Who Pulled The Trigger

Helsi's POV



"Good day"

He opened the door for her to get in

"I sent the documents to your email, but I came with the hard copy to" Helsi said going to sit

"Yes, I did" he went close to her "Can I offer you anything?"


"Ohh God, I wish I could but am fucking scared, I literally can't think straight" Helsi sighed

"Everything would be fine, just give me details of everything that happened when you went there" he assured her

"OK" she took a deep breath "And this is how it began…"



Mardrigo's POV


It was time to get Davison back home from school, his mum wasn't around, went to the grocery store to get some things needed


Madrigo thought to himself that he might see Nancy if he checks again

He drove past the building to check, he went in, walking slowly and careful because stumbling on one of Tom's guard can be a death wish

He accessed the first room then to all the room but still not sign of her

"I hope she is fine," He said to himself, walking out. He felt he had done his best and he wants nothing bringing him back to the building so he has to take care of Tom

"Dad, why didn't you drive in?" Davison asked running to the car, his dad packed outside

"I'm sorry buddy, everywhere is occupied inside"

"Dad, there is no car inside the school premises" Davison snapped

"Oh my, what is wrong with daddy?"


"Dad" Davidson laughed "Let's just go"

They entered the car to go, the drive was silent for some minutes until Davison broke it

"I don't know why my class teacher keep calling me to his office, telling me to tell you to confess" Davidson groaned "Did you do anything?, he says it jokingly so I don't really take it to heart"


"Me? Why would he say that to you, even as a joke?" Madrigo was upset at that

"He's just messing around dad, you didn't do anything and that reminds me, I need some money dad" Davidson held his dad's hand

"I'm driving you know, what do you need money for?"

"Another smartphone dad"

"What? How many do you have already?" Madrigo looked at him in shock

"Don't get us killed" Davison after his dad stared at him long enough to get them killed on the way

"You didn't think of that when you held my hand" he turned to face the road as he drove "And how old are you?"

"13 dad"

"That was a rhetorical question, you are too young to such accessories"

"I'm a teenager already" Davison groaned

"Not an adult yet, and you couldn't save your mum when that guy assassinated"

"Dad" Davison sent his facial warning

"Hey, I'm just messing with ya and I need to talk to that teacher of yours telling you to tell me all worth not

" OK, you can tomorrow "

" Yes I will, ohh look who's back" Mardrigo drove slowly, as he blew his horn

"You are a bully dad" Davison laughed "I want to walk with her"

"I slowed down so she can come in"

"I don't have to be in the car all the time, I want to walk with her please" Davidson pleaded

"Hey boys" Mum finally got to the car

"Davison wants to take a walk with you" Mardrigo said

"Now?" mum asked

"Yes mum, dad would continue driving slowly behind us" Davidson said

"Alright" mum gave a tired look

"Mum is tired Davis, you guys can take a walk another day" Madrigo added

"No, it's fine, come buddy let's start our walk" Mum said giving Madrigo the vegetables and fruits that she brought


"OK, if you say so" Mardrigo stopped for Davison to step down properly, he walked at the opposite direction of the road, it's safer there

Madrigo got distracted and almost hit an old lady

"Shit!!!" He remembered "Tom is going to skin me alive" he remembered he has left his mother tied when he went there for his family

"Be careful dad" Davison said at the top of his voice

"I'm sorry" he apologised, he looked at his son and wife as they walked with joy, he couldn't have asked for anything else

He arranged his affairs for the next day, he was going to Untie Tom's mum that's if she hasn't done it then to Davison's teacher



Helsi's POV


"I brought my gun out pointed it towards them, but it wasn't to her, it was to Tom"


"How then did she get affected?" he asked

"I did not say I pulled the trigger… Tom was with a gun too, I saw it and when…. When she went for a hug and then it happened" She talked like she had lost her memory and recovering it bit by bit

"Did you pull the trigger?"


"No, I did not, I wanted to but then someone else did it, it's either its Tom or David" Helsi said

"Did you count your bullet before leaving?"


"Yes I did, it was five"

"Did you check it when you got home?" The lawyer Hamel asked

"No I did not"

"Well, that's how we would know if it's used or not, because sometimes our brain plays trick on us changing the scenarios from how it actually happened"

"OK, I've got it at home, neatly kept" Helsi said

"Good, we would just have to head back home to get it, is this what you wore yesterday?"

"No, I changed this morning" Helsi replied

"OK, Go on with the explanation"


"After that, Tom ran away and I did the same but I watched how David came out laughing, he watched her bleed"

"Woah, that shouldn't be"

"I hope am not going crazy, I actually feel weird"


"Do you want to check yourself at the clinic?" He asked

"Yes, I will do just that after our discussion" Helsi responded

"I am done for today, we would proceed when you get the gun the way it was and also you checking on yourself in the clinic
