The General's Advice


Helsi's POV

"Alright then, let's get to it" He swipes off the papers and documents all over his desk, he seems like he was in search of a particular one

"Ahan" He said with relieve "So this is what we've gotten from your sister's demise" his hands travelled through the pages of the document he selected

This reminds her so much of her secondary school maths teacher, Deral, he was always the most serious and educated class teacher, he takes no nonsense and you dare not fail any of his test

The General's prolonged search took her through her mind's past memories


"Hey you" Mr Deral said pointing to James

"Stand up" Mr Darel said at the top of his voice, he was pissed and the class knew why he was



James was always the one with less knowledge in the class, a part of them, the students knew this was heading

Some were laughing and some were wondering why James have to be called all the time, so he opened the door to walk out for some sir

"Did you shower before heading to school?" Mr Deral whispered to Deral's ears, he was going to be well done, walking around the school was going to be helpful especially for him that has a body odour

"Yes sir, I did" James picked the tip of his shirt to sniff it's prove

He removed his nose quickly from his cloth

"I taught you all in class about this, did I not?" He asked his students at the top of his voice

"Yes sir you did" they all responded in unity

"And now, I asked if anybody doesn't understand and what was everyone's response?" He chipped in his ears to the class

"We all understood"

"Thank you, so none of you have any reason to fail this test" He kept the test script on the table that he is shaking

"Yes sir" The students in the classroom responded very quick, they knew how strict and wicked he can be especially when he needs you to stand up for yourself for something that was clearly wrong

These thoughts made Helsi smiled

"I would like to dance my way into your imagination, your smile is all I thrive for" The General said to her, he had noticed her constant smile

Helsi smiled even more after the General's statement of her smile

"Here is what we know about kidnap of your sister" he points to the file

"OK" Helsi adjusted herself to hear him clearly, this was going to be a very important day in her life

"We found some traces" he looked at her "Within" he added

"What do you mean by within?" Helsi was confused by that statement

"We have two suspects, which is Tom, your husband and Mardrigo, a relative"

"My husband?" She couldn't believe

"We are still on the verification because there were so many other hands involved and your husband is being accused of the murder of Racheal, daughter to Mary"

"Yes" she waved what he said about Racheal away, she wasn't interested in all that, her sister was her only concern

"OK" she took a quick deep breath "So you mean, Tom was among the men that came to attack my sister?"

"Yes ma'am, but we want to get from all sources so I would advise you to tell me what you know about this" The General said with a grinning look

"I don't have anything to say to this honestly" she nodded her head in disappointment

"I would advise you get forward any information that can help resolve this and you need to be careful especially around your husband and -" he got interrupted

"Ex-husband" she corrected him

"Divorced?"

"Yet to, the documents are already signed" She said

"I need you to be careful especially around your Ex-husband and Mardrigo, they might scheme the same for you"

"That's why I've got you to protect me from them"

"Of course and you also need to play your role in keeping yourself safe" he said

"And" he looked at his left drawer "You would need to sign several documents for the re-opening of your company"

"OK" Helsi responded, waiting for the documents he was bringing out

"That won't be today, it would be after the case with the judge is resolved" He knew about her own case with the court

"I didn't" she got interrupted

"I know" he nodded his head

"I was told that the case would be adjourned for some reasons" she added

"OK, then you would be experiencing a lot of changes in few days because of the re-opening of your company"

"OK"

"That would be all for now" he said, as he stood up

Helsi stood up too, went for a handshake and thanked him

"My pleasure" He responded

She turned with her mini handbag and left his office, everyone's eyes was fixed at her again as if they had been waiting for her to come out of his office

"Mind your fucking business you all" She said to them and walked to the door

"As if I'm a fucking murderer" she said beneath her breath with anger

She crossed over to the other side of the road, that was where her driver was, waiting for her

Walking just seemed to be a big deal and issue for her, she grew a strange hate for heels, something she wore literally every day but now the stress gets to her nerves

"Hey" she waved at the window, Her driver seem to be lost in thought

He shaked in fear, not of being attacked but of being fired because he kept her standing for God knows how long

"I'm really sorry ma'am" He kept saying as he opened the car for her to get in

"It's fine, why did you stay over here?" she asked

"There seem to be an undergoing construction over the left, so I couldn't pack there but I made sure I didn't go far enough to stress you"

"Drive on, I have an appointment later today and I need to rest"

"To Mrs Lusi's place ma'am?" he asked looking at her through the inner mirror

"No"

"OK ma'am" he immediately starts the car, he knew that she didn't need to be asked unnecessary questions at that point in time
