Chapter Ninety Seven
Dole's Pov
I joined him in the car, the smoke coming from his cigarette almost got me choking.
"You are still a pussy, here take this" Logan handed me the cigarette but I declined. I have never liked smoking for a day. I knew of its dangers and I didn't want to end up in the hospital.
"What do you have for me?" Logan asked
"Mar wants to go on a vacation," I said and that got Logan laughing
"He can't stand me anymore that is why he is running away," he said
"I think so too. I think he is now weak because he has fallen in love"
"Why do you say so?" Logan asked
"The siren" Logan placed his full attention on me
"The siren? Do you know where it is now?"
"Yes I do and I know who it is"
"What do you mean?"
"Arya is the siren and Mar does not want to kill her"
"I told you he was a pussy and is scared of me"
"Go back and monitor his movement and I will tell you what to do next," Logan said and then he gave me some money.
I left for the hospital immediately. I met with the doctor.
"Good day doctor"
"Good day.....how are you?" He asked
"I am very well" I answered
"I have good news and bad news for you," the doctor said
"Start with the good one first," I said
"Your mother is awake," he said and I squealed in excitement " and the bad news, the hospital has increased the money for her dialysis"
They kept doing that and each time that happened, I could not afford it
"Please can you speak on my behalf " I pleaded with him
"I tried doing that but I had no backup and my request was declined" I quickly put my hand in my pocket and brought out the money Logan had just given me.
"Here take this, add it to the money. I will get more" he looked at the money and shook his head.
"This is still not enough. I advise you to go and get the money fast" the doctor said and walked away. I felt really miserable. I went to meet her in her ward. I was happy to see her and she was too, she welcomed me with her arms wide open.
"My bobo......" she said
"Mama" I called. I did not know when tears stained my cheeks.
"I have missed you mama" I cried and she just kept patting me on the back.
"How have you been?" She asked
"I have been okay but seeing you awake now I am better and overjoyed"
"It is okay. I am here and will always be here with you" she said and I was happy she said those words. I need assurance that she was going to be okay.
I sat down on the seat beside the bed and we tried to catch up. Then I got a text from Jade saying Mar wanted to see me.
"What did he want me for?" I thought. I quickly rounded up with my mum and left.
I got to the mansion but unfortunately, I did not meet Mar because he had already gone to the office and he went alone. I quickly called Logan to inform them of his movements.
Logan picked up immediately
"Mar had gone to the office alone," I told him
"Okay. Thank you."
A few hours later, I got a call from Jade and he told me Mar had been attacked. And before I could ask if he was okay Jade ended the call.
Logan was definitely behind this. He wanted to get Mar out of the way completely. That was not my problem, I was good with the money I receive from both.
I got another call from Logan and he asked me to meet him outside the hospital.
I walked out to meet him where he has packed.
"You are taking me to where Arya is" Logan ordered
"It's dangerous for us to go now and I'm not sure if I know exactly where she was staying. We need to find out first"
"Then go and find out, that's what I pay you for"
"I can't go to Golem now my mother needs me"
"Don't forget I have the power to make sure she is thrown out of the hospital"
How wicked of him? But I dare not say anything. I just kept mute and allowed him to say what he wanted to say.
"Find out where she is and report to me. Now get out" he shouted and I got down from the car.
I went back to the hospital. My mum was having her dinner.
"You look sad. What's the problem?" She asked
"Nothing mama. I just have work to do and it's going to take a couple of days" I said and her expression changed.
"Don't worry mama. I will be back before you know it" I said and dropped a peck on her cheeks.
I went home and packed some of my clothes and took the next train to Golem.
It wasn't so difficult trialing Arya. She stayed with one of her friends who had a shop down the street.
When I found out about where she stayed, I informed Logan about it and he sent some men to get her but they failed. None returned.
I was to continue trailing her. Then I stopped seeing her. Logan would be so mad if I informed him I had lost her and so started following her friend.
One day I followed her friend and she led me to the new place she was staying at. And I also found Jade there too.
It was all a plan Mar had asked Jade to look after her. How was I so stupid?. He probably wanted to get her out of town while his favorite man looked after her.
How would he feel when he finds out that Logan had found his woman?
I called Logan immediately and informed him about it.
