Book 2 - New Blood - Chapter 1

“Subject seven is responding well to the Lycan DNA, she should stabilize soon and then she can be transported back to her cell” The man in the white lab coat says.
“Great, if her DNA bonds with the Lycan that is also the Fae and the Vampire DNA as well. What do we have next for her?” A tech asks as they continue to monitor the small girl laying on the lab table.
“Depending on how she is we have Phoenix and witch tomorrow and then we have a couple others like demon and shadows before we start testing out what she is capable of” The man in the white lab coat says excitedly.
“This is amazing, we have never had a human take on so many different DNA supers before. I wonder what will be dominate” One of the nurses in the room replies with excitement.
“Yes, subject one and two died not even having the ability to bond with the DNA before they died. Utterly useless. Three and four didn’t last more than twenty-four hours after bonding which was also a disappointment. Number five is currently being tested but she only has two different super DNA’s then there is six, she will be deployed soon to see how she goes in the field. While number seven here is the youngest at only four she is handling all the test very well” the man in the white coat explains to the room.

They are always careful not to keep the same people like the nurses around when the tests being solely being that the nurses get their stupid motherly instincts and then they start asking for things for the children. Oh, this child needs this, today it is number blah blah’s birthday can we organise a cake. Needless to say, we learnt long ago not to keep anyone around for too long.
“Right, I say she is safe to move, watch her closely for the next twenty-four hours and make sure the bonding sticks and remember to call me and let me know whether there are any problems and if so, get her back here as soon as possible” The man in the white coat yells.
“Yes sir” The nurse responds as she starts getting number seven ready for transport.
As the nurse wheels number seven out of the room, a guard races up and pushes her out of the way and takes over wheeling the girl to her cell.
As the nurse gets her settle and takes her vitals again before leaving the room.
“Twenty-four-hour watch” The nurse responds to the guards.
“Roger” the guard responds.
“What the hell are we going to do. They are deploying six today she is highly unstable and she can’t be around anyone else simply because she is more beast than human. Doctor Sin says that this is his plan the head honcho wants to keep her but we all know that she isn’t safe so Doctor Sin says to deploy her and they will kill her off saving us from having to do it. What about number seven she now has three different super DNA and they are adding more tomorrow she is going to be stronger than any one ever knows.” One of the guard’s whispers to the guard standing outside seven’s cell.
“We watch and wait, the money here is good. If we have to deal with a few feral children then that is what we do” The guard on duty in front of seven’s cell responds.
“Doesn’t this bother you” The first guard asks
“No, it is what it is. Money is money, I don’t care about what happens to these kids” The guard, guarding Seven replies.

“Well, I have to go get number six ready for deployment, I would be careful with that one” The guard points toward Seven thrashing around.
“Mm” The guard responds as he watches the other guard walk away.
The banging and groaning coming from the cell behind him makes take a slight step back and start tapping on the bars one two, rest, one two, rest, one two rest.
The banging and groaning stop as the sounds of her breathing settle.
“Roger, number six is sedated and being transported to loading bay nine, please be aware and keep your distance at all time” A guard calls over the radio.
“Roger that keep hallways clear” is barked over the radio.
“Yes sir”
“Roger that”
“Copy”
“Everyone clear, proceed to move”
“Moving”
“East corridor entering in, five, four, three, two, one. East corridor entered”
“Six is twitching we need another shot of knock out juice doc” A guard calls over the radio.
“Coming” the doctor responds breathing hard.
“HOLD HER!”
“GRAB HER FUCKING LEGS!”
“WATCH IT!”
“GET HER UNDER DOC”
The various calls echo through out the radio. The guard, standing to attention ready for what may happen loads his weapon and takes a deep breath.
“HURRY UP”
“Giving her another shot” The doctors voice calls over the radio.
“There that seems to have worked, she is still again.”
“Approaching vehicle”
“Clear to proceed”
“Number six fully contained and set up on drip to keep her under”
“explosive device implanted and activated”
“Subject six ready for transport”
A collective sigh rings out over the radio as the voices continue to let the base know that the vehicle has cleared the base and is moving to drop location.
The sound of tapping footsteps sound as they approach number seven’s cell.
“How is number seven” the doctor asks as he approaches the guard.
“Settled and no issues” The guard responds
“Great, get her ready and transport her to the lab. We are moving forward with the rest of the supers now. We aren’t waiting for tomorrow” The doctor barks as he walks away huffing and puffing.
“Yes Sir” The guard calls as he walks into number seven’s cell and lifts her onto the gurney. As the guard wheels her down the hallway back into the lab, several techs whisper and gossip as the guard wheels seven to the centre of the room.
“All of them?”
“Yes”
“That will kill her”
“I don’t think the doctor cares”
“Quiet” the guard barks as he nods his head towards the doctor getting scrubbed up.
“Right, have you prepared all the serums?” The doctor asks as he walks into the room.
“Yes doctor” the collective reply sounds around the room.
“Right let’s get started” The doctor mutters as he starts attaching all the leads and monitors to number seven.

Seven thrashes for a few minutes before the doctor plunges the sedative into her frail arm.
As Seven starts to settle the doctor pushes the button and watches as several needles push into the girls arms, legs and neck as he injects her with various super DNA.
The girl thrashes, whimpers and shakes violently as the DNA is entered into her blood stream.
“We are making history” The doctor mutters as the rest of the techs are hiding against the back wall not wanting to get too close.
Seven lets out an ear piercing scream and starts seizing. As the doctor calls for a crash cart they being working on the small tiny girl.
“Sir we have a heart beat”
