Chapter Thirty Five

I woke up with a bad headache. I couldn't remember what happened yesterday.

I didn't know if it was a dream but I saw Mar and we kissed. I tasted his lips and it felt like it was real. His touches felt so real.
My bikini was almost away from my body. Mar came in with a glass of water and Advil and handed them over to me.

"It will help with the hangover"

"Hangover?"

"Yeah you were pretty wasted last night"

"Hope I didn't do anything stupid?"

"You didn't... take them quickly"


I swallowed the meds and drank some water. Then he turned to leave.

"Did you bring me to my room?"


"Yes I did"


"Thank you"

"It's okay. Take a shower and join us for breakfast "
And he left. I didn't know why he was acting like he cared he was angry when I joined them to play games.

I took my shower and went down to join them. I noticed three extra people there, including Mera. She was the only face I recognized.

"Hey Arya... you left early last night"

"Was wasted a little. How are you?"

"I'm good. Let me introduce you to the rest" she said pulling me to the others.


"Hey, Guys meet Arya... Mar's guest."

The first guy, who was shot and had brown hair with brown eyes, walked over to give me a handshake.

"I'm Dole.... nice to meet you, Arya"

"Same here...." I replied as we exchanged handshakes.

The second man came and pulled me in for a hug.

"Mar has good taste... I'm Keith"

I joined them for breakfast and it was fun. After that, I excused myself and went back to my room. For some reason, it felt like Mar was avoiding me.

They were in pairs talking about some stuff I didn't understand and so I didn't want to interrupt any of them and so I went back to the room.


I stayed in the room watching tv and when I was done I searched the net for new job opportunities. I had stayed for days now without a job and I was beginning to feel useless and all. I didn't want to be a liability.


Mera came up to my room.

"I guess you are bored. We should hang out"

"I would love to but no outfits"

"I'll take care of that." She said.


Mera left my room and within 2 minutes she was back with a dress.

"This will do, so get ready"


"Are you sure I won't be intruding into anything?"


"Of course not. Consider it as a girls outing. Get ready we will be out soon"

I got them dressed and the dress hung perfectly to my body like a second skin. My hips were exposed heavily by the dress. I packed my hair up in a ponytail and applied lip gloss on my lips.


Jade dropped us at the club and then left. We went over to the bar and got some drinking and Mera left for the dance floor. She invited me over but I insisted on sitting.


Got a call from Laurie and left to pick it up because I couldn't answer it inside the bar, the loud music made that impossible.

"Hey, babe... how are you doing?"


"I'm exhausted. I've missed you so much when are you coming back?"


"Soon... my stay here was extended and so I won't be coming back this week"

"Okay.. please take care of yourself"

"I will... you too. Love you"
And she ended the call. I heard noises around and then I became scared.

"Who is that?" I asked

And Vale walked out from where he was hiding.

"You again?  Why can't you just let me be?"

"I cannot do that.. you've occupied my mind. And I can't think of anything else but you."

"You are sick Vale"

"Yes I am and it's because of you"

"I'll scream if you don't go away."

"You can't scream all you want. Your Prince Charming isn't here to save you by the way you look sexy in that dress"

Vale pushed me to the floor and ripped my clothes halfway exposing my bra. And with his left hand, he held my hand up while he began to unbuckle his belt with the other. I tried to scream but his lips covered mine.

I wriggled and tried to kick him but he didn't budge. I managed to kick him in between his legs and then his grip on me loosened, and then I tried to run away and he grabbed my legs and I lost my balance and fell.

He came over and started slapping me across my face, he became so violent that no matter how much I pleaded and cried. He suddenly stopped.


Jade had pulled him off me. Mera came over to me to cover me up and she took me away. I was bruised all over and I could feel the pain in every joint of my point.



I didn't know when we got home but I was aware when I got to my room. Mera gave me some painkillers and I slept off.


I woke up later to see a worried Mar sitting by my side. I was scared he was going to scold me for going out.

I tried to stand up but the pain in my sides stopped me. Then he noticed I was awake and turned to me. I could see how concerned he was.

"You shouldn't have gone unguided"

"I didn't. I was with Mera"

"And she will face my wrath for letting that fool touch you"

"It wasn't her fault..."


"You won't have to bother about Vale and the documents and he won't bother you again"

He said handing me the documents.

"What did you do to him?"

"Nothing... just made him promise me not to and if he did there were grave consequences"

Then I handed him the ring. I knew there was something about him and I couldn't place it. I did after I had seen the picture he had the ring on him. It was him after all.


He had a surprised look on his face and then he pulled me closer and dropped a quick kiss on my lips. He realized what he had done and tried to pull away but i held him back and we started kissing.

He pulled away at first and then when he saw I didn't move he continued kissing me and I kissed him back.
