The Appointment


Helsi's POV


I left to go home immediately I had the discussion with my lawyer, thinking about what he said

"Am not crazy" she said to herself, she kept playing the scenario over and over again in her head, trying to see if she had missed a part… any part

"That was quick"

"Yes, I need to get some information and documentation of some details before I proceed" Helsi said

"So you guys have nothing yet?" Lusi asked

"No we do have something, just need some clarified facts to prove I wasn't the one that killed her" Helsi went further into the kitchen for a glass of water

"Everybody is out?" she noticed the stillness in the house

"Yes" Lusi responded "Butrico is off to see his brother and Joy went for some appointment"


"What about you?" Helsi asked

"I'm off to the airport"

"Airport? Are you travelling?"

"No, am going there to bring Paul home" Lusi replied

"Your husband?" Helsi was shocked

"Yes"

"Why didn't you tell me or any of us?"

"I would have, but you've been busy lately" Lusi went further to take her bag to go

"How busy was I not to listen to you Lusi, I am very upset with you for this" Helsi rolled her eyes

"I would see you later sweetheart" Lusi blew a kiss and left

"Whatever, just come home safe" Helsi said

(Phone Call)

Helsi ran to her phone to pick the call she has been waiting for

"Hey, sorry I've been busy" he apologised

"It's not a problem" Helsi responded

"How are things going over at your end?"

"Still trying to resolve the issue at hand, what about you?"

"OK, just let me know when you need anything, can we see?" Jude asked

"Yes we can, I am free and alone"

"OK, do you want me to come over at your place?" Jude asked

"Yes you can"

"OK, I would be there in few minutes" Jude ended the call

Helsi sent a text message to Lusi, telling her about the arrangements with Jude

And she called immediately

"Who the hell is Jude?" Lusi screamed over the phone

"Easy, he is just a new friend"

"When did you have this new friend?"

"That's why I said he is a new friend" Helsi responded

"Well, just do whatever you want to do safe, do you understand?"

"Yes mummy I understand" Helsi laughed over the phone "I'm not a teenager anymore"

"Alright, I would be back soon, am close to the airport"

"Drive safe" Helsi said as she ended the call

Helsi went upstairs to arrange herself and some documents that her lawyer requested, she turned to the bag where she kept the gun

She went close to the bag to check the number of bullets, to confirm that she wasn't crazy




Mardrigo's POV


After taking Davison to school for his lectures, Mardrigo went straight to his teacher's office to confront him


He went to the admin office, asking of his teacher

"Is there an issue going on sir?"

"No, I just need to see him for some important appointments" Mardrigo responded

"He would be here with you soon sir" The admin responded

He reached out for his phone to make a call which he believed was for the class teacher, telling him to come to his office immediately

"Sir" he opened the door, he turned and saw Mr Mardrigo sitting opposite, he then knew why he was called "You called for me sir"

"Yes, you have an appointment with the father of Davison, is there a problem?"

"I'm not sure about that sir, Davison is doing very well academically" Josh, the class teacher said

"Sir, he is here so please can you tell us the problem?" The admin said so calmly

"I would like to speak with him alone" Mardrigo still insisted

"OK, I would leave you two to discuss briefly" he looked at Josh and then to Mardrigo "Other kids need to learn and this is encroaching into their academic affairs"

"An appointment after school activities" Mardrigo pointed out

"That would be fitting sir and more convenient" The admin responded

Josh stood there still, his heart beat ran twice, he became sweaty, he knew and have heard about a lot Mardrigo and his evil ways. His father is currently on the case on Tom and he suspects Mardrigo has a hand in the death of Racheal, but he wasn't so sure and the mistake he kept doing was throwing threats to him through Davison

"I would get his email address and set an appointments for another day" Mardrigo said

"It would be sent to you now" The admin said

"Thank you" Mardrigo stood and threw a dirty look at Josh and left a smile with him before leaving

"Sit Josh" The admin's voice grew deeper in anger

"OK sir" Josh went to the chair to sit

"What is the problem?"

"I don't have a problem with Davison or his dad, I don't have any idea about why he came or the issue he has with me" Josh voice was shaky, he was constantly cleaning his sweats off his face

"If I get to hear that he have a problem with you and you choose not to say it, then you are going to lose your job" The admin opened his documents to get his files "Leave my office"

"OK sir" Josh stood to leave

"Close the door behind you please" He added

Josh came out breathing in and out very fast to get hold of himself, trying to process everything. He wasn't scared of losing his Job, he would stand for the truth with his dad on the case of Tom

"Alright" he sighed deeply, then he walked back to the classroom to his students

Davison saw the look he gave him when he entered the classroom, he then knew that his father had confronted him

"Hello guys" Josh slammed the book on his desk to get them quiet, they were so noisy that they did not notice when he came in
