Chapter 91
“Essy?” London calls as she moves closer to Hennessy.
Looking at Hennessy, London’s shoulders slump as Hennssey is exactly like she was moments before. Unmoving with her eyes closed.
“I thought I just heard Essy?” London looks around at everyone as they also stare down at Hennessy.
“Tennessee get back here you poor excuse for a Demon” Athan calls as he continues to chase Tennessee through the forest.
“No, I don’t wanna” Tennessee replies as he continues to zip this way and that. Laughing like a complete loon.
“Will someone get those two idiots to stop chasing each other through the forest” Tito barks as he reaches out a hand to touch Hennessy. But pulls make as not wanting to make her feel any additional pain.
Tito reaches up and wipes his slightly damp eyes while continuing to stare at what they did to his baby sister. He knew that the Queen hated all Phoenix but for her to come after one that never did anything wrong to her makes the rage bubble and boil inside of him.
Tito makes a silent vow as he continues to watch both his sisters that he will make the Queen, Witch and the goddess pay for every bit of pain and suffering that they have experience since the moment they were just a thought in history.
“We are all here baby girl” Jameson mutters as he continues to brush her hair back from her face.
“We haven’t left, we didn’t forget you” Jameson continues to mutter as he comforts a still passed out Hennessy. Why? Jameson silently wonders as he guards his siblings. Why? Why do bad people exist why are people greedy.
“What are we going to do now? It’s not like we can just up and travel to the heavenly realm. So, who is giving us a lift?” Landon mutters as he continues as he keeps guard and watching the forest as everyone continues to talk behind him.
“One of us will take you there, however we will need to do this quietly and quickly as you aren’t meant to be there and some of the gods and goddesses are firmly on Shakti’s side” Hekate replies as she too watches over the group huddled around Hennessy. Hekate felt somewhat responsible for Shakti still being evil, her spell was only meant to release the people from the dream state once they are back to their old selves, but Hekate had a feeling that what Shakti was now was always what she was and everyone was just too blind to see it.
“How many?” Tennessee calls as he continues to dodge Athan. “How many gods and goddesses are still on Shakti’s side.?”
“Come on fang boy surely you have more in the tank than just this. I am disappointed that you are so slow” Tennessee calls back with a chuckle
Athan laughs as he picks up speed trying to catch Tennessee, he had to hand it to the demon he was quick.
“Unfortunately, there are more people than we would like. But not enough that we can’t win” Hekate calls back to Tennessee
“We need to leave. NOW!” Landon calls as he moves closer to the group that are protecting Hennessy.
“Incoming” Hekate mutters as she conjures her battle armour. Most of the gods and goddesses in the forest conjure their armour ready for battle.
“On the left”
“The right as well”
“We have a sneak attack coming that isn’t so sneaky” Tennessee calls as he darts of into the distance taking out any and all guards in his way.
“I will take the hundred on this side. You take the ten on the right just in case you can’t keep up” Tennessee yells back to Athan.
“ARGH! You are so damn frustrating” Athan yells back to Tennessee as he continues to fight his way through the group of guards that were headed his way.
“More coming from the south”
“Incoming on the North side”
“Three o’clock incoming”
“Prepare for battle and make sure that you protect Hennessy and London at all costs” Archon calls as he conjures his battle armour.
“Hey Athan, do you need a hand old man?” Tennessee yells as he continues to fight.
“No, and I hope someone kills you” Athan yells back to Tennessee
Tennessee gasps and continues to punch the one guard that he had grabbed a hold of. “Did you hear what he said. I am shocked and hurt by his meanness” Tennessee says conversationally as he grabs the guard’s neck and snaps it with an audible snap.
“Tsk, tsk did you really think that you would be able to stop me?” Shakti’s voice echoes through the forest.
“I didn’t think that you would be stupid enough to turn your back on your own. But hey they say that everyone can be brought with a price” Erebus says as he looks at Shakti.
“Yes well they also say loyalty is dead” Shakti replies with a laugh.
“No, loyalty ain’t dead but you will be” Lycus yells as he races forward to engage in battle with Shakti.
Shakti and Lycus trade blow for blow, Shakti punches out with her right arm while kicking with her left leg.
“Argh, you bitch” Lycus mutters as Shakti lands her kick into Lycus’s knee making him drop down. As Shakti goes for the killing blow. Lycus shifts into his wolf form and jumps at her at the same time. Grabbing her by the shoulder with his strong jam Lycus clamps down as Shakti’s scream echoes through the forest.
Lycus adds more pressure, just when he was sure that he was going to bite right through the shoulder Shakti users her magic and kicks out with her legs dislodging Lycus along with a chunk of her skin.
“That hurt Lycus” Shakti growls as she climbs to her feet just as Lycus orients himself and takes an aggressive stance towards Shakti.
“You will pay for that” Shakti yells.
The sound of flesh on flesh is so loud that the entire forest goes dead quiet. Each person turns and watches as Shakti flies through the air hitting trees and uprooting them as she makes contact with each and every tree that she comes into contact with.
