
“If you find your mate within the next hour then you can leave unharmed” the female responds.
“What happens at the end of the hour?” Dom asks.
“Athan, London and you all die” The female cackles. A bright burst of light lights up the area Dom looks around frantically trying to find London. In the distance he can see Athan. Not wasting a seconds thought Dom takes off after Athan just as Athan takes off in the opposite direction
“ATHAN!” Dom calls just as he hears Athan yell
“LONDON DON’T MOVE”
