Chapter Fifty One
I woke up feeling a solid surface under my head and then I woke up to find Mar fast asleep.
I remembered the last thing that happened. He had taken me up to his room that was how I got here.
"What was I thinking jumping into the pool when I knew I didn't know how to swim"
I gave him a hard tap on his chest. My intention was to wake him up. To explain what the problem was. Why does he want to kill Jade?
Mary woke up and the first thing he asked was
"How are you feeling?"
"Why did I sleep for so long? What happened to me? You almost killed Jade why?"
"One question at a time baby... I gave you some sleeping meds after I brought you to the room. You were having a fever"
"What were you thinking jumping into the water when you cannot swim?"
"I wanted to stop you from killing Jade. You were almost doing that"
"Well, I thought he betrayed me."
"How could you think such? Jade is one person I know that would willingly give his life up for you"
Mar explained to me and I understood him perfectly. It hurts when someone whom you thought good of betrays you and that was how I felt when Vale did what he did.
I wanted to get his mind off the whole situation but I didn't know how to go about it.

"We should go out to the beach you know," I said
"That is not a bad idea," he said

"Would you mind if I invite Laurie, Mera, and Jade? I'd have loved to invite Dole and Keith but I don't know them too well, especially Dole"
"I don't think that is a good idea"
"Why?"
"Someone is snitching on me and I don't know who it is"
"You know now that it isn't Jade, Laurie is a model and has no idea about what you guys are into and Mera is such a sweetheart and would not do any of that"
"I want to make sure that you are well protected. I don't want to put you in harm's way"
"It won't put me in harm's way. Please."
Mar agreed to let the others join us. I wanted them to join in the fun and maybe mar and I could disappear to have our alone time. I wanted to help Mera and this was an opportunity to have some time to talk to Jade.
