He Vowed To Protect Her


Butrico's POV


"She didn't say but she will sooner or later" Lusi said just before Helsi came out of the room

"I need help here" Helsi called out from the door

Lusi and Butrico ran to her to help her with her things which she was struggling to bring out

"Easy" Lusi laughed "You no longer have the strength you used to few months ago" she added

"Whatever" Helsi rolled her eyes and walked down the stairs to let them carry the bag themselves

Lusi carried the smaller bag while Butrico carried the bigger one, they both walked downstairs then Helsi stood up ready to go

"Shall we?" Butrico said to Helsi

"Yes we shall" Helsi went close to them to go out

Butrico went further to open the car for her to get in, then he closed it for her after that he carried her bag to the other side of the car

"She would do just fine with you" Lusi said to Butrico

"I'm gonna protect her no matter what happens" Butrico said

"Yeah, I know"

"Isn't it high time we get some statements on Tom staying far from Helsi?"

"On what ground?" Lusi asked

"Yeah, that's a good point" he points to the thin air

"Alright, go on before Tom gets here, we just can't predict his movements any more" Lusi waved him goodbye

"Yeah, I would keep updating you on things happening" he said

"And i would come over constantly to check her, you know how pregnant women can be"

"I don't" he smiled and walked to the other side of the car to enter

Helsi wondered what they discussed outside, but it didn't bother her at all

"One more thing" Lusi said before Butrico would open the car

"Yes" he closed the door gently and looked at Lusi

"Shoot your shot, she deserves someone like you and nobody else" Lusi said

Butrico smiled at what she said and opened the car to go in

He entered the car and drove off

"What were you guys talking about?" Helsi asked out of curiosity

"Talking about how we would kidnap you too" Butrico looked at her and smile

"Really funny" she rolled her eyes

They were both quiet until they got to his place

"I still can't get the beauty of your home out of my head, every damn time I come here, I fall in love with your home over and over again" Helsi said as she walked out of the car

"Thank you, simplicity is always the best" he said

"But some prefer luxurious houses"

"Of course, many in fact do" Butrico replied, bending over to get her bag out of the car

He noticed that she stood at the door, waiting for him "You can go in and have some rest dear, the door is open"

"Ohh" she laughed "Silly me, I didn't even check" she opened it and walked in

"It happens" Butrico replied

He carried her bags for her, locked his car and walked in with her luggages

"Inside is even more beautiful" Helsi said to Butrico with a smile

A thousand thoughts ran through his mind, he wished he had her, that she was his and nobody else. The more she smiled, the more he fell in love with her

"Thanks" he replied with a smile and looked away, his pupils were already dilating, he didn't want to show his feelings to her

"Please show me my room" she said softly

Their conversation were already getting awkward, she had to break it before it gets more awkward

"Alright" he carried her bags and led the way to the room he prepared for her

He walked straight to the room, it was directly opposite his room, he made sure of that so he could stay very close to her if she needed some help, he wouldn't be far away

"Here" he points to the room and opened the door for her to get in

"Thank you" she had said thank you a countless times, she got tired of it

"Enough with the Thank you's " as if Butrico knew exactly what she was thinking about

"Pheww, I need a long rest, today has been very tiring" she went straight for the bed

"I would let you have some rest, then we would talk much later" Butrico smiled

"Thank you very much for standing by by side especially when I needed some help, so kind of you to always be there for me even though I push you away sometimes"

"Hey" he went closer "You don't have to thank me for anything, I really care about you and I want nothing but for your happiness"

"OK" Helsi touched his upper chest "You are a good person" she added

"I'll go now and let you sleep" Butrico said and left the room for her to have some rest

He went to the living room to process everything that has happened together with what Lusi had told him to do

He kept smiling at his thoughts like he had won an award, after his funny thought he went to his room

Before he opened it, he heard someone's voice in Helsi's room, voice of a lady crying over the phone, he wanted to go in but, he changed his mind

He knew it was the voice record that Lusi had told him about earlier, he entered his room and ignored the voice coming from the voice record

He needed some rest too, he had a quarrel with his dad earlier today, it really exhausted him

"I can't rush such things dad"

"You don't have to rush anything, you should at least put some effort in ma such things work" his dad said over the phone

"I am putting effort into it"

"Then bring a wife home, that's all I ask… is it too much to ask?" he shouted over the phone

"Your brother is already married to his fourth wife, I'm not saying that you should go on marrying 10 wives but at least take one"
