Chapter Twenty Five

Everything that happened last night was a clear evidence that more trouble was on its way.


I had to get a grip on myself, I needed to stand up for myself. Looking for a solution was what I was suppose to concentrate on. But for now I needed to avoid vale.


I got to the office a little bit late and Rosie was really worried.

"You have never come late to work before, so permit me to ask of everything is okay with you?"

"I'm just a little bit under the weather that all"

"You should go home and get some rest or is really a bad idea to be here"

"I can't just go back home. I do not want any trouble with the boss"

"Come on, okay I'll cover up for you. Trust me"

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. You need a lot of rest so go home before you break down completely and make sure you get some meds on your way home"

"Thank you Rosie"

I quickly packed up and went home. I hadn't seen Laurie in three days so I've been at home all by myself.

We were supposed to meet the day vale hit me and since then I haven't seen her. She only called me to tell me she wouldn't be coming home.


Laurie'w modeling career had just kick started. She was already getting little gigs here and there, that's one of the major reasons she hasn't been at a place and I didn't want to bother her with my problems. She had done enough for me already.

I went straight to my bed and laid down, then I heard a noise. It was coming from the kitchen. I sat up on the bed and shouted

"Who is there?"


"Hello"

There was no response and so I ignored it.
I laid back on the bed and the noise came again this time even louder and so I stood up immediately to check who it was.

Vale was standing right in feint of me. He had been the one making the noise in the kitchen.

"What are you doing here?"


And he laughed out loud.


"I ask you again what are you doing here?" I shouted this time


"I am here to take my pound of flesh"


"Leave before I call the cops on you"

"That's impossible... Arya we could make this a whole lot easier if only you'd cooperate with me"

"What do you want?"

"I want you. Can't you see how crazy I am about you?"

"Stop being delusional. Let me be"

I couldn't recognize the man standing before me. This was a monster and he was going to harm me if I wasn't smart enough.

"You will do as I say"

"And why is that?"

"Because I own you."

"No you do not. You do not own me Vale. You are just a manager but you are fired form hence forth"


Vale laughed again and I could hear the mockery in his laughter. He handed some documents over to me.

"Open it and go to the 5th page on the second paragraph " he shouted

I was trembling already. I was able to open to the page and i read through.

Party A owns 70 percent of all the proceedings in this agreement while party B takes the remaining 20 percent.


"Read the next paragraph" he ordered


Party A is the only one capable of ending this contract. And my signature was boldly on it.

"No I did not sign this. I didn't sign this. I'm going to meet the manager, this is a mistake"

"Manager?.. I am the manager wait the owner of the bar and from hence forth you will work for me fully"


"What do you want Vale?" I asked as tears rolled down my cheeks.

"Whatever I want I'll take. Now get dressed and meet me outside. You have a private listening to do"

"But ..."

He cut me short before I could finish my sentence.

"No buts. Just do as I say"


I had been deceived all this while, he had owned the bar and I just realize I'd been making money for him all these while. He had been using me. He was a wicked person and he would rot this.


I obeyed his orders and followed him for the private listening. And he was the one who was going to listen to me sing.

He took me to a room filled with red light. There was just one seated and I guess he was going to seat down there while I stood in front of him.


"This is not fair"


"I'll decide what is and what isn't now sing"

I began to sing and I sang from the broken part of my heart and while I did he was just glaring at me. After I was done he came to where I stood and pulled me closer to him with his hand, there was no space between us.


"Please let me go."

He pressed his lips on mine and tried to force me to open it but when I didn't he bit me in my lips and that caused me to bleed. Then he left me.

"Cooperate with me and I'll be gentle"


"Never. You are a monster"


And then he clicked his fingers together and two men came in and dragged me out of the room and took me to get another. They threw me in and locked the door.


I banged on the door continuously.


"Let me out of here you monster"

I kept shouting and banging on the door but there was no response. I continued to hit on the door, I didn't know when got so tired and drifted off to sleep.



I woke up to find myself in the same miserable spot I was in before I slept off. I was even more angry at myself at how I had allowed myself to fall into the hands of an abuser and trafficker.

He was using me to make money for himself and he had pretended to get his plan in motion. Laurie would be worried if she gets home and doesn't find me.

"Let me go" I shouted while hitting the four but I was ignored still.
