Chapter 57 - The Meet-Up

The Meet-Up


Helsi's POV

After the long sleep, she headed down to the station to get some information on her company

"I would head off to the station to get some things done before I meet up with Mardrigo"

"OK" Lusi said "Take it easy on yourself"

"OK, I will" Helsi said and went off

She has already called her driver to come pick her up the night before, so he was already waiting for her outside

"Thanks for coming on time" Helsi said to him as he opened the door wide open for her

"Yes ma'am" He lowered his head then closed the door when she got in

Lusi stood at the door with her hands crossed, staring at Helsi as she went away

Helsi caught her on sigh and sighed "Argh, why is everybody acting strange?" She thought to herself

Her mind travelled through everything she had experienced with her sister, the good and annoying memories of her

A hot tear slid through her cheek, even though she did not stay long enough to form a longer bond with her mum, she still thought about her all the time, she wished all the time that hadn't have to just go through all these all alone

She picked her phone to call Mardrigo, they were many miles still away from their destination

After his usual rejection of his first two calls, he finally picks his third call

"Would you please pick my call the first time I call?" Helsi sounded angry

"Helsi" He said in a low, thick voice "What's wrong?"

"Would you at least pick my call please, its frustrating" Helsi said again

"What's wrong?" Mardrigo asked

"I need to see you" Helsi said firmly

"What for?"

"I have things I need to discuss with you about my sister" Helsi scuffed

"What about your sister do you want to discuss with me?" Mardrigo kept getting to her nerves

Helsi couldn't hold it anymore, she ended the call

Mardrigo knew that she was mad at how he spoke to her… he called back

"Must you be an asshole?"

"I just asked for a single thing and you were just saying irrelevant things" Helsi said

"Take it easy girl, I'm sorry that I did not pick your call immediately, I wasn't close to my phone my little princess, what's wrong baby girl?"

"I'm just frustrated" She said with a shaky voice "I need your help, I know you have dealings with the under ground and I know you can help me find whoever is responsible for the kidnap of my sister"

"OK…" he kept quiet for a little while, "OK, I can do that for you, getting involved in that could get us messy"

"What do you mean by that?" Helsi didn't understand what he meant by that statement

"I know who is responsible Helsi, and getting involved might not be such a good idea"

Helsi was quiet for a very long time, she was in shock at what he said

"What did you just say?" Helsi asked

"I know who is responsible, and I think we should have this discussion in person" Mardrigo said

"Why the hell did you not say anything about this a long time ago?" Helsi was upset

"I would be free tonight, I would send the address of where we would be meeting now"

"OK" Helsi responded

"Yeah, take care of yourself baby girl and know that I wouldn't let anything hurt you right?" Mardrigo said

"OK, I would be there" Helsi responded

"Alright then" Mardrigo said and ended the call

They were already close to the station, Helsi was trying so hard not to break down, she held herself so well

Came out of the car smiling, she was already completely shattered so there was nothing to lose anymore

"Thank you" she said to her driver as he came over quickly to open the door for her to step down

She came out looking as elegant as ever, she couldn't let her predicament beway her

She walked down to the office of the police officer

"I'm here for -" She was interrupted speaking an officer

"Let her in" The commander in chief said pointing towards Helsi

"Thank you" she said "For making life easier for me" she said those words to herself

Then motioned for her to follow him to his office

With the attention she got to herself, she walked even more with elegance and confidence

"Please" he points to a soft chair, Helsi had long desired to sit on for a long time "Have a sit" he added

"Thank you" She said in a soft and thankful voice

"Alright, so you are here for your sister's attack right? He asked firmly

He looked so masculine and slightly dark, his voice so deep, it makes one travel through it with so much pleasure, one has to constantly tap oneself to focus when speaking with him. He has a harsh way of approach, so approaching him was a thought of hell

"Yes please" Helsi responded
