Ava's POV


"There is something I need to discuss with you Helsi" Ava said looking at Helsi

"Ok… is everything Ok? if I may ask" Helsi said

"Yes, but I want to do so when it's just me and you except you are Ok with your friend with us during the discussion" Ava said to her then pointed to Lusi

"It's fine, I can leave" Lusi said

"It's fine with me, she stays during the conversation" Helsi said

"OK" Lusi said, she was jumping inside her, was really glad Helsi didn't push her aside at that moment, but she didn't show it

"Alright then, if you would excuse me" Ava said and walked away

"Woah, the attitude though" Helsi faced Lusi

"Serving us hot, I wonder what she has to say"

"I wonder same too" Helsi responded

Ava walked to every other people that came to show their respects, she went to appreciate their kinds words and presence

After the glass cheering and talks about Ava's mum was a good and cheerful mum, sister, colleagues at work and neighbour

She sure had the best comments than she had when she was alive

Ava gradually wished each and every one of them farewell back to their him when it was time for them to go

Helsi and Lusi sat over the soft sofa which Ava had told them to sit on, they sat and watched how Ava thanked them and received gifts from them until there was no one left except her and both of them sitting on the sofa

They stood up to join her clean the house, the glasses that was kept, everywhere was umkept

It was a really awkward moment, Helsi had never had to converse so closely with Ava except under business terms but this…

"How have life been?" Ava asked Helsi

"Thanks for helping and for coming, I really do appreciate" Ava added

"Life has been good, we've been pushing through as we should"

"I applied for a job somewhere but I haven't gotten response yet" Ava said, she didn't want to directly ask about the company

"OK" Helsi found that strange and really unnecessary, she just wanted her to go straight to the point of the discussion she said she had before

"Well if you still don't get a response before weekend, you are free to come back" Helsi added

And Lusi nodded her head in response to what Helsi had just said

"Ohh, it's back to its normal activities?" she asked

"Yes darling it has" Lusi responded to that

Ava sensed the resentment from Lusi's speech, then she sighed and shakes her head "Well… to the point I made earlier" she said

"Yes please" Helsi said

"Have you heard from your sister since her absence?" Ava asked

Helsi was shocked at that question, she didn't know that the news had gotten that far, she lowered her head and raised it with a sigh

"How did you hear about this?" Lusi asked after she noticed the silence from Helsi

"I'm sorry, I asked her" Ava looked at Lusi and pointed to Helsi

"How did you hear about this?" Helsi asked

"Well… I did not hear about it, I saw your sister as a matter of fact " Ava said

As if all the senses in Helsi rose, she went closer "Huh?"

"I saw her" she clicked her teeth "What a pity" she turned to a glass of wine that she kept beside her

"Where did you see her?" Helsi asked with all concern

"I was" She pointed to the sofa for them to go sit

Helsi was irritated by her bossy attitude

"Was?" Helsi asked as she followed her to sit on the sofa

Ava gave a smile, she likes how Helsi is under her command, and not being so bossy like she would always be at work

"I was coming back from the grocery store where I went to get somethings that I needed, then I saw her running out of a building, her clothes was torn but she held her phone really tight"

"Where? When did this happen?" Helsi was almost going crazy but she maintained her stillness

"It happened around last week" Ava said

"And you choose to keep it to yourself?" Lusi asked

"I looked everywhere for you but I did not, I would have done so a long time in fact, I will the moment it happened" Ava said

"Where is she?" Helsi asked

"I have no idea but she ran to me, I didn't quite get the face at first but when she said she was Nancy, a sister to Helsi… it clicked"

"How would you not recognise her?" Helsi asked

"I've only seen her once and that was when the kidnappers attacked the company"

"Go on with what you were saying" Helsi interrupted

"So she then handed her cell phone to me and said I should give it to you, and she has a voice record that she wants you to listen to, I can't access the phone, I tried doing it at that moment then she said only both of you can have access to her phone" Ava said to Helsi

"Yes, so where is the phone?"

"It's upstairs, in my room" Ava said

"I wasn't expecting you guys here today, after my long search of you and still couldn't get through, I just left the phone lying there in my room until we eventually meet again"

"Well… we are here are we not?" Lusi asked

"Of course you are" Ava responded

"Can I have the phone now?" Helsi asked

"Of course you can" Ava stood up to go in "I would need to bring it first" she walked to her room to get it

Helsi turned to Lusi in shock "What the actual fuck?"

"Calm down, let's get the phone first" Lusi said

"Why do I always get surprises at the end of my misery putting back to the very beginning" Helsi touched her forehead


Ava came back in few seconds
