Chapter One hundred and Seven
MAR'S POV
I took it upon myself to search for Arya personally. I wanted to find her before Logan did anything stupid to her
All he needed from her was her pearl and he will need to kill her fire to get it. I was still very conscious that a mole was amongst us even though I was yet to know who the actual mole was. Even though I suspected Keith, I was not so sure because I had no proof. I gather some of my stuff, picked up my car keys, and got into the car.
I wanted to keep an eye on Logan and monitor his whereabouts, I might find something that could lead me to Arya.
I drove to the headquarters, there were no changes from the last time I was here. It was still the same.
I was so familiar with how things worked there and so I knew the perfect time to watch out for him. It would have been a lot easier if Caspian was still alive he would have given me information from inside.
I will never consider working for Logan. Not in this life and not ever.
I packed my car a few meters away from the entrance of the building to avoid being noticed while I watched out for Logan. I waited for 2 hours and there was still no sign of Logan, then I called Mera and Dole to make sure they were vigilant too.
I had sent them to attend to other important things that needed attention and but I did not want to lose another person. As for Arya, I was going to find her and make her pay for all the hurt she had caused me.
"Hello Mera"
"Hello boss"
"Is everything alright over there?" I asked
"Yes boss, though some of the clients want to speak to you in person"
"Tell them I will be away for a short while," I said
"Yes boss" she replied
"What about Dole and has Keith shown up?"
"Yes, he has been around but left a few minutes ago with Keith"
"Alright, that's fine I will let you know" and then I ended the call.
Then I noticed Logan coming out of the building, he had a plaster to his neck and he was with two of his men following behind him. I watched him closely as one of the men came forward and opened the door for him, then he got in and they drove off.
I followed immediately, I drove slowly behind them so they will not notice I was following. When they got to his house, he did not drive in, instead, they brought Arya out of the gate and pushed her to the back of the car. That was not like what Logan would do normally.
Seeing her for some seconds awoke something I had been trying to suppress for a while because of anger, she looked really pale and I'm sure Logan must have made her miserable.
"Arya... I'm coming to get you. A little time" I said to myself.
They moved their car and I continued to follow them, though I was meters away from them. Then I noticed they made a stop, it was in front of a building, I stopped immediately.
Logan got down and the men carried Arya out of the car into the building. When I was sure that had all entered, I got some from that car and walked a little close to the gate.
I couldn't see the house from outside but I could see it was still a residential one.
I never knew Logan and another house. I saw the way they carried her out of the car. They were treating her like garbage and that annoyed me a lot. I wanted to go right away and teach those bastards a lesson but I was alone and they were a lot of them. They could kill me and that would give Logan so much satisfaction and I did not want that.
I had found out where Arya was and I knew she was alive, all I needed to do was go back and re-strategize on how to get her out of there.
And give Logan what he deserved. I started the car engine and drove back to the city. I got home late and I was grateful to Mera who had made dinner already. I knew how hard it was for her but she carried on like she was good.
I noticed her swollen eyes sometimes when I saw her and I knew she had been crying. Jade was a great loss to all of us but knowing how close and in love they had been I knew it was going to be so difficult. I missed Arya so much regardless and I wanted her in my arms where she belonged.
I remembered how she had cried when she lost out baby.
I felt really terrible after I said all those terrible words to her.
Jade had been there for us and I miss having him around me. He was the brother I never had.
Mera came a little closer and I saw her eyes clearly. She had been crying.
"Who is still around?"
"I was waiting for you to get back. I made dinner for you" she said
"Oh no... you should not have gone through the stress of doing that but thank you."
I elated over to her pot and dished it out and sat down to eat it. I was really hungry.
"You should join me," I said
"No.....I had mine earlier" she said.
"You have been crying. Am I right?" and she shook her head. Mera was trying to hold the tears but they failed her. The tears rolled down her eyes.
"I miss him," she said while she sobbed.
"It is okay...I miss him too" I said pulling her to me as I hugged her to calm down. She calmed down a bit and the sobbing reduced.
"I have to get going," she said
"You should stay in Jade's room if you want to," I said to her
"I will go to his house. I'm trying to arrange some of his stuff there and I feel more connected to him there" and I understood her completely.
"That's fine. Call me if you need anything" I said and she nodded her head and left.
