Chapter One hundred and Fourteen

It had been days since I was brought here. I was barely given anything to eat and when I was given it, it was rubbish.

I felt so weak and I was in pain. The ropes used in tying me up were digging into my skin.
At this point, I lost any hope of Mar coming to get me. I had several dreams of me taken to the water and being killed but I hoped it was only going to be a dream but the longer I stayed in this empty hall, o began to accept my fate.

The door to the door suddenly opened, I had no energy to look up and see who it was.

I felt people holding me by my hands and dragging my legs on the floor. The continuous friction between my legs and the ground hurt so much but all my cries were in vain. I was dragged out of the hall and dropped at Logan's feet. He kicked me by my side and I felt the pain worse.


He walked around me the first time and then paused and bent down to look at me properly. I could see the mocking look he had on his face and then he burst into laughter. He stood up and then placed his legs on me and pressed them harder. That hurt and it made me shout a little.

"Your man is a failure. He had failed again" Logan said

I couldn't talk because of how weak I was so I just laid there and listened to him. I tried to look around and I saw Dole.

He kept giving me weird signals that I couldn't understand and so I took my head away.

"Since you have been unable to make me happy in bed, I need some more money in my bank account. You don't have a choice this time"

"Get me the knife" Logan shouted

One of his men came forward with a sharp blade, the sun reflected in it and I could see how clean and sharp it was. They placed me on a long-form.

"Boss. I hear some noises at the gate" Dole said

Logan looked at him.

"That's why you are employed here. If you are hearing noises you take some men and go to check" he shouted and dole left with two other men.

And then next thing o could hear the loud alarm. It was ringing so loud that even Logan had to close his ears.

"Watch her," he said and left to find out what the problem was I guess.

Then I started hearing gunshots and all the men fell flat on their bellies but the shooting didn't stop. It continued and this time it was even more. My feet were still bound and my hands were tied to the form.

Then I felt someone loosening the ropes, and then a sack was used to cover my eyes. My heart was beating fast.

"Who are you?"

"Where are you taking me to?"

I asked but there was still no response.

I felt them lifting me off the ground, I was too weak to walk. They carried me and out put me in a car. I was more uncomfortable now.

"Where are you taking me to?" I asked again

"Home" I heard a voice say

That didn't sound like Mar or maybe he sent someone to rescue me since he was still angry at me. I was curious to know
I mustered all courage and spoke again.

"Where is home?"

"You will find out soon"

I became so uncomfortable, the Mar I know won't send anybody to rescue me. He would either come himself or not come at all.

Then the car stopped and I was bright down from the water and the cool breeze almost pushed me down.


Then the sack was taken away from my head. I turned to look at the people who had saved me but I did not recognize any of them at first.

They all had their hoods on them I looked a little closer and that was when I remembered.

The man holding me was one of the ones that almost kidnapped me some time back.

That was when I realized how much of a danger I was in. I began to pull my hands away from his but he held me.

"Let me be... let me go," I said

"King Maithusa has waited for this moment for a very long time and now he was about to have his heart desires," the man said


"Who is ....." then I remembered king maithusa was my mother's betrothed and Isla had told me he was still searching for me.
I didn't want to go back into the water, and I didn't want to be a siren.

"Let me go" I continued to shout but they did not listen.

They dragged me to the sea, I tied to use the little strength I had to pull them back but it was not enough.

My legs were too weak to stand firm and so when they pulled me I followed.

When we got so close to the water.

They all took off their clothes. And I hid my face. I didn't want to see them naked. They placed me in the middle and then formed a circle. They moved around me and then they started chanting some strange words.


"Let me go" I continued to cry but it fell on deaf ears. They continued their chants.

One of them came to stand right in front of me and he was holding a portion to me.
He said some things, it wasn't in English but I understood him perfectly. And I wondered how.

He was telling me to drink the potion he was giving me.

"I'm not taking that," I said and moved my head in disagreement

"Hold her" he shouted and said the others came to hold me while he tried to forge the liquid down my throat. But I had my lips together tightly.

They tried their best to put it into my mouth but I was not letting it happen. And then gunshots started again. Some of them fell flat on the floor while the ones who were quick enough began shooting back.

I noticed some people coming over and I saw him. Mar.  I could tell it was him from a million miles away. He kept shooting and they fell one after the other.

The one remaining held a gun to my head as Mar got closer.

"Let her go," he said

"I'd kill her if you come closer"

I still remembered how to save myself in times like this and so I used the back of my legs and hit him on his dick and then his grip on me was off and then I ran to meet Mar but unfortunately, he shot at me before mar shot back.

I stopped but before o got to the ground Mar was already by my side to catch me. And I fell right into his hands.

"Stay with me Arya," he said

"Please forgive me," I said

"I have forgiven you and I want you back. Please don't give up" he shouted as he kept patting me on my cheeks but I was beginning to feel numb and soon everything went blank.

And then I saw my mother. She called out to me
"Kiani"

"Mother" I shouted as I ran to her and she pulled me into her embrace. She was in her true form but I was still human.

She was so beautiful and I was just a replica of her. We had similar features.

"You are so beautiful my child," she said as tears ran down her cheeks.

"I missed you so much my dear Kiani," she said

"I have always dreamt of meeting you"

"I have prayed too that I would have you this close to me and I am grateful to isla for making it possible," she said

isla made it possible and I should be thankful to her as well.

"My father. I do not know him yet. I would want to meet him"

"Your father isn't part of us here. Come and meet your grandparents" she said

And I went with her. They were beautiful as well. They welcomed me like they had been waiting for me for a long time.

Mama took me around showing me places. But I wasn't okay. I had asked about my father and she didn't give me any answers.

I held her and stopped her from moving further.

"Mother"

"Yes my baby Kiani" she answered

"I asked before but you didn't give me any answer"

"What was your question?" She asked

"About my father. Where is he?"

"Your father is not here, he is human"

"I know that. I just want to know where I can find him"

"When you meet him. You will know him"

Then we continued to move around. It was an amazing feeling with my mother.
