Chapter One hundred and Twenty Two

Mar and I were still trying to recover from what had happened to her some minutes ago when Mera got back.

When she entered the sitting-room she noticed how disorganized it was and then Logan and Mr. Flinn.


"Oh my. What happened here?" She asked looking so terrified.


"Logan and Mr. Flinn attacked us" mar replied

"I thought Logan was dead and Mr. Flinn what could he be attacking you for?" She asked


"He is the boss at the headquarters" I replied and She opened her mouth in a circle. She was so surprised to hear that.


The police were informed of a break into the house and they came over. They asked me and Mar some questions.

I was scared at first that they would blame us for their deaths but they didn't. It was a self-defense situation and they had both intruded into our house.


After everything had settled down, everywhere was back to being calm and the housekeeper took care of the arrangements.


Mar took me up to the room and we both took a shower and got into the bed.


"Thank you for living me regardless of who I am," I said to him.


"You don't have to thank me fate has brought you and me together and I want it that way forever"

"I want it that way too."

"I want to end siren hunting"


"Why?"


"Because that's the right thing to do. If I continue I will continue hurting you"

I was glad of how much he thought of my feelings. I didn't want him to stop doing anything he wanted to do because he was with me, but I understood what he meant.


"That is great. But I want a job"


"I know you do but not in this town"

"Where?" I asked curiously

"We will move out of this town and go somewhere else and start afresh."

They didn't sound like a bad idea to me but I had to tell Mother Pamela.

"That is amazing," I said with a frown on my face.

"Why is your face like that? Don't you like the idea?" He asked looking so concerned.

"I want to visit Laurie's and Jade's graveside and tell them farewell".

"That can be arranged. Okay"


And I hugged him so tight. He has given me a lot of reasons to be happy and I loved him dearly for that.

And then he placed my head on his chest and sleet took me away.


The next couple of days came and went in a flash.

Mar, Mera, Keith and I went to the graveyard and we went with a lot of flowers. We intended to go to every loved one's grave and wish them farewell.

We first went to his mother and sister's graveside.

Mar held out his hand to me to come over and I did.

"Hello mama and Lourdes, I have finally met the woman that makes my head spin like you both always teased. I came to show her to you both. We will be getting married soon and I love her so much" mar said and there was a soft breeze that came after he finished his speech.


"They love you. That was a sign" he said and then we both dropped flowers for each of them.

Then we went over to Laurie and I could not hold my tears back. I missed her so much. Thinking of all the times that we shared together, the times She came through for me, and now she was no longer around to share in my joyful and sad moments.


"Bestie, I miss you so much and I'll give anything to have you back. Mar and I will be getting married soon and if you were here today, you would have been my maid of honor. Knowing you was a blessing and I'll always have you in my beard because you are my family" the sobs didn't let me continue and so Mar pulled me into a hug and consoled me. We

We dropped flowers and then we moved to Jade's. I knew Mera and Jade were an item and so I left her to speak.

She went down and placed a kiss on the grave and said "I love you" then she dropped her flower.


"I thank you Jade for saving my Arya. I will always be grateful to you." Jade said and we dropped flowers.

Then we move to the last one. Mar's friend

He held the flower and placed it on the grave.

"I am finally a happy man. Watch over me"
After we were down we got into the car.

Mar gave me a light pat on the arm.

"I've been thinking of late about the orphanage"

"The orphanage? Why?"

"It's in a bad condition and I'll love to help and make it better, but I wanted to take permission from you first"

He had no idea how long I have longed for a change there. Especially to help mother Pamela.

I pulled his head closer and kissed him.

"Yes. I love it. I love the idea" I said in excitement.
Only Mar could make me this happy and I was glad that he did that all the time.

He smiled and started the car. I couldn't tell Mother Pamela about it.


The next day mar and I went to visit the orphanage. And when we got in, ma'am Gina saw us first and there was a surprised look on her face but I paid her no attention.

I didn't care anymore if she loved me or not, I was getting a lot of love, care, and attention now.

I didn't say a word to her. I just walked past her to see mother Pamela with mar behind me.

The moment she saw me. I hugged her so tight and she hugged me too.

"My dear Arie. You look so well and I'm glad that you are" She said

"You look well yourself," I said to her.

Mother Pamela led us to the small garden where we could seat. And we sat down.

I had come to tell her about our wedding and our relocation and she already had a heavy face on.

"I promise to keep in touch with you always," I said


"Why don't you come along with us. You can be the nanny to all our kids. Take care of them the way you took care of their mother" Mar said

I had not even thought about it.
Mother Pamela shook her head in disagreement.

"I cater for these children and if I leave they'll go hungry"

"That's about to change," Mar said

He looked at me for permission to go ahead and I gave it to him.

"I want to take care of everything that concerns the orphanage from today. Renovate it and put it in new facilities then employ people who will take care of them. You can come here to check on them anytime you want" he explained

She seemed impressed by it.

"I'll give it a hard thought". She said

After spending some time with mother Pamela we went back to the city.

We got home late at night and so we just went in had a shower and went to bed.
