The Reason He Killed His Driver


Tom's POV


He directed him to Butrico's home, Tom had never been there before, he didn't know who Butrico was nor had he seen him before

He just kept still as the guy showed David that way, David feared that he might do something terrible if he sees Helsi there because he already took him to Lusi's home and she wasn't there nor was Lusi there

He wished he was informed way before time about this movement so he could warn Helsi and her baby, if she was actually there with Butrico

He looked at his phone several times, wishing his phone could read his mind and just send a message to Helsi wherever she is but it was only a super power she wished she had from childhood

He remembered when he was in a similar situation, his dad was into some criminal activities and the people he made deals with were in search of him because he was not able to meet up with his debt

And when things were really choked up for him, he ran away with him and his mum to somewhere he thought he wouldn't get caught in but they found his dad through him

He went to school when his dad told him not too because he knew that the guys he was running away from was going to his school that very day but David being so stubborn at a young age, left and went to school

It was when he was heading home, he was alone because he friends had parted ways to their home so he was left alone, then 3 men from nowhere rushed to him, dragging him and threatened to show where his dad is and that if he doesn't he would get killed

David wasn't afraid at first because he thought they wouldn't be able to do it but he shaked when they brought out some harmful substance

One with a gun, another with a knife and the third with a three mouth harmer, the first even went further to show that he wasn't joking and blow a bullet to the air

David shaked at this, he remembered his father teaching him ways to be strong when he faced dangers like this but this… this was beyond his strength, he began to shake

They started laughing at his weakness and told him to take them to his dad that instant, David held his phone to his trouser wishing he could send a message through magic or the phone could somehow read his mind and send a message to his dad to run away or get prepared for them but it couldn't… he just couldn't

And he didn't want that for Helsi, he stopped the car

"Anything wrong David?" Tom asked from behind

"Yes sir" David was shaking because he knew Tom could just shoot him, dumb him like he does to other people and call somebody else to drive him there because he was certain that Tom didn't know how to drive a car

"What is the problem?" Tom asked, smoking out the cigarette that he held to his right hand

"I won't let you hurt Helsi or her child"

"My child you mean?" Tom pointed that out

"She has done nothing wrong sir, she chose to be alone, please just let her be"

Tom was quiet for some time, didn't say a word for about a second then he spoke "Would you keep driving? or I would just replace you"

"No sir" David said with all the boldness that he could summon

"This could only mean one thing, you know where we are going to which means you know where Helsi is"

David wanted to reply a yes to that but he thought better, he kept quiet

"Fuck!" Tom hit the chair directly opposite him in the car "Get down" he said to David

"Please let her be even though I know that I won't survive from this but please -"

"Get lost" Tom raised his voice

David came out of the car, Tom looked at him from his glass, he was angered but a part of him felt that he didn't need to just throw him off like that, they've been together ever since he got married to Helsi

He had literally been a dad to him, a dad that his original father wasn't

Tom brought out his gun and pointed towards him and he walked away, his target was his head but he went to his arm and shot it "Please survive this" he thought to himself

David fell to the floor, Tom turned his face from him and faced the guy that was directing the way to Butrico's home

"Can you drive?"

"No sir, I can't" He replied

"Which dumbass guy can't drive a car at this age?" He groaned

"You can drive us while I lead the way" he said so boldly to Tom's face

Tom looked at him, he didn't touch him, of course he couldn't… he needed him to get to Helsi so he really needed to control his temper when dealing with him until he gets Helsi to his hand then he would kiss his life goodbye for that stupid question

Tom smiled and kicked his teeth then turned to his phone to call somebody else

(Tom having conversation)

"Where are you?"

"I need you to drive me somewhere"

"I don't know" He looked around for any landmark but didn't see any, then he turned to the guy "Where is this place?"

"Along Braintrust High school" the guy seated replied

"Along Braintrust school, just get there, I would be waiting for you there"

The guy wished he knew everything they talked about but he could only hear Tom's side of the story during their conversation

"Someone is heading here soon" Tom said to him

"Yeah, I heard your conversation" he replied

"Tell me, who was Helsi with when you saw coming out of the clinic?"

"I just saw her coming out with a tall huge guy, a lady just like her and an old woman"

"Of course, Lusi and her mum" he puts the cigarette he held back to his mouth
