Chapter Eighty Three

Mar's Pov

It felt good having Arya back and I made sure she was guarded properly. I was much happier sleeping with her in my arms every night. But I could tell something bothered her and I had asked severally but she had refused to say anything. She was safe with me by her side, away from Logan.

I thought of ways to make her happy and I decided a little shopping for her would do. I got back from work to meet her and Mera in the sitting room.

They were both glued to the television, they didn't even notice me come in. I snuck quietly behind her and tickled her from behind and she jumped up.

"You startled me," she said and I went around to where she stood and hugged her.

"I'm sorry," I said and kissed her.

"How did your day go?" She asked

"It went well but something was missing," said.

"And what is that?"

"You," I said kissing her on the neck.

Mera cleared her throat. I had completely forgotten that I and Arya weren't alone.

"Hi Mera"

"Welcome boss"

"Thank you, Mera."

I turned back to Arya.

"I want to take you shopping"

"You don't have to do that, I still have a lot of clothes. I have some I haven't even worn before"

"It doesn't matter baby. I want you to have more. Mera can come with us" I said

Mera jumped up in excitement.

"Thank you, boss," Mera said

Arya rolled her eyes and was about to argue and then I placed my index finger on her lips to shut her up.

"I insist"

"Alright"

And then I dragged her upstairs to change into something nice.

After that, we drove off to the shopping mall. And went over to the ladies' section. And they both started checking out the dresses while I sat and watched.

We spent almost two hours at the mall and she picked what she needed. And we went back home. I dropped Mera off on my way to the house so it was just I and Arya. When we got home we went over to the bar to chill a bit.

"Would you like to go somewhere and chill"

"Where is that?"

"One of my partners invited me to an event as a way to show gratitude for accepting his partnership and I want you to go with me"

"But.."

"No buts baby.. you are my woman and I want to show you off"

She blushed at what I had said.

"I missed seeing you smile. I missed you, Arya. Why did you leave the way you did?"


She said nothing and turned her head away. I pulled her to face me.

"Talk to me"

"I left because I was scared."

"Scared of what?"

This was the second time she was repeating this.

What was making her scared?

"Scared that I would never be good enough for you," she said

"Don't say that.. you are the best thing that has ever happened to me, Arya. I couldn't function after you left. You are my life and I live for you"

I meant everything I said and even more.

"I don't want you to hate me"

"I will never hate you, Arya. I love you more than life"

And I pulled her close and kissed her. She was all I needed and I won't stop saying it.

"Go get ready. Dinner is by 7 pm"

I was finally going to meet with Mr. Erick Flinn at the charity event. I had posted him for a long time now and I felt this was the perfect time to meet with him and make it up to him, especially with Arya by my side. And of course, I got him a gift too.

It was 7 pm already and I was waiting patiently for Arya to come down. And when she did, I was blown away by her beauty. She looked breathtakingly beautiful.

The gown hugged her body like a second skin and the slit showed her perfectly shaped legs and thighs.

I wanted to run my hand through the slit as I kissed her lips. She was tempting me with her sexiness and I was getting gradually hard. I had to put myself together. We were going late already. She came down to meet me and I walked to her and pulled her close and then whispered into her ears.

"You are beautiful," I said

"Thank you and you look handsome"

"I want to take you upstairs to the room and rip your dress into two and then make love to you till morning"

"We should get going" she reminded and we left.

Jade was going to be our driver for the night and so he drove us to the venue.

We got down from the car and I led her into the hall with her hands in mine. Nothing was going to separate her from me tonight.

At this event, there were dignitaries and a lot of celebrities. Then I saw Mr. Flinn come forward. He was so happy to see me.

"I'm so glad you were able to make it," he said and I handed the gift to him.

"A little token"

"I should be the one giving tokens you saved me"

"I'm making up for not showing up earlier"

"Accepted," he said laughing

And we exchanged handshakes.

"Who is this beauty by your side?" Mr. Flinn

"Arya.. my woman," I said

"Nice to meet you, beautiful damsel," Mr. Flinn said stretching out a hand to Arya and she shook him.

"Nice to meet you too" Arya responded.

"I have seats reserved for you. Come with me"


Mr. Flinn took us to the VIP section of the hall and showed us to our seats and then we sat. After the auction and other stuff, the charity event came to an end and I must say those who had contributed did well.

I and Arya spoke with Me. Flinn briefly before living. On our way out, I met with Logan. He was the last person I wanted to see at this point.

"Little kitten has come out of hiding," he said

"Don't speak to her like that" I said trying to block her from him.

Logan began to laugh. I was fed up with this and now that I had Arya with me. It was time to make him pay
