Chapter Fifty Five

I moved to see what he was making and then I felt his hands move around my midriff and he began kneading me up and down. I kissed his vulnerable chest lightly
and heard a light moan come from him.

"I can't stop myself from touching you."

"The food will get burnt Baby," He said

I had completely forgotten he was cooking.


"That's right"

I joined him to serve lunch and then we ate together.

After eating we did the dishes together and then we went to shower. We got dressed and went for a walk by the beach.

It began to sprinkle. So we went back to the apartment. Took out a shower again, this time together so we could save some water.

Just the minute we came out of the shower, he kissed me and lifted me as carried me to the room, and then laid me on the bed.

Our stomachs reminded us that we needed food.

"Let's order for something to eat"

"That's a perfect idea"

We placed an order for pizza and some drinks and after 30 minutes it was delivered.

We ate while we watched soap operas. It was so good to see Mar watch soap opera because of me.

After clearing away the remaining pizza, Mar went to bed and I joined him. We lay in bed and just hearkened to the night.

Mar rolled over to me and wrapped his arm around me and pulled me nearer to him. Through the satin of my nightie, I could feel the warmth of his arousal.

"How long do you intend to be a siren hunter?"

"No, I don't... if we must settle down together then you have to quit. You've made enough money here and I think it's time you start afresh"

"My sister...."

He tried to say but I cut him off.

"Your sister would want you to be happy. She wouldn't want you spilling blood for her sake"

He turned away from me but I pulled him back to face me.

"I want you to be happy because that makes me happy."


Mar kissed me. "I love you a baby and the little one in there"


"Nothing is in there," I said

"Something is there but you can't see it"

"And why can't I see it"

"You can't see it because you are not the one that put it there."

I had seen a perfect picture ahead with Mar and that was all I wanted but I had to find out answers about my own life so I could find closure.


I was going to see Isla the moment we got back to Salamanca and after I meet with her I would tell Mar all about it.

We both chuckled. We stayed up talking and gusting about everything we could talk about and then sleep came and we slept. The next day we went back to Salamanca.


Jade and Mera were there to welcome us and I definitely saw the change. I couldn't wait for I and Mera to be alone to hear all the gist she had for me.


"You look reinvigorated," Mera said

"Thank you.. we missed you both" Jade said

"We missed you guys too" I replied

And finally Jade and Mar left to talk about something.

While i and Mera sat to talk.


"I didn't have the opportunity to tell you to apologize for the death of Laurie"

"Come on... you don't need to ask for forgiveness. You didn't kill her"

"Didn't mean to change your mood.."

"No, you didn't... I noticed you and Jade were holding hands when we came in" I said while winking at her.

I noticed her cheek redden.


"We are kinda together now"

"Wow.. that was quick. I'm happy for you"

I was really pleased for her. She was a delightful person and Jade was her excellent match. We did some catching up and then spent some time with us. We had lunch before they left.
