Chapter Ninety Three

After the hit on Mar, I knew Logan was ready to terminate Mar. It was about to get bloody and I thought of Arya. She was not safe where she was.

I tried speaking to Mar about it but he dismissed it completely. I had to do something before Logan got to Arya. She would not be able to protect herself if Logan went after her. Mar was her shield and now he had pulled back, I had to do something to save her.

Mar was just hurt but with time he would get over it and then might be too late. I drove to Gole early in the morning. I knew where she was because I had followed her the day she left the house. When I got there I noticed a man in a black polo and a red face cap walking to the back of the house. I stopped the car and followed behind him quietly.

I hid behind a flower so he would not notice me and then I saw Arya coming out of the house. I could not give her a signal immediately and so I watched her go to the back. I walked to the back carefully and I saw him holding her while she tried to pull away. I looked around and then found a stick lying around and then I picked it up and hit him on his head and he fell and I checked him, he still had a pulse and he did. I quickly tied his hands and then bound his mouth with a cloth, I tore from his shirt.

Arya was shocked to see me and I expected that.

"How did you find me?" Arya asked

"It is a long story and I can't tell you all of it out here. You are not safe here" I said

"Did Mar send you? Are you here to kill me?" she said moving backward

"No, not at all. Mar has no idea that  I am here. Let's get you inside" I tried to convince her.


And she suggested we go into the house.

She seemed so curious to find out how I got to know where she was. If I was alone or I was spying on her.

"How did you find me?" She asked again

"Would you at least offer me a seat?"

"Oh, I'm sorry. Sit down" she said and I sat down and the seat closest to me.

"So tell me. How did you know where exactly I was"

"I followed you the night you left. I felt it was not safe for you and I noticed the headquarters were trailing you as well and so they know your current location and they will keep sending people after you until they get you."

"I am a siren.....I don't know if you know that?"

"I have known for quite some time but was not so sure about it"

"Why did you not confront me or tell Mar about it?"

I was not so sure and that is why I didn't say anything. And Mar was so happy with her.

"Because I did not want to ruin what you both had. I have known Mar for ages now and I had never seen him that happy in a long time and so I did not want to stop it"

"Was that the reason you both had a fight in the pool that day?"

"Yes......I told him I suspected a siren and he felt I had betrayed him and I did but it was for his happiness. After you did what you did, I was convinced I did the right thing"

"So what do I do now?" she asked

"You will have to change your location. Leave here"

"To where? I have no money" she said

Mar had given me some money to get some stuff for myself. But I wasn't going to tell her it was for me so she didn't decline it.

"Before now Mar had given me some money to take care of anything that had to do with your security, so money is not an issue now. I just need you to agree" I lied

"Okay....... but I have to tell Jean about it"

"Whatever you intend to do, do it fast, the headquarters want you and will do anything and everything to get you"

"Thank you," Arya said

After I was done talking to Arya, I went to the back to take the integer away but he was still unconscious. I quickly went to get the car close and then making sure no one was watching I put him in the trunk of the car and drove away.

I went to the warehouse, though a part of it was burnt there was still another part that was good and so I put the man there and tied him to a pole. I got a bucket of water and poured it on him then he woke up.
The man looked around to know where he was. He tried to talk but the cloth I used in covering his mouth prevented him from doing so.

"You are far away from where anyone can find you and if you want to leave here alive you will have to cooperate with me"

I gently went over to him and pulled the cloth away from his mouth.

"Who the fuck are you?"

"You should be the one answering that question. What is your name?"

"Macron.. what do you want with me man?"

I got a chainsaw and kept it by my side.

"This machine right here will cut through you if you don't start talking"

"Who sent you to Arya?"

"Logan.. he has her in trail for a long time and he just busted her location and I was sent down there to get her"

"Logan will not rest until he gets her. She is the last rare siren on land and he needs her to prove a point to Mar." Macron said

I didn't give it a second thought, I brought out my gun and shot at him then went back to the car and drove home.

Since he didn't succeed, Logan will keep sending his men till they got her. What troubled me was how to get Arya out of there soon without anyone discovering her. Not even Mar at least for now.
