Chapter Sixty Seven

Mole's Pov

I was trying so hard to buy his trust. I wanted to know what he was hiding and I wanted to find out fast. Logan would be my greatest nightmare if I don't get him what he wanted and he made that very clear.

Mar had been withdrawn for a whole now. I wanted to find out what the reason was.  I asked Mera but she too did not know anything about that.

I made sure I was not followed at any point in time. I was always around and ready to work.

I had gone back to the hospital to check on my mother when I got a call from Mar asking me to meet him at home.

I got to the house before he and Mera returned.

"Where is Keith?" He asked me

"I have not seen him in a while. I was expecting to see him when I get here"

Mar nods and goes upstairs.

I was left with Mera and then she came over to ask me some questions.


"Are you sure you haven't seen Keith because it feels like you are covering up for him"

"No. I haven't seen Keith in days and I mean it"

"Look for him the boss wants to see him"

"I will do that. But do you have any idea why he is looking for Keith"

"No. He has not said anything regarding that"


I left the house to find Keith. I had intentions of going to his house. I drove to his house but he wasn't there. I found out where he lives the day I dropped him off after a search.


He wasn't there, tried his lines but was not connecting. Then a text from Mera came in.

Come to the mansion immediately, Arya is missing.


I drove back to the mansion to see a disorganized Mar. He kept pacing back and front. He was speaking with Jade and from what I gathered he had taken her somewhere and she got missing there.

This was the kind of information Logan would want and that gives him an opportunity to have Mar where he wanted him.

Mar ordered that I and Mera search around the city while he followed Jade back to where he was coming from.

Mera and I searched the city but couldn't find Arya. We got back home to meet Mar and Jade.

Mar ordered us to continue the search while he went upstairs to make calls. I couldn't follow him up. That would be dangerous for me and so I stayed with Mera and Jade.


It was now late at night and I called Logan and he asked us to meet up instead of speaking over the phone. I was skeptical about it at first but I had no other choice not to obey him.

I excuse myself from the rest.

"I need to get some food and a change of clothes," I said

Jade and Mera just nodded in response. They too were exhausted and I could see the worries in their eyes.


I drove down to meet Logan at the headquarters. It was late and no one was around aside from Logan. I took the elevator and went up to meet him in his office.


"What is the news you have on them?" He asked the moment he saw me.


"Arya is missing and we have been searching all over the city for her"

"That is great news. This is an opportunity to find her"

Logan picked up his phone and made a call across to his team.

"His woman is missing, make sure you find her before he does," he said

And then ended the call and turned to face me.


"Keep your ears to the ground for more of this"

And then he brought out a stack of cash from his drawers and handed it over to me.

"Good job"

"Thank you"

"You may leave now before someone sees you here."

I stood up and left his office. I walked through the hallway and then got to the elevator. I opened it and entered and then pressed the one button and then it took me to the first floor and then it opened.


I walked to the edge of the building when someone stopped me.

"What are you doing here?" the man asked


"And how is that your business?"


"So it's been you all along? You are the mole"


I was shocked. This man was working with Mar if I am not mistaken. He had a gun by the side of his trousers and so I aimed for it.

I knew Mar was smart and would find out about the mole soon but I was not going to let that happen. I needed to end this man before he got to Mar.

I pushed him down without any notice and pulled out the gun and then got him right on the chest.


I picked up my phone and called Logan.

"Someone working for you saw me?"

"Fuck. where the hell are you?"


"Standing right over his body. Outside the building "

"I'll be down in the next few a minutes"

Logan came down and met me. He recognized the man.

"Caspian" he called

"He knows about me and I think he is working with Mar."


"I don't think so, Caspian is one of my trusted staff and would not do that to this organization"


"Well, he is... I checked if he had a phone on him and when I did. I saw his call log. He speaks to Mar frequently"

"Did you find anything?

"No.... he doesn't have any messages or emails on the phone"


"Which means Mar knows about you?"


"I don't think he does. At least not yet. But I'm sure this man was going to tell him if I wasn't fast enough. I do not think he knows I'm the mole yet"

"You have to be very careful now. Tread with caution"

"Yes sir"


"Dispose of him immediately" he ordered and left.

I looked around to be sure no one was watching me and then carried the body and dumped it in the bin. Then I left.
