She Is Still My Wife!

Tom's POV


Tom was released, he was ordered not to go anywhere near David and Helsi after their divorce is finalised

Tom thanked his lawyer

"You should thank your wife for getting pregnant" he replied

Tom smiled "After so long, so I'm gonna be a father now"

"I'm not sure how that would play out since you already filed a divorce paper" he said


"She has a soft spot for me, she would definitely play my game"

"I think you should be satisfied with what you have, besides you are not allowed to go close to her" his lawyer advised

"She is still my wife and" he turned to face him well, throwing his dirty looks "Do you want to lose your job?"

"Excuse me?" he faced him too "I have some level of craziness in me too, I've been stressing me ass for your stubbornness way before your spent about three days in jail" he said it all, he was very exhausted of Tom's attitude and he doesn't realise how tired he is making his lawyer

Tom knew he's got the best lawyer and sending him off would be his loss and he knew he had been a tough shell for the past few months

He wasn't ready to apologise for anything goddamn thing

His lawyer broke the long silence " You've just got to be less reactive to certain things, it irritates the opposer"

"Where is my driver?" Tom asked after his eyes had scanned through the environment without any sign of David his driver

"He should be here any moment from now" he turned to his wrist watch

The sun's temperature was much, standing outside for a long time could get his skin burnt

He didn't want that coupled with the fact that he needed about 5 hours of serious shower to take the filthy touch of Karim out of his body

After the thought of that, he shaked his head with a smile, his lawyer was tempted to ask but changed his mind

His driver, David drove in, the smile on Tom's face widen the more

His lawyer scuffed at his continuous smile, he knew he was up to something and was definitely going to do something stupid which would lead him to jail again

"Good day Sir" David came out saying as he kept his head lowered

"You look good Dave, how has life been?" He asked

"Life's been good sir" he replied

"Without me in your life?" Tom asked with pride

"No sir, you make my life complete"

"Alright then, let's head home" Tom said and turned to his lawyer

"Thank you for everything you are doing" he stretched his hand for a handshake

"Yeah" his lawyer forced a smile and went for the handshake

Then Tom faced his car and walked in which David had already opened for him to get in

"I would get the papers to you as soon as possible and don't forget the Judge's instructions" he added

"Do as you wish" Tom said to his lawyer and ordered David to drive on. He really wanted to see his mum first before the thought of any other things creep in

"How are you doing sir?" David broke the silence during the drive

"Ahh...I've been good, how is my mum doing?" he asked with a smile

"She already left"

"She already what?" His smile gradually faded away, he felt like something left his skin after what David had just said

"She left a day after you left"

"Why?" the smile wasn't there any more

"She got attacked"

"By who?" he slammed the car door, he was already very furious and angry

David knew that it was Mardrigo but with the anger written all over his face, he felt it was best if he doesn't know about it yet

"The man remains unknown at the moment" David responded

"Unknown? How the hell did the man pass through the gate, you and the house security guard?" Tom asked

"It was on a Friday, we all go for our Islamic prayers" He looked at him through the side mirror in the car to see his reaction

"Well… how was she when you came back?"

"When we came back the next day, she was feeling better from the man's turture the day before it happened" He said

"Just get me home first" he said with a frown

"Yes sir" David responded

"What about Helsi?" Tom asked

"She hasn't been home too ever since" David shakes his head

"She will soon, I would make sure of that" Tom grinned his teeth so hard

David left no response after his statement, David knew that Helsi wasn't the same woman that Tom had married and she wasn't a soft woman anymore, David feared that she might not succumb to his thoughts of fantasy about them together

"He hated her before, why then does he want to be closer to her especially at this point in her life when she is pregnant" David thought to himself

He sure that If he pushes further and was asked to do something that was off the cliff, he would leave Tom immediately and go for another Job, which he was sure that he would get another kinds of Job which is his long time deep desire

"Do you have any idea of where she is?"

"No sir, I don't" David replied

"Well, I guess I have a lot of things to figure out" He said and reached out for his cell phone beside him

(Phone rings)

"Hi mum" David greeted

"Why did you call?" she asked over the phone

"I heard that you left"

"Ohh, you heard right? You aren't out of jail even up till now" she hissed out loud over the phone

"I am mum, I just came back and I asked of you then I heard that you travelled the day I left" Tom said

"Don't…" she started crying over the phone "Don't call me your mum when you can't even come for me when I needed you, I could have died Tom and you promised to be home that day but you broke your promise" she cried over the phone

"I tried my best to be back home and I promise to get whoever is responsible for what they did to you so could you at least come back home mum"

"Find the person responsible how?" his mum asked

"The unknown person responsible for what they did to you" Tom said

"You mean you want to find your uncle Mardrigo? So silly"

"Who did you just mentioned?" he asked again

David's skin rose up, he knew his mum must have told him the person responsible and that would means danger to his life

"Mardrigo your wife's uncle" she said loudly over the phone

"And I'm not coming back there" she added

"Mardrigo did this to you?"
