Tom's POV


They tried bringing Karim back but to no avail, he died, Tom really went deep in slitting his throat

They brought the new to him that he had murdered and Karim and that he would pay for it with his life

Tom became the talk of the talk, his company had to be closed, all his accounts banned

It was placed on the newspaper

It got to everybody's ear including Helsi

Tom stayed in the cell that he was then he made a silent prayer for an Angel to always be with his daughter that Helsi bore for him, he wished he saw her before he would be dead, he would have died happily


Helsi's POV


Lusi ran into Helsi's room

"Check your timeline" Lusi said in excitement

Helsi turned to her phone quickly and saw the news, "Tom sentenced to death for murder?" she couldn't believe it

"This is great news right?" Lusi's excitement went off when she noticed Helsi might have not liked it

"I don't know, I dislike him but I don't want him dead"

"You didn't cause his death, he did" Lusi said

"He just causes trouble anywhere he goes to and now he went further to kill someone in jail… jail?" she opened her mouth in shock

"I know he could be extreme, which he has been but like risking his life openly like that was insane" Lusi added

"What's his problem?" Helsi didn't look happy at all

"When is the death sentence?" Lusi asked

"Tomorrow morning"

"Oh wow" Lusi thought to herself that it would be very difficult for Helsi, watching her husband die would be the worst nightmare ever

"That's… that erhm quick" she said in a low tone and went closer to Helsi

"It's not your fault" she said again

"I want him to at least see his child" Helsi said

"What if he hurt her?"

"He won't" Helsi was almost crying

"Alright, we would go there first thing tomorrow morning before my flight, I just need to get my things prepared this night so that I would just head off with mum from there"

"Thank you" Helsi said

Lusi left her, she thought she want to be alone at that point in time to just process everything she just saw

And immediately Lusi left, she heard Helsi talking to herself, and sobbing

She just let her be, pour out all her emotions and she would definitely feel better

The day for his death was drawing closer and Helsi feared the thought that she might not see him again

When Butrico came back later in the evening, he told everyone at home that he heard about Tom's death sentence

"We've seen it too" Lusi responded

"Well that's a great news" Butrico smiled

"Yeah it is, but not for Helsi, she still loves him you know…"

"Yeah, I get" he went to his room and kept his bag then walked to Helsi's room

(Door Knock)

Helsi wiped her tears immediately then she answered after the second knock, then she walked to the door to open it

"Butri" she said and went further to hug him

"Tom is gonna get killed tomorrow morning" a hot tear rolled down her cheek

He looked at her and cleaned the tear that rolled down


"I'm really sorry about that" he said

She then stopped hugging him and went to her bed "I'm tired of hearing sorry, it doesn't help anything or anyone"

"I wish I could do something to stop it, but I can't" he said going close to her

"I know" she smiled

"But it's the best decision" He added

She looked at him, no one had ever cared to ask him how he was doing, he was always the one there for everyone at any time and any day and no one had asked about his own problems

"How was work today?" Helsi asked

"Pheww, it was exhausting and annoying" Butrico groaned "Thanks for asking though"

"Tell me about it" Helsi kept looking at him

"About my frustrating day?" he smiled

"Yes, I'm all ears"

"OK" he adjusted his legs to sit well

Helsi loved his smile, she just haven't noticed before neither have she noticed how caring he is to her even after treating him like trash, he actually does love her

Helsi loves it when a guy knows how to control his hormones and sexual desires, when she first met Tom, he tried to make some advances on her but she stopped him

But Butrico is different, he has once though, when he wanted to kiss her but after that he had never tried to touch her without her consent

"You have a beautiful smile" She said

"Ohh thank you" he opened his teeth wider

Helsi laughed

"I took it from my face but my brother's smile is deeper than mine" he said

"Yeah, that reminds me, he called and apologised" Helsi said

"Who? Jude?"

"Yes he did"

"Oh wow, that's great" he responded

"Yes it is, so go on with what you were saying"

"OK" he smiled again "My secretary miskept a very important document which belonged to a client, we searched all the software and hard copies but we couldn't find it there and the client was already waiting for it" he sighed

"After all the stress, we didn't find it and that was how we lost a very good and strong client"

"I hope you gave your secretary a sack letter?" Helsi added

"Of course, he followed the client immediately that instant"

"Good, some of them don't know why they are working, they don't know that it's a privilege that can be taken away from them" Helsi scuffed

"Yeah, what about you? How was your day?"

"My day was OK, the normal activity, I got new workers that applied, made Ava the manager like she bargained for to the voice record and then I came back home" Helsi turned to check her baby

"OK, that's pretty good"

"Yeah, would you follow us tomorrow?" Helsi asked

"For Tom?"

"Yeah, i just want him to see his child before he died, I won't even stay and watch the process, immediately he sees her, I'm off"

"OK, I will" Butrico agreed
