The Long Awaited Test



"I'm leaving now" Jude walked upstairs in anger

"I am just trying to have a normal conversation with you and you are walking away" Butrico raised his voice

"I'm leaving and for your information, if you don't tell me why my relationship with Helsi burdens you then I'm not breaking off anything with her" Jude said as he slammed the door

"I" He groaned, raising his hands, then he turned to his phone. A message from Lusi came in

"Come on, you don't have to leave because of such minor argument" Butrico said out loud as went up to Jude's room

Butrico opened the door slowly

"I intend to leave today, my wife needs me and" He stacked his last shirt on his bag and looked at Butrico "You shouldn't just leave home or mum like that, she needs you"

"She is perfectly fine without me, besides she says it all the time"


"She doesn't mean it you fool!!!" Jude slammed him

"I send some money to her all the time, so that she can get anything she wants" Butrico said

"The little things matter, family does" Jude took his bag, then stood to look around his room to see if he forgets anything

"I would attend your wedding" Butrico said

Jude was shocked, he stared at Butrico like he had seen a monster "You?"

"Yes, I will" he repeated

"What makes you think that I believe you?" Jude rolled his eyes "You've done this several times, not just on my previous marriages but on important and special occasions, and you think.." Jude scuffed


He held his bag really tights and close to his chest, he was ready to leave

"Don't give me that look" He said to Butrico "I intend to leave sooner or later either ways I'm leaving today"

"I know you when you are upset"

"I hope to see you at the wedding" Jude walked out of the room

"Alright, just…" the thought of telling him to stay away from Helsi creeped in but he thought better

"Safe trip back home buddy" Butrico said instead

"Why did you say 'just' ?"

"Sorry, it was a mistake" Butrico apologised

"OK" Jude walked downstairs, going to the door to leave

Butrico followed him downstairs

Jude went further to the door, then paused "So" he smiled "Are you going to take me to the airport?"

"Yes I will" Butrico smiled back

He walked quickly to where he kept his personal key "I've given my drivers some time to chill, I've been driving myself around lately"

"It's necessary sometimes" Jude said

Butrico looked at the statement he said "You drive yourself?" he laughed "I've just seen you drive yourself today, never have I seen you driven yourself before"

"What the fucking hell" Jude laughed

"Let's go before you start ranting, Lusi already called" Butrico said

"And who is Lusi?" Jude taps his shoulder

"What?" Butrico laughed "I shouldn't have said that, she is just a friend besides, she is happily married"

"You couldn't have, but you did so I would hear you call her name and here you are telling me not to chase after my love"

"I'm not married, only I can go after a woman not you" Butrico pointed out

"Woah Woah, who is that gorgeous lady standing over there?" Jude signalled, with his senses at alert

Butrico caught unaware, shakes his head "You never change"

"I was just messing with you" He said as he opened the car to get in

"Messing with who? If you are left, you would go after her"

"No I might not" Jude smiled

Butrico drove out, down to the airport to send him back to his wife

"I would see you in two weeks" Butrico said to him

"Keep the company running like you do" Jude ignored what he said about him coming over for his wedding, he knew his brother better than going out for events

"Say hi to mum on my behalf"


"No I won't, you would have to come do it yourself" Judge gave a straight face to show his seriousness on what he had just said

"I can always reach out to her you know, so don't feel so special that I'm asking you to do it for me" he went for a hug

"See ya" he waved him goodbye





Helsi's POV


I knew I needed to head to the clinic before noon to check on myself, I haven't been having the best feeling recently

"I need to go to the clinic now"


"OK, I'm sure Butrico would be back before you get back"

"OK, Paul is still resting up till now?" Helsi asked as she carried her bag and car key

"I don't know but Lusi went up to him" Joy replied

"Alright, just let her know that I'm off to see my Doctor"

"Alright, call if you need anything" Joy blew a kiss "And call if you are going to spend the night with him again" she said smiling

"OK" Helsi laughed, then she left

She drove down to the hospital, she was already having one of those stomach pains that comes with it's own migraine

"Are you on an appointment with the Doctor ma'am?" The secretary asked

"Yes"

"Your name please?" She asked as she carried the phone to call his office

"Helsi To…" she stopped "Just tell him Helsi"

"OK ma'am" she said, then whispered the rest over the phone "OK" she said out loud this time

"You can go in please"

Helsi walked to his office, then opened it

"You are welcome Mrs Helsi" he said pointing to the chair "Please"

"Thank you" she sat on the chair

"Sorry, that you have to be asked all the time before getting in, I would discuss it with my secretary"

"OK" Helsi wasn't ready for the long talk, she wanted him to go straight to the point of why she was there

"So, can we proceed to take the test?" he stood up

"Yes please" She also stood up
