Chapter One hundred and Five
The moment I got home, I ordered that Mera, Dole, and Keith meet me at the house and it did not take long before they all showed up. I waited not too long before they came over to the house.
"Jade is dead"
I wanted them to get used to the news before I continued. They looked so shocked at what they had heard.
"And we need to take revenge for Jade's death."
"No......." Mera shouted as she burst into tears, Keith went over to her to console her.
"You are the reason this happened" Keith shouted
"You put all our lives on the line because of what exactly? Some siren you fell in love with?"
I was too pissed to control myself and then I gave him a hard punch on his face that sent him tumbling to the ground.
Keith had always been calm, I have always known he would have the tendencies to challenge me at some point.
I suspected him to be the mole and I still suspect him. I wanted to give him another punch when Mera stopped me.
"Please forgive him" she pleaded and I listened, she was in so much pain and I could see it in her eyes
"What do we do next? We need to act fast"
"Logan had Arya as well," I said
"You couldn't do it and someone smarter did," Keith said and I moved Mera to the side and started hitting him. Dole came over and pulled me away.
"We should be talking about our plan and not throwing fists," Dole said and I agreed with him one hundred percent.
This might be a ploy by Logan for Keith to keep distracting me. Keith got up. He looked at me then mera and dole.
"I'm done listening to your bullshit" then he walked away leaving Mera, Dole, and me.
"Before anything has to be done we would have to bury Jade first," Mera said.
"That is right...I agree with her" Dole said
"That is fine. We will have this meeting concerning Logan after Jade's burial tomorrow but for the time being, be guided and careful. Logan is in the watch out"
Mera and I made arrangements for Jade's burial, Jade did not have any relations, it was just Mera, Dole, and I who were present at his funeral. We were still at the graveyard when Logan came in with his men.
Mera put her hand in her pocket and brought out her gun but I stopped her from shooting. Logan laughed really hard. Mera was as angry as a wounded lioness.
"Your woman is feisty and I like my women that way," he said with a wicked grin on his face.
This time I pulled my own gun out and Mera stopped me.
"He has Arya remember?" She said and I tried my best to remain calm. I wanted to rip him into two but Mera didn't let me. She held me by my arms. She was right.
Logan was taunting me, that was a trap but I was not you got to fall for it.
"I will go back and have a taste of your woman" Logan laughed and then walked away.
"Shit!shit!shit!" I shouted. I wanted to hit something to relieve my anger. I walked over to the tree and hit my legs on it. My arm still hurt from the gunshot. I felt a little pain and then mera pulled me back.
"You are going to hurt yourself. You told me to always think things through before acting and that is what we need to do now. We find Arya first"
"Why should we? She is the reason we are in this mess in the first place and I do not think you know..." but before I could finish my sentence Mera interrupted
"That she is a siren" I was surprised when Mera said that
"You knew?"
"Not exactly.....Jade suspected and wanted to tell you but when we realized how much you loved Arya and she loved you he kept shut but he told me"
"She deceived me and all of us"
"I don't even think she knew"
"She did but chose to keep shut about it. That's not love. She is very wicked and heartless to have done so"
"She loved you and I could attest to it. Arya is a gem, siren or not"
"Why did you all keep that away from me?"
"Because we wanted you to be happy. Jade died saving the woman you love. Please do not let his death be in vain. This is the time to honor him" Mera said and then she walked out of the graveyard.
Mera was right, I loved Arya so much and no matter how angry I was with her I missed her so much and wanted her. Since the day she left, I felt like a part of me was missing. I turned to the place where Jade was buried.
"I will 8avenge your death," I said and walked out of the graveyard and joined Dole and Mera in the car then we drive off.
DOLE'S POV
Watching everything I felt some kind of guilt. I had never liked Jade but I never wanted to be a part of his death but when I thought of my mother I felt no pity. Logan wanted Mar and his gang out completely and he was not going to rest until he got what he wanted.
I had informed him about Jade's burial and the location as well. Logan showed up to taunt Mar because he knew how Mar was going to react but he seemed to be under control. Logan had instructed me to be around them so I could get to know their next plan.
After we left the graveyard, we went to Mar's house and the plan was to find Arya. I gave them a description of where I thought Logan could be keeping Arya and it was not so difficult convincing them to go with my plan and Mera was in full support.
