Chapter One hundred and Sixteen

Mar's Pov

It was already five days and Arya was still in a coma. I barely left the room. I spent all day and all night by her side.

Mera and Keith came frequently to check on us and brought some food along. Mera was doing perfectly fine and she was already back to work.

I had spoken to the doctor about Dole's my and he told me she was good only that she continued to ask of her son.

I remained by Arya's side, some times I moved around the ward but never did I leave the ward.

Mera came as usual to make sure I was good and also to make sure that I ate something.

After she left, I walked around the ward after just to stretch my legs. I walked to the window to look at the view and then I heard a sound. I wasn't quite sure where it was coming from and so I ignored it completely.

The sound came again and I turned my make to check if it was coming form the room but I heard nothing, then I waved it off.

The sound came again and it was a bit louder then I turned to look at Arya and I noticed her eye lids move a bit.

I rushed over to the bed and touched her.

"Arya!" I called

And she moved her eye lids again. I called her again and this time she moved her fingers.

I rushed out of the room like a crazy person searching for the doctor or anyone who could listen to me.


"She is awake"

The nurse who he seen me first followed me back to the room to confirm what I had said.

After she checked her, I noticed a faint smile on her face but she didn't say a word to me and left the room.


I waited a while and she returned with the doctor.

He checked her for a while also. When he was done he walked over to me.

"She is out of coma now but still needs a lot of rest"

"Yes Doctor" I said nodding my head.

And he left alongside the doctor.

I went over to her and held her hand in mine as I caressed it.

She opened her eyes wider  this time.

"Mar..." she called out faintly

"Yes baby.. I'm here"


"I am sorry"

"Shhh.. this is not what you should be talking about now"


"I just want ...." I shut her up with my fingers before she completed her statement.


I knew she was not going to stop apologizing. I replaced my fingers with my lips and kissed her lightly on the lips.

"I love you Arya" I said and she smiled

I was happy that she was smiling, I had missed seeing her smile. Today had to be my best day. I quickly got my phone from the table beside the bed and called Mera. Mera picked up immediately and I was sure she was already worrying about why I was calling her.

"Hello Mar" she called

"Yes Mera, I have good news" I replied

"Share and stop killing me with suspense. Arya is awake" and she screamed

"I will be there in a jiffy" she sad and ended the call. And within a few minutes Mera showed up at the hospital. She went over and gave Arya a tight hug but I was quick to pull her away, so she does not touch any of the wires connected to Arya.

Arya smiled even harder. She did not say anything else since after the kiss. I noticed she was still looking at the door like she was expecting someone to walk into the room. Then she finally spoke after minutes of looking at the door.

"Where is Jade?"

Mera and I suddenly went cold. After she dropped the question Mera's eyes welled up in tears then she went beside Arya and sat down, then held her hands

"Jade is dead"

"No...No he can't be" Arya cried and than I went over to where they were and held both their hands in mine. And they both heard on me.

I managed to cheer them up a little and we tried to get past it. I missed Jade too but I know the guilt Arya was feeling, I felt it with Caspian and I also understood Mera. There was a huge gap, I felt it the moment my family died and when Arya was away from me.

Arya got better quickly and her wounds were close to getting healed. The doctor discharged her and we went back home. Mera had organised a welcome party for Arya and I had absolutely no idea of it, I was as shocked as Arya was when we walked in and everyone shouted

"Surprise"and came out from hiding. Keith, mother Pamela, Mera, Jean and her brothers were all in attendance. Mother Pamela rushed over to Arya and began raining kisses all over her face while I went over to Mera to thank her. I was also curious to know how she had pulled this off and contacted all these people.

"I must thank you for your efforts butt I also want to know how you reached out to all these people" I asked and she smiled

"Jade" she replied

"But...." I tried to argue before she interrupted me

"I know.....i still have his phone" she said waving it "It was easier to get Jean and she helped get mother Pamela, so it was not difficult" she said and I hugged her

"I do not say this often but I appreciate you" I said and then I went to join Arya. The party ended and I sent Keith to drop mother Pamela back at the orphanage while Keith and her brothers went back home.

I had opted to take them back but Jean declined.

"She still had some hate for me" I thought

It was remaining Mera, Arya and I at the mansion. Mera went in after cleaning everywhere while I took Arya up to my room. I assisted her in taking a shower and it was not easy especially with her being naked. I had missed her dearly.

After taking her shower, I helped her with the night wear and put her to bed and rushed off to take a shower then joined her in bed. Arya was finally where she belonged. By my side.
