George's POV


"What happened to her? How did it happen?" George asked him over the phone

"She was murdered sir" he hesitated to complete his answer to the question

"Who is the damn fool responsible for this?" George became furious

"The person responsible is… sir the person responsible for her death is uncertain yet but your daughter Helsi is a suspect together with David, Racheal's husband"

"Which Helsi are you referring to here?" he wasn't sure that he heard clearly what James had just said

"Boss, Helsi your daughter is a suspect because as the inner source said, she was there when it happened, together with her husband Tom and David" he said again

"Is Racheal still-" he got interrupted by the abrupt way Mary opened the door

"Jeez, easy babe" he said to her

"What's wrong?" she was still panting from the heavy way she ran to the room

"Who is over the phone?" She points the phone and went closer to see who he was talking too

George then tilted the phone for her to see clearly that she was speaking to James

"What about Racheal?" She was still trying hard to gasp for air "Why were you shouting?" she was getting very worried

"I would speak to you later James, just do as I've said before" George Said

"OK Boss," he could only go half way in the speech before George ended the call

"Hey, calm down and listen to me" He had to calm her down because she was loosing it

"Did something happen to my baby? That's all I ask for right now"

George didn't know whether to keep it as secret or just tell her right at him

"She is fine, I was just a minor accident" George finally found words to say

"What do you mean?" She opened her eyes wide open, tampering with her already applied makeup

"She got involved in a car accident and she was rushed to the hospital but look at me" George touched her face, she was already crying "Look at me" He held her"


"Go on already" She said

"She was rushed to the clinic and the doctor said that she would feel better soon" George lied

"I'm going over there" Mary stood and walked to the wardrobe, her clothes were already removed and arranged

"Why? Going there won't change anything" he went to her

"It will change a lot of things, I shouldn't have followed you in the first place, how could you think of this even when our daughter's life is at stake" she made a lot of sense

"How would you travel?" he asked

"Is that how I am so low to you? You think that I can't afford fundamental things for myself?" she scuffed "Watch me leave your lazy ass" Mary shouted at the top of her voice

"I didn't mean it that way babe, I was only asking if you are using going to use the train station or the air" George said

"It's very gleary," his precise question that he just asked me

"What the hell is pretty gleary? Must you make life a living hell for everyone around you?" George got upset

He was shocked when he got the news, especially if his daughter is involved in this, Mary cannot find out about it because her mind is polluted and her only child… Gosh!! She would kill for her

" OK, what are we going to do about it now?," Mary swayed her hands around his face

"Let's hold on a little, until after her recovery then we can show ourselves" It did not come from his heart, the fast decision that his wife is making him do really angers him these days

The love he has for Helsi and Nancy surpasses that of Racheal, so whatever decisions he makes must certainly benefit Helsi and Nancy first, if it doesn't then he would be reluctant towards it

The harsh and brash way Mary's mum treated him made him furious towards Mary because she was always by her mother's side and never cared about his point of view towards a certain decision he made especially when it has to do with her mum

"You can sit and wait here, but I am off to see her" Mary insisted

"Alright, I would come bail you out later" George said and turned his face to his face

She knew what he meant by that statement and that look… "he made points though" she thought to herself

"Won't you give me access to your underground drivers?" Mary's tone lowered

"So you can speak calmly?" George hissed and left the room

"I regret the very day I saw, it's because of you that the world sees me as a criminal, I can't live my life… do things I want to just because of the fucking foolish mistake you did" her voice got harsh

"I'm not holding your hands, you can go any fucking place you want to go to" George said from the living room

"And who told you that-" she got interrupted by a phone call

"Ohh Clara" Mary sighed

She picks the phone call to explain why she can't make it

"Ohh dear, how is he feeling?" Clara asked

"I hope he gets better" Mary said over the phone

"Just like that, waking up to heavy migraine… it happens" Clara said

"Yeah it does, and he needs my help now"

"One of your maid can take care of him though, you don't have to be around your husband all the time, this might be our only chance to see before I travel out" Clara said

"You're not relocating, are you?"

"Well… I am" Clara said, making funny noise over the phone

"But you just got here"

"The other one is bigger and more beautiful"

"The cost would be higher than this one" Mary replied

"Yeah, it's actually 5.6 billion dollars" those numbers just came out of Clara's oesophagus like it was a mere number

"Huh?" Mary almost screamed over the phone

"You heard right"
