Chapter One hundred

Jean's Pov

It had been six days since Arya left and I had missed her a lot. We spoke every evening on phone and I was supposed to visit her by the weekend.

I prepared myself and went to her new place and I got to meet Jade. And from what I saw I had judged him wrongly.

He was a nice and handsome young man and I was grateful to him for helping keep my friend safe.

I made some broth for Jade and she loved it. Jade made it fun and I enjoyed spending time with them.

This game is spin the bottle and never have I ever. I had never really played this game before this was my first time.

You spin the bottle and whoever it lands on gets to ask the never have I ever question. I'll go first" Jade said

"Okay. Let's start" Jade spun the bottle and it landed on Arya.

"Okay ask" Arya tried to think of a question to ask them

"Ummmm...Never have I ever broken a rule"

"Uh....come on" Jade took a drink and so did me. Arya chuckled

"No good girl questions," Jade said.

"I'm a good girl," Arya said

"Your turn now," Jade said to Arya. She held the bottle, spinning it but we didn't see who it landed on because the lights went out.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

I was really getting scared I had never experienced this before

"Let me check what's wrong," Jade said standing up

"Let's find a torchlight"

"I think we should just stay together," Arya  said

"You and Jean should stay together. I'll go and find out what's wrong with the lights" I heard the click of a gun.

"Jade.....is that......are you with a gun?" he remained silent.

"Jade....." Arya called

"Yes, it is a gun. But it's just for safety. Go to your room and stay there. Lock the door also. Don't open until I come back for you" he said in a serious tone.

Nothing seemed right. And I was really getting scared

"Fuck" Arya shouted


"Are you okay?" I asked her

"Yes, let's go" Once we were inside her room, she shut the door and locked it while trying to search for her phone. She checked the bedside table where she had left it but it was not there.

"Where could it be right now?"

"What?" I thought I kept it here. She touched the other side trying to search for it.

"I need to get to my phone," Arya said to me

"Where is it"

"In my room. We are in the guest room and I really need to make a call"


I was so scared of leaving the room, besides Jade had warned us not to leave the room.


"Jade said we should remain in here until he comes back for us"

"What if he is in some kind of trouble? If we stay here we'll never know but if I can get to my phone we can call for help"

"Who can we call"

"I don't know anybody......maybe Mar"

"Arya......." I called her

It was weird that she thought of him even in a moment like this.

"We can't just stay here. We have to try and get help somehow"

"Let's go," Arya said

We tiptoed to her room, we were careful so we did not make a sound, we reached the door and she opened it quietly. We entered and she locked the door. We walked to the bedside drawer and she saw my phone. What a relief?
I was happy she finally found it here.

Arya dialed Mar's number but he did not pick up.

"Please, pick up Mar, please" she kept saying

"Is he not picking up?" I asked

Arya shook my head

"Are you with your phone here? Let's use your phone and call him, he might pick up since he doesn't know who is calling"

"Please don't hang up" Arya begged

"What do you want from me?"

"Please we need your help" I heard her say  again

And I could hear the beeping of the phone.

"What happened?" I asked

"He ended it,"  she said

I equally saw how hurt she felt. I saw her eyes turn glassy but she held it back.


"What do we do now?"

"Let's go out and see what we can do to help Jade"

"No, he asked us to remain here. It might be dangerous Arya" I pleaded but she didn't listen. And so she left me by myself.


Jade's Pov

After the lights went off, I noticed some movements and so I asked the ladies to stay at a place and not come out. I wanted to know what and who that was.

I pulled out my gun and went outside. I checked the backyard but there was no one there.

I scanned the other part of the house as well put there was no one there. Then I noticed some people hiding beside the three.

I quietly followed another angle of the house and then I saw one of them. I was quick to pounced on him.

I didn't want to shoot yet because I didn't know how many they were, I fought with him and he shot me on the arm.

I managed to escape from him and hid behind flowers, they were out there searching for me. I could feel my phone vibrating in my pocket but I couldn't pick it.

My arm as hurt and I had lost my gun. I was bleeding so much, I had to apply pressure on the hand.

When I noticed they had walked far from where I was, I started running back to the house then I saw Arya standing outside the house.


I was beginning to feel dizzy, I was really losing a lot of blood.

"Oh my. Jade, what happened?" Arya shouted

"I told you not to come out Arya.. you should not be out," i said

I fell to the ground and she rushed over to help me.

"What happened? Who did this to you?" But I wasn't able to answer. I wanted her to be safe.

"Run!! Arya run!!" I kept telling her but she  refused

"They are coming for you Arya," I said.

"Run!"

"Go.." i tried to push her to leave but she held me

"I can't leave you like this. You are losing a lot of blood" she said.

She finally pulled me up and took me into the house.

I knew they were gong to come to the house. My blood must have left a trail for them.
I used the last strength in me to get up, I found a cloth and tied it around my arms to stop the blood from coming out so much.
