Her Plagues



Ava's POV

"I guess that's how it's going to be" Ava walked to the shelves to get a wine

"I'm so sorry"

"It's not the end of the world Clara besides there are other job opportunities around" Ava said, going back to sip her wine

"I really hated her but not to this extent, I walked past the company early this morning and it's still close" Clara saw despair written all over Ava's face "How is she feeling now?"

"I hope she gets better"

Ava have been with her mum ever since her mum got divorced

"You can just work for…" Clara was interrupted

"I hope you are not going to refer to my dad" Ava rolled her eyes "I would rather continue as the secretary to Helsi than work for my dad in his company"


"Why? Just do it for your mum, she is sick and you need to raise a lot of money to cover her hospital bills"


"He left me Clara" Ava screamed in tears "He left my mum, does that kind of man deserve forgiveness?"

"I'm sorry about that, but…" Clara went close to her "Just do it for some time for your mum, you don't have to forgive him"

"Have some wine" Ava raised the glass to her in tears

"Ava" Clara called sympathetically "You would be fine… she would be fine, I promise you"

"She is all I've got" Ava drank a full cup of wine in a second "the only person that never left me, I can't afford to loose her"

"Dear, come here" Clara went for a hug

"I just want her to feel better, like she was better" Ava stretched her hand to get the solvent beside the wine glass to clean her eyes

"Where is she now?" Clara asked

"She's at the clinic right now but I'll get her home soon"

"Isn't she supposed to stay longer?"

"She is but she can't if I haven't cleared the bill"

"How much is it?" Clara asked

"Nine hundred dollars, I don't have that huge amount of money, I would have to pay more for some documents and medications"

"How did it happen?" Clara asked her

"What do you mean?"

"Why did your dad leave?" Clara said

"Erhmm, it's not something to talk about but I will because it's you" Ava said

"You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to"

"It's fine, I can talk about it" Ava adjusted her soft thighs, shaking off her shoulder with her eyes close then she inhaled deeply




Mardrigo's POV


"Take her to the next room" Mardrigo ordered the huge man standing next to him "make sure she is tied up" he added

"Yes boss" he responded

"You won't get her, you bastard" Nancy screamed

"Shut the Fuck up" the huge man said giving her a dirty slap on her face, he then went further to tie her mouth and hands

The room became still, it's stillness and quietness made Darel shiver in fear

"Just a simple task" Mardrigo's voice thickened in anger, his voice echoed, bouncing from one edge of the room to another "And you failed"

"Her identity wasn't disclosed properly" His voice shivered

"It was specific, she is the owner of Gregohelmi company, manufacturer and supplier of tiles and texture, I even went further to disclose the history of the company's name with countless photos, her sister doesn't even work at any department in the company and yet you decided to be foolish " Mardrigo turned to face his briefcase


" It was just a misunderstanding" Darel hands grew sweaty, he could hear himself breath, every heartbeat became louder than the silence "It hasn't gotten to that" Darel pointed at the gun Mardrigo was bringing out of his briefcase, praying that somehow he changes his mind

"Do you know the stir you have caused, the police and other private investigators would be on the lookout for the kidnappers, do you know how that has just affected me?" Mardrigo raised his hand and pointed the gun to his forehead "Don't worry, I would make it easy for you"

"Please" Darel knelt on the floor, pleading for mercy "I promise you that this mistake won't happen again, please boss, second chance please" Darel was panting really hard, pleading as tears roll down his eyes

"That's not how it works, there's never a second chance, you probably planned to keep her away and disguise her with her sister"

"I promise you that I" Darel was interrupted

(Gun shots)


He was killed before saying what he needed to say, it was a warning for Mardrigo, she was coming for him for all the plagues he caused on her fews seconds before he was born



Mardrigo blew the smoke at the tips of the gun and returned it to his briefcase, then he walks out of the room

"Get it clean" he told one of his hefty men Sam protecting him, getting involved in criminal activities is a norm for those associating with the Mardrigo's

"Get me another bastard" He told his bodyguard next to the room Nancy was kept

"OK Boss, what about Nancy?" he asked

"Do whatever you want to with her, but still keep her here hidden" Mardrigo said before entering his car

"Fully understood" The bodyguard robbed his hands together throwing an evil smile

"I'll go after you" The darker guy said

"OK" the body guard replied as he opened the door, going in to achieve his plans


Mardrigo was still on the way, about to get home before Tom called

"What did you do?" Tom asked with so much authority

"It was a total misunderstanding, my men carried the wrong person" Mardrigo said

"I know that you carried the wrong person, I want to know why you would make such a silly mistake, do you know how hard it would be to get her now? Leaving traces to us?"

"We are deeply sorry for this mistake, it was a total misunderstanding and it would be rectified as soon as we can" Mardrigo

Like they say, the devil always has a child


"You better do" Tom said as he hung up the call

Madrigo knew Tom very well, his ways evil and unforgiving, he could tear out the skin of a human slowly with every damn piece… a low key psychopath…



Helsi's POV


I couldn't wait any longer, Lusi was taking too much time, I needed to go in and teach that bitch a lesson.

Helsi left the car, walking straight to her door

(Doorbell rings)

Helsi wasn't surprised when David opened the door

"Please ma'am, who are you here to see? David asked as calmly as he could, he did not want to pour out his frustration on Helsi


" I am here to see the mother of that beautiful child "Helsi looked at the child, wishing she could have hers

" Ohhh" David noticed that he left the door opens allowing people passing down to look at his beautiful house inside " David clears the throat to bring Helsi's attention back to him

" Who are you? " He asked again

" I am here for Racheal "
