Chapter 170
Darius' POV
Without hesitation they shifted and ran to my side taking up an attacking stance, all of them growling at Marcus.
He looked taken aback but he didn't come out of his attacking stance either so we all took a step forward while he took a step back. Without warning he lunged for me but Hunter was one step ahead and lunged into his side, making him fall to the floor with Hunter on top of him.
'Let him fight'
Hunter moved back and Marcus stood back up on his paws. He growled at all of us before running back into the forest but I wasn't letting him get away that easy so I chased after him, and my fighters followed,
'Do not let him get away!'
I ran and ran, making sure to keep him in my sights, dodging every tree, jumping every rock and never slowing down. We were both as fast as each other and everytime I thought I was getting closer to
'Darius where are you?'
I didn't slow down as Rhylie sent me a mind message,
'Chasing Marcus'

I cut of the link and continued to keep my eye on Marcus until I couldn't chase him anymore,

We all stopped and watched Marcus continue to run ahead of us until he was out of our sights completely,
'Why did we stop?'
'We are at the end of our boundary, any further would be trespassing'

I growled at where I last saw Marcus and turned around and started running back to the pack house,
'Rhylie, leave some of our clothes on the back porch'

We continued to run and no more than 5 minutes later, we were back at the pack house. I picked up the clothes with my teeth and went behind a tree to change. I shifted back and put on the clothes and I emerged from behind the tree to see that Carl, Danny, Charlie and Hunter had done the same,
"We were so close"
"We need to keep a very close eye out for him"
They nodded,
"We'll be sure to be on our toes"
I nodded and we all walked into the lounge and I was heartbroken by what I saw next.
Rakari was crying into Adrian's shirt and he was trying to calm her down but by the looks of things, it was not working,
"Kari"
She abruptly looked up and immediately ran towards me and wrapped her arms around me continuing to cry,
"Shhhhh, baby, what's wrong? Why are you crying?"
"Y-you got hurt, I was w-worried about you"
"It was a minor fall, I didn't mean to hurt you"
"How could you chase after him like that?!"
"I didn't want him to get away but he did"
She leaned back and hit my chest,

She leant her head back on my chest and I kissed the top of her head.

I gestured for the guys to take a seat and I picked up Rakari and walked us over to the sofa,
"Howcome you didn't catch him?"
"We got to the end of our boundary, we couldn't go any further"
"He's coming back for me"
I looked down at Rakari,
"I'll kill him before he can even get close"
"You can't be with me 24/7"

She smiled sadly and gave me a peck on the lips,
"How about I call Chris over?"

"I just want to make you happy and seeing as I can't, Chris can"
"Who said that you don't make me happy?"
I gestured for the guys to leave and they did no questions asked and I looked back down at Rakari,
"I just feel that I'm not making you happy, I always seem to mess it up"
"But that's why I love you as much as I do"

"You make a lot of mistakes but everytime without fail you try your hardest to fix them and I love you so much for that, you make me happy, happier than you could ever know, more than what I can explain. Chris does make me happy because he's my friend but you make me happy because you're my everything"
I smiled and leaned down to kiss her lightly,

"I'm sure and i'll just sneak him in then"

I leaned down to kiss her and I wasted no time in gently biting her bottom lip for entrance and she wasted no time in giving it to me... What can I say, we're both eager.

I moved down to her neck, specifically her sensitive spot and started to gently kiss over it which caused her to let out a quiet moan so I continued. I placed kisses all over her neck and lightly grazed my teeth over her sensitive spot again,
"Darius" She let out breathlessly but that didn't stop me from doing what I was doing,
"Our room now"
Well I didn't need telling twice. I picked her up and literally ran out of the lounge,
"Woah woah woah, not so fast you two"
I stopped at the edge of the stairs at my mothers voice and groaned,
"What is it mum?"
I let Rakari's feet drop down to the floor and turned to face my mum,
"I heard Marcus came back"
I growled at the mention of his name,
"He did"
"I hope you're going to take action"
I nodded,
"Don't worry mum, I plan to protect Rakari and my pack"
"How?"
"It's complicated mum, just trust me"
She smiled,
"I trust you to make the right choice"

"Dinner will be ready in 30 minutes, be ready"
"Sure thing"
She walked away and I turned to face Rakari,
"We should probably go change then"
She gave me a seductive look, "She said 30 minutes, we still have time"
I smirked at what she was implying and picked her up again before running into my room and making the most of the 30 minutes that we had until dinner and trust me, the 30 minutes definitely paid off.
