Chapter Thirty Three

I took my time eating my breakfast, didn't know how much time had passed and I still wasn't done with the food.

After eating I cleared the table, washed the plates, and went back up to my room. Luckily for me, there was a tv in the room and so I stayed glued to it. I watched a couple of soap operas.

A knock came on the door and I went to answer it. It was Mar and I let him come inside.

"I know you want to tell me I told you so. I was wrong to have left your house"

"I came to check up on you, haven't seen you since yesterday"

My cheeks reddened I was too fast. I could have waited for him to say something first before jumping to a conclusion.


"Do you mind if I join you?"

"You don't need to ask me if you should sit"

He joined me on the bed. The room suddenly felt so small with him in it. And the silence was too loud. And then he spoke up.

"Listen Arya I'm not trying to cage you up or something, I just want to protect you"

"Why?"

"Because you need it"

"And not because you want to get into my pants"

"I want to... no I don't want that" he stuttered

"I just want you to be out of harm's way and you know what exactly I mean and not because I want to get into your pants"

I liked the sound of his voice and I wanted him to get in my pants, but I could not admit that I wanted him to want me. I could see his lips and his sea-green eyes so captivating and his arms. I wanted him to have me right here on this bed.

We were both facing each other and then his head was coming closer to mine like he was going to kiss me. And then he pulled back all of a sudden.

"Come down when your get bored," he said and then left.


After Mar left, I spent some time here and decided it was best for me to go downstairs. I got to the living room and met Jade and Mar playing games and so I just went over to the couch and sat down while I watched them play.

"Do you know how to play this Arya?" Jade asked

"No, I don't"

"Would you like to learn?"

"Yeah"

"Pick up the pad and join us"

And then Mars hissed dropped his pad and left the living room.

I was wondering why he did that. He asked me to come down if I wanted to and I did. Now he's acting like my presence irritated him. I was avoiding all of this.

"Don't worry he will come around"

"Did I do something wrong?"

"No, you didn't. He's just in a terrible mood but he'll be fine"

Jade was nice enough to teach me how to play the game and as a fast learner, it didn't take me long to get it.

We spent the next couple of hours playing games and there still wasn't any sign of Mar. I was getting hungry and Jade noticed my constant yawning and he made me lunch.

I went up and took a long nap and when I woke up it was already evening. I wanted to use the shower but there was no water and so went looking for Jade to find him to help me fix it.

I went downstairs to the living room to look for jade. But there was no sight of him, I checked the kitchen but he was not there.

I knocked on his room door but there was no response. I went back to the kitchen and that was when I noticed there was a door leading to the back of the building.


I could see the pool from there and I was curious to know what that part of the house looked like. And there was Jade. He was cleaning the pool.


"Been looking for you all around the house"

"Trying to clear the pool for the pool party"

"Wow, that's amazing. I just wanted you to help me work on the shower in my room. The shower is not flowing"

"I'll help you do that now meanwhile you are invited to the pool party"

"I don't have a bikini and I don't even know how to swim"


Jade followed me up and helped with the shower and I thanked him. Minutes later he came up to with a bikini.


"This is for you"

"Thank you, but hope Mar won't be offended if I show up for it.?"

"No, he won't. It's at 9 pm. I'll be expecting you"


It wasn't a bad idea to go to the pool party. I needed to loosen up a bit. And besides, I haven't been to a pool party before.

9 pm came in a flash and I was dressed up for the party. The bikini was so revealing and so I had to use a transparent shawl to cover up.

Jade came to inform me that it had started and others had started coming in. I chose to follow him because I was going to be so shy to walk into the party all by myself.

There was loud music playing in the background. I went alongside him and just like he said the pool area was already filled up with people, some were seated while some others were dancing.

Jade took me to where Mar and some other people were seated and Mar was surrounded by ladies dancing around him while he touched their asses.

That made me feel jealous. I wanted to be the only one by his side. Jade introduced me to Mera. She was so sweet. She was also Mar's friend.


When Jade noticed I had gotten comfortable with Mera he left me with her to attend to other people.

"How long have you been staying at the house?" Mera asked

"Just two days... why do you ask?"

"Nothing really. It's just weird that Mar has a female visitor and a beautiful one at that"

And that made me blush.

"It's not what you think.. he's just trying to protect me"

"That's the thing, I'm sure he likes you"


"No, he doesn't.."

"Since you got here he hasn't taken his eyes off you"

And I turned to look at him and our eyes met. I took my eyes away immediately.

Jade came over and handed me a glass of booze. I wanted to have fun and without any limitation tonight and so I was going to. I drank glass after glass and I wasn't aware of anything else but fun.
