Chapter One hundred and Twelve

Dole Pov

I quickly went home and got some personal stuff. I knew I won't be going home because it would be too risky.  It was safer for me at Mar's place. The only problem I had was my mother. Logan could come at any time.

I didn't want to offend Logan and at the same time, I didn't want Logan to hurt Mar. he had shown me how kind and good he was and I didn't take his help for granted.

When I got to the mansion, I rang the doorbell but there was no response. I tried calling him and yet no response and so I tried going in through the kitchen.

That was the only accessible path to the main house that was open.

Mar was lost in a couple of papers on his table. I guessed he was trying to figure out his next move.

He was shocked to see me.

"How did you...?"

"The kitchen door..it was open and I tried the doorbell severally and there was no response"

"Sorry about that I was lost here"

"Trying to find Arya?"

"Not really. I know where she is..."

"You do?" I asked not that I was surprised he would find out but he was really quick.

"Yes, I do. Ever since Jade died I had been trailing Logan and I know where he kept Arya"

"Then let's go..." I said

Mar pulled me back and drew me to the seat and then sat. That was when I had a full view of what he was looking at.

It was a plan showing the house where Logan kept Arya.

"How did he get it?" I thought

I then decided to ask him because I was scared he already knew what I had done and was just playing along.

"Where did you get this?"

"I got it from an old friend and I used to work with Logan before"

I had heard that before and I was not so familiar with why he left the headquarters.

"Would you mind telling me?" I asked

"I wish I could but there is really no time," he said and he explained what the plan was and I agreed.

I had my own plans in my mind though. I wanted to help him but Logan was going to kill my mother and I didn't want that. I had to save my family first.

I excused myself and then brought out my phone from my pocket and called Logan.

"Hello boss"

"Do you have any meaningful information?" He asked

"Yes, I do."

"Speak up"

"I'm coming with Mar to the location"

"When?" He asked

"In the next 30 minutes, we are getting ready to leave his house"

"That's perfect... Make sure you act smart" Logan said and ended the call.

The thought of betraying Mar again after what he had done for me made me feel really guilty but I had to do what I had to save my mother. Mar would have done the same if he were to be in my shoes.

I went back to join him and he was still looking at the plan. And then he got dressed and ready and then left for the location.

When we got to the gate. He paused for a while and then he turned to me.

"You will take me to him and offer me to him. That's the only way we can gain entrance" he said

To me, that was giving up the chase with no fight at all. Logan will kill him if he sees him. Of only he knew.

"That is not the right thing to do," I said

"Do you have any other option?"  He asked and I kept mute.

Giving my opinion would only give me out as the mole and so I kept quiet.

After waiting for a few minutes he tapped me and said

"Hit me"

"I can't do that" o said

"I'm not asking you to do it, I'm ordering you to do it."

Then I lifted my fist and hit him on the cheek and he staggered a few steps back but still stood his ground.

"That is not hard enough," he said

And then I hit him again.

"If you want this to look real you should make it look like you beat me up to a pulp"

And then he gave me the go-ahead and I started hitting him, I gave him a hard blow to his abdomen and then I noticed the boos coming out of his mouth.

I kept hitting him till he was on the floor, then I stopped.
His face was already covered up in the blood and I could see the cuts on his lips as well.

"It's time," he said

Then I carried him while he pretended to be knocked out.

I got to the gate and touched the alarm and in a few seconds, one of his men came over to open it.

The moment he saw Mar he let us in. I carried him to where I was directed that Logan would be and dropped him on the floor close to Logan's feet.

"I brought him myself," I said and Logan grinned.

Logan stood up and walked to where Mar was. He pushed him over with his legs.

"Your boss is a pussy. A big one and here he is now at my mercy"

Then Mar flipped Logan over with his hands and brought out his gun hidden in his pants.

Then all of Logan's men showed up with their guns pointing at him. He was expecting me to do something but I moved back.

Then Logan laughed and stood up. He walked up to me and gave me a pat on my shoulder.

"Good job. Good job. You made the fool believe he had a plan" he said and began laughing again.

I could see the look on Mar's face, he had just realized that he had been played.

"You have been the mole all this while?" Mar asked

"Yes, he has. I made him tell me your every move and your Arya. He told me everything"

I bent my head in shame as Logan revealed everything to him. I saw the hate in his eyes. He didn't hide it.

"I'd have loved to kill you right here and right now but I won't make your death easy," Logan said

Mar kept his head down without saying a word.

"Lock him up," Logan ordered and his men took him away.

Then he turned to me.

"You have made me happy and now that you no longer have a boss. I'd want you to work for me" he said

I was not foolish to decline and so I accepted.

"You are smart and you make the right decisions," he said and then walked out leaving me all by myself.

All I could think of was how betrayed Mar felt. I had to do something quickly.

I watched how the events of things had been throughout the day. They guarded the room where Arya was heavily and where Mar was kept. Just one guard standing there.

I had a plan. I waited till it was late then I went to get drinks. Mar had given me some money at the hospital after paying for the bills.

I got a lot of drinks and brought them to the location and invited everyone for a mini party to welcome me properly to the headquarters and I was actually taken Caspian's position. That was huge.

None of them agreed to leave their positions and so I went to each of them and handed them those bottles.
They appreciated it more.

In seconds they were all snoring. I rushed to where Arya was kept and the door was secured with a very strong password. If I tried it and the password was wrong then I would cause the alarm to ring out loud.

Then I rushed to Mar's door, it was not as guarded as the other one. It was not difficult to get the key from the pocket of one of the guard.
I opened the door and rushed in.

Mar's Pov

I still felt the betrayal. It had been Dole all along and I was thinking Keith was the problem.

I just remained there and the words of that blind old woman kept ringing in my head. The time was going and here I was tied up.

Then I heard the door open and Dole came in.

"What do you want here?" I said with so much anger

"I'm here to help you.."

"Or you want to betray me again?"

"I understand you are angry but if you want to save Arya you have to let me do this"

I stayed calm and he loosened the rope on my legs and hands and then we came out of the room.

The alarm had started ringing.

"This is not good. You have to leave now" Dole shouted

"I can't not without Arya," I said

"You can't get her now but if you leave you will," he said

I was reluctant and I went door by door knocking, then he pulled me out and pushed me out completely.
