Ava's POV

"Alright guys, here it is" Ava said coming down from the stairs

Helsi looked as if she could just run to it and grab it from her hand

Ava noticed her facial expression, she then slowed her pace, walked slow taking her time to count every step

Helsi was tempted to tell her to hasten her footsteps but did not

After taking her time, she finally reached the sofa

"Alright" she said as she sat on the sofa

"Can I have it now?" Helsi stretched her hand to the phone

"Yes you can" Ava said but still held the phone tight to her hand

"Then give it to me" Helsi said, she noticed how she held the phone tight

"Of course I will but first, I need you to do something for me" Ava smiled

This was really pissing Helsi off, she couldn't do what she would on other days, like walking away from this shit and disrespect, but… she couldn't

"And what exactly is that?" Helsi asked

"I need to make me the manager in the company when I get back"

Such a silly bargain!

"If I could recall properly, you said that you had already applied for a job elsewhere" Helsi said

"And?" Ava gave a dirty look "Do you want the tape or not?"

"You don't have to be an asshole for something we could just kill you right now and get" Lusi sais5

"Well" she turned to Helsi's stomach " I would make sure your baby goes with me to the land of the dead" then to Helsi's face

"I'll do it, can I have the phone now?" Helsi asked

"Do what?"

"Make you the manager if you decide to come back" Helsi said as she gulped in some air

"Easy, see?" She turned to Lusi, then she released the phone to Helsi

"Thank you" Helsi said as she collected the cell phone, there was still stains of blood on the phone


"Do you at least know where she ran to?" Helsi asked

"No I don't, she also asked me not to say a word to anyone except you before you ask me if I told any other person" Ava said

"Alright"

"I'm glad that I'm out of this shit, I have things to do please if you don't mind" Ava stood up

"Alright, thanks for this, I really do appreciate" Helsi said as she stood up with Lusi to go

(Phone rings)

Helsi checked her phone, saw that it was Butrico that called

Had they stayed there for so long? She was shocked to see what the time was saying

Ava saw them off, Helsi was getting really sweaty and nervous, really anxious to see what her sister kept in the phone for her to see

"Butrico called, he should be at home already" Lusi said, just to ease Helsi from the tension

"Well, he should, we've stayed here long enough for him to be done with work" Helsi responded

They both walked to the car, then they sat quiet in it for a while

"Well that was intense, didn't see that coming, completely opposite to what I expected" Lusi inhaled deeply

"Yeah" Helsi gasped for air "Let's at least move away from this place, its suffocating" she used her hand to wave the air around her away

"It's very necessary" Lusi smiled and started the car to move away from Ava's home

After driving a few miles, Lusi stopped the car

"Do you want to check the phone now?" Lusi asked

"Yeah" Helsi already seemed worn out and teary

"You don't have to darling if you don't want to"

"I'm scared" Tears rolled down her cheek

"Don't be, I'm sure she is doing just fine where she is, time would bring her back to you" Lusi said

It was a funny statement but it went a long way in making Helsi feel better

"I would listen to it later, I don't want to keep Butrico waiting" Helsi said

"Yeah, of course just call when when you want to listen to it"

"You know I won't even open the phone without you there" Helsi said

"Alright, let's head home" Lusi started the car and drove off

After driving few more miles, they got home

Butrico's car was already packed outside, they drove in quickly and rushed into the house

"Hey" Lusi said immediately she set eyes on Mardrigo

"Hi, I've been waiting for you guys for the past 30 minutes, is everything OK? He asked going for a hug with Lusi

"Yeah" Helsi didn't sound like it

"Hey" he went further to hug Helsi too

"I need to get my things" Helsi said and went upstairs

"Alright" Butrico said and watched her go upstairs

"Do you still love her like this?"

"I love her just the way she is" Butrico replied

"We went over to see Ava, her secretary"

"OK?" he said but more of a question for her to go on

"She lost her mum, so we went for a condolence visit as it should be done" Lusi said

"Ohh I'm really sorry for her loss, is that why Helsi is looking that way?" He asked

"No, not exactly" She said in a whisper

"What's the problem?" Butrico asked in a whisper and went closer to Lusi to hear clearly

"She said she saw her sister and then her sister gave her a voice record"

"Gave who? I don't quite understand" he asked

"Ava said she saw Nancy and she gave her a voice record of something that she want just Helsi to listen to" Lusi said

"How did she see her sister? And when did this happen?"

"We went over to her place today but she said she saw her about week ago and Ava had been with the voice record for about a week"

"A week?" Butrico almost screamed at the top of his voice

"Wow" he said again

"So what does the voice note say? Butrico asked
