Chapter Sixty Five

Mar's Pov

Arya slept off and so I took her up to the room. She was so beautiful while she slept. I had an early meeting at the office and I had to get up very early. I tried my best not to wake Arya up from sleep.

I was dressed already when Arya woke up.

"Good morning baby"

"Good morning love"

I bent towards her to give her a peck on her cheeks.

"I have an early meeting, Jade will take you anywhere you want  to be at and if there is any problem didn't fail to call me"

"I won't fail to call you baby. I love you"


"I love you too"


And we kissed her on her lips and she tasted really nice. I took my time as I devoured her lips gently, I could feel my pants get tight from my growing erection.

I wanted to open her legs wide and make love to her this morning. She was not making it easier with the way she was holding me down. I moved a strand of her hair away from her face and then held me by her shoulders while my fingertips caressed her bare skin. Her lips parted, as I made love to her tongue and lips with mine. I accepted her invitation and slid into her mouth and kissed her silly.

We kissed for a long time. Our tongues moved together, swirling and probing, and I pulled her closer as we explored each other's mouths. Her taste was registered on my buds never to be forgotten.  At this point, I wanted to be deep inside of her but I had a meeting to meet up with and so I slowly brought the kiss to an end.


I had already informed Jade he would be accompanying Arya wherever she wanted to go. I wanted her to be safe and I trusted Jade for that. 

Ever since I got the news that the headquarters knew about her, I had ensured she was properly guarded and watched at all times.


I had just gone downstairs to speak with Jade when Arya came down. She was dressed already and that shocked me.

"Are you ready?" I asked


"Yes"

"Wow... why the rush?"

"I have to be quick, I don't know when to get late," she said

They got into the car and they drove off.


After Arya and Jade left, I got into the car and drove to the office. I was getting calls already from the office.


I called Mera on my way there and when I got to the office she was there already.

"What about Keith and Dole haven't seen them in a while," I asked her.

"I have only seen Dole and that was this morning, Keith on the other hand I haven't seen him in some days"

"Do you have any idea where we can find him?"

"No... I don't and the worst part is his line has not been reachable"


I frowned, that was something to worry about. I have always had a little distrust for Keith and his actions and distance of late were getting really suspicious.

"Clear my schedule and try to reach Keith again"


I took the elevator to the conference room. I had a meeting with the Latitude group of companies. They were almost facing bankruptcy and needed an intervention. They were going to do a presentation convincing me of the benefits of partnering with them.

To be honest, I didn't see the need to join them in a partnership. I had a lot of business that needed my attention fully.

Being a siren hunter was tasking enough, but in all honesty, it did bring a lot of money. The pearls they came with were worth a fortune.

I just had sympathy for the owner of the company Mr. Erick Flinn. He has always been a friend to the family. And the workers who would become jobless if I don't intervene.

I listened to their pitches and I was not really impressed with them, but I had to buy it, to help Mr. Erick.


"Your pitches were amazing, but not convincing enough but my relationship with Mr. Erick over the years has been pleasant and it would be unfair for me to ignore him at a time like this and so I have come to a conclusion that I would partner with you and save the company".

And I heard their applause and we exchanged handshakes with each of them. I signed a couple of documents they had brought and then exited the conference room. I had my mind on Arya all along.

I picked up my phone and called hers but it wasn't going through and so I called Jade.

He picked up on the first ring.

"Hello Mar" Jade answered

"Where is Arya?"

"She is inside the house. She asked me to wait out for her"


"Keep an eye on her and make sure no harm comes to her"

"Yes, boss. I'm guarding the area" he answered.

I trusted Jade to look after her properly. He was good at doing right.

"Keep a close eye, Jade. Do not let anything go wrong" I hung up and then turned to my desk.

There were a lot of documents to be looked at and so I called Mera in to do that. While I spoke to other clients on the phone.

Mr. Erick Flinn called to thank me for accepting the partnership and we agreed to do dinner sometime later.


I had a stressful day at work, there were a lot of calls to be answered and documents to be signed.

While I expected a call from Jade to assure me Arya was good.

I got home feeling exhausted. It was my first time working directly with her and I must say it was great. She was efficient and reliable.

I saw Dole waiting while I got in.


"Where is Keith?" I asked him

"I have not seen him in a while. I was expecting to see him when I get here"

I did not want to ask any of them to trail Keith. It would bring distrust to the group.


I was going to trail Keith myself and find out what he has been up to and confirm if he was the mole in the group.

I retired to my home office. I got some emails from Caspian. I went through them and they contained the activities of the headquarters. And I was on their trail and Arya too.


I was enraged by this. I had to find the mole quickly and then send a message back to the headquarters. They were messing with the wrong person and so was going to teach Logan a lesson.


I was just thinking of calling Jade when I entered the house.


"I was just about to call you again"


"Where is Arya?"

"I couldn't find her.. she left"


"What do you mean by, she left?" I was getting pissed at this point.

"I searched for her around but couldn't find her"

"What do you mean you can't find her?"

"She went into a house and asked me to wait for her and when I went there I could not find her."

"And who did you find inside there?"

"No one. It was empty."

"Find her right away" I shouted

I joined him in the car and we drove back to where he came from but couldn't find anyone.

I became so restless. I was not about to lose her too. I tried her number but she was not picking up.

"I was going to kill anyone who dares to harm her," I said to myself.

I went back home to make some calls while Jade went to join Mera and Keith to continue searching for her.

I had to call Mera and Dole to start a search for her as well.

"Where could she have gone to?"


I didn't think she was safe, knowing what the headquarters were planning. I quickly grabbed my phone and called Caspian.

He picked up immediately.

"Hey Caspian"

"What's up, man?"


"The mole you mentioned.... Did you hear anything about them taking my woman?"

"No. They are still trying to track you down. No talk of taking your woman yet though they have plans on doing so."

"Why are you asking?"

"My woman is missing"

Jade took her out and she met with some seer or so but she never returned.

"And you trust Jade?"

"What if he had something to do with it?"

"Jade would never....."


"I told you not to trust anybody. Someone from your group is giving out information to Logan"

"Fuck!!"

"I will make inquiries and find out if they took her. Calm down"

"I'll be waiting for your call"


"I'll get back to you as soon as I can." And he hung up.

My phone rang and I checked it. It was Caspian again. I picked it up.

"Any news?"


"They haven't picked anyone. She isn't with them"

"Thank you" and the call went off.

I smashed my phone on the wall, I was feeling frustrated.

I buried my face in my hands, I felt the urge to cry.

"What have I done?" I asked myself

The door opened and the guys stepped in and I stood up immediately to meet them.

"Any news?"

"No" they answered sadly

I was going to lose my fucking mind if I didn't find her. She was my life and everything. And I was going to find her because I couldn't live without her.
