Chapter Fifty Six

Jade and Mera are left-leaning just me and my baby.

"What would you like us to do?" He asked

"Nothing really. I just want you to hold me for as long as you can"


"I want to... let's watch a movie while I hold you close," Mar said with a smile on his handsome face.

He was such a fine man. Seeing his perfect smile stirred some emotions in me. I wanted to see it all the time.

He put on a movie and we sat on the couch and began watching the movie. Some how along the line I slept off.

And I began to see Isla.


I found myself inside the water and there was Isla.

"Kiani... Kiani" she called out.

"The time is now"

"The time for what?" I asked

"Time to know your true origin"


I was not scared of the dream anymore I knew what it meant. Isla kept appearing to me just to remind me and all I did this morning was in a haste. I wanted to stay in bed with him but I had to see her. 


I stood up and realized that Mar had already taken me up to the room. He was asleep and I didn't want to wake him up. I gently laid back on his chest and sleep consumed me again.

I woke up to see Mar dressed up already.

"Good morning baby"

"Good morning love"

He bent towards me to give me a peck on my cheeks.

"I have an early meeting, Jade will take you anywhere you want  to be at and if there is any problem didn't fail to call me"

"I won't fail to call you baby. I love you"


"I love you too"


And we had he kissed me with his full and soft lips slowly at least at first. I liked that he was taking his time and I was already turned in by his first touch, I was feeling moist in between my legs. Mar knew exactly how to make me hot for him. He moved a strand of my hair from my face and then held me by my shoulders while his fingertips caressed my bare skin. My lips parted, not from pressure from his tongue, but from shock at the overwhelming sensations in my body. His tongue eagerly accepted my invitation and slid into my mouth.

We kissed for a long time. Our tongues moved together, swirling and probing, and he pulled me closer as we explored each other's mouths. He tasted like so sweat.  I wanted this to last longer than Theo but to had to go. I had to meet up with Isla today. Kuja was a journey and so I had to leave on time, so I will get there early.

Mar had already told Jade he would be accompanying me. I had my doubts about letting Jade go with me but Mar's constant reminder that I needed to be safely kept ringing in my ears.

Going with Jade would make mar comfortable and happy, so I went with that option.

Then I joined an already waiting Jade in the car. I entered the car and then we drove off.


When we got to Kuja, I got down from the car and went in to see Isla. But before I did that I had a little talk with Jade. I saw the confusion on his face.


"What is this place?" He asked


"I'm not asking you to lie to Mar but what I'm asking is for you to give me the opportunity to tell him myself"


"I will respect that. But does he know you are coming to Kuja?.. this place is really far and I hear it is a fetish place"


"Well Mar doesn't know anything about this so please promise me to keep it between us."


"Okay"

"I'll go in now....."


Then I went inside and met Isla seating like she had been waiting for me. She was holding a transparent globe in both hands.

"You were supposed to be the one," She said


"Which one?"


"The dead one but your friend took your place"


I almost fell to the ground Laurie died because of me. That was worse to know.


"Who are the killers? Why have I don't to the people who want me dead?"

"It is time ... it is time" Isla chanted

"But before I show you something I'll like to tell a short story." She added


"Come and have a seat". She said and showed me to sit and I sat down.


Throwback

Yara came to life through Noxus and Rubinia. They were her parents.
They had her as their only child and took care of her. They meant the world to her as much as she meant the world to them.


Noxus and Rubinia lived for years as couples and yet no child. It was unlike the siren race for a siren to be unable to conceive. The sirens were very fertile and productive. There were side talks from different people.

They had met with the sea witch on several occasions for their problem but were sent back after being told the time was not near.
And then Rubinia took in and gave birth to a girl which they named Yara.
She was betrothed to the prince at birth. And king Ixtal made sure that their family never lacked anything.

Yara was adventurous, just at three she was would swim out of the house without any guardian. And that was when I met her. We became inseparable. She was there for me when I lost my parents and we shared every secret.

Yara told me about how she wanted to go to the land and explore it. But I never shared any interest in that line of trust. I have always adored my life in the water even though it was lonely sometimes.

When we became teenagers, Yara was admired by everyone including me. I would brag about her to anyone who cared to listen. She would never see me get hurt and sit back. My fight was hers.

When I had my first crush on Thoosa, she made things easier for me by convincing him about me. I and thoosa got into a short relationship that gave me heartache and she was still there to console me.

I loved Yara like my own sister and I was forever indebted to her.

Yara had everything she wanted including the favor of the royal families. But as Yara grew up and understood what life was she hated the idea of being betrothed to the prince.


Prince maithusa was arrogant and crude. He had no value for other people's privacy and space. Yara hated his guts and they didn't see eye to eye.


He would always other his subjects like trash. And when his father died he took over as the king of Aidon. And his arrogance grew worse.

Maithusa made the life of all the sirens difficult. He made them pay for unnecessary taxes but only Yara's family was exempted but that didn't make Yara hate him any lesser.

Yara insisted on so many occasions that she would never marry the king but her parents especially her father insisted that it will be so.



Isla stopped talking.

"What do I need this information for? Who is Yara? and the other people you mentioned"


"You are a too impatient woman. You will know who these people are after I've shown you this"

She held the globe about her head. And she began to chant


"Yem the minari gi bu teh " she chanted

And she kept repeating those words and she shouted


"Come"


And then I went closer to her. She held my hands down and then put the transparent globe in my palm.


"Do you want to know who you are and why all those people are after you?" She asked

"Yes... I want to know who I am"

"Your knowledge of this will expose you to more dangers and you will be easily identified"


"What dangers? And who will identify me?"


"You can only find out what dangers after this. But a lot will change after you have known thsi"

I didn't care if any other thing. I wanted to know who I am. I have lived for so long hoping to find out who and where I came from.

It was so unfair to me to be raised by a stranger when my parents were out there living their lives. I didn't need to think this through. I had made up my mind a long time ago and there was no going back.


"I am ready. I am ready for this"


Isla enchanted some inaudible words round and I could see the light and then I saw a woman with tails. A mermaid.


"You will be her to understand better" Isla said pointing at the woman I saw and I felt my body lighten. And then I took another form. And then I found myself in a different form. I had a tail and I was in the water.
