Chapter 195
Rakari's POV
"There's something wrong with Sharise"
I looked away from the mirror and turned to face Darius, who was currently struggling with his tie so I sighed and walked over to him so that I could help him with it,
"What makes you say that? She's been through a lot in the past few weeks; of course she's not going to be the same as she was before"
I put his tie through the loop and gently pulled it before straightening it out for him,
"I know but she seems a bit too, I don't know, organised"
I raised an eyebrow at him,
"Organised? How can she seem too organised?"
He shrugged and walked over to the wardrobe so that he could take out his blazer,
"I don't know, it might just be me but one minute she doesn't want a war to start and then the next, she wants to help us to find Marcus, doesn't that seem a bit weird to you?"
"Kind of but she did say that she thought about everything he did to her, she finally came to her senses"
He nodded and did up the buttons of his blazer but I just shook my head and walked over to him so that I could undo them,
"Never button up a blazer"
"Why?"
I wiped down his blazer and fixed his collar. He smirked,
"Oh really?"
I nodded and looked into his eyes,
"Definitely"
I took a step back and looked over Darius, he gelled back his hair to make him look smarter. He's wearing a plain white shirt with a Caribbean blue tie and his black Armani blazer. He finished it off with his black dress pants and his plain black Gucci shoes and it just made his blue eyes stand out even more, especially with his silver stud in his left ear.
For effect, I was wearing a Caribbean blue silk halter neck fitted dress that reaches just below my knees with my blue gladiator sandals considering I'm not a big fan of high heels. I curled my hair because naturally my hair is ruler straight so it took a while. For jewellery, I decided to wear my tiffany earrings and matching necklace, Darius got them for me randomly and he insisted that I wear them.
"You look beautiful tonight Rakari"
I blushed and looked down,
"Thank you"
He tilted my head up with his finger and gave me a peck on the lips,
"You look very handsome"
He smiled,
"Glad you think so, you're all I need to impress"
I smiled back,
"I'm warning you now, if any other girl from a different pack starts to even look at you in a flirty way, I won't keep my wHe chuckled,
"Same goes for any guys looking at you the wrong way but I doubt that will happen, they'll be announcing us on the way down"
"Really? Why?"
"Every time an alpha has a party, they will be introduced to everyone that attends, it shows respect and gratitude"
"Wow, I'm still not used to this alpha female thing"
He took my hand,
"Don't worry, you'll get used to it eventually, you're practically a natural anyway"
I smiled and gave him a peck on the lips,
"I love you"
"I love you too"
He took my hand in his,
"You ready?"
I nodded,
"Let's get this party underway"
We walked out of the room and towards the stairs where we were currently being announced,
"Ladies and gentlemen, presenting the alpha and alpha female of the Shadow Valley Pack, please bow your heads in respect of Darius Kepler and Rakari Martin Cascella!"
Darius squeezed my hand for reassurance and we both descended the stairs and everyone bowed their heads and I internally groaned. I can hardly take a few people bowing to me but a crowd of nearly 300? That's a lot of people,
"Alpha, thank you very much for inviting us to this event"
Darius nodded,
"You're very welcome alpha Steven, thank you for the introduction"
He chuckled,
"It was very suitable, may I introduce myself to your mate?"
"You may"
Alpha Steven turned to face me, "Pleasure to meet you, I'm alpha Steven Thomas"
I placed my hand in his and he kissed the back of my hand, "Rakari Martin Cascella"
"Oh I know, everyone knows about you"
"Really? Why is that?"
"How can you not remember the girl that kept the famous alpha Darius at bay?"
I smiled,
"How ruthless was he before I arrived?"
"Don't worry about that baby"
I looked at Darius,
"I'm going to assume you were pretty ruthless"
He shook his head,
"Let's just say that I wasn't exactly fair to my pack members"
I nodded and leaned up to give him a peck on the lips,
"Well," He smiled and gave me another peck on the lips,
"For the better"
"So, you want to introduce me to some people?"
He nodded and put his arm around my waist,
"Well you've obviously met alpha Steven so let's go and meet his wife and kids"
I nodded and he led me towards a woman in her early 40's with a young boy and girl sitting on her lap,
"Mrs Thomas"
The woman looked up at us and smiled,
"Well, if it isn't Darius Kepler, look at you now, a world known alpha, I remember you when you were only little running around the garden in only your shorts"
I starting laughing and looked over at Darius to see him blushing,
"That is classic! Awwww, baby!"
"I was young; I didn't know what I was doing"
I smiled and put my hand on his chest,
"You are just too cute"
"Whatever, Yvette, this is my mate Rakari, Rakari, this is Yvette Thomas and her two kids, Sophia and Kyle"
Yvette stood up and I went to shake her hand but she just pulled me in for a hug,
"It's lovely to meet you Rakari; I am alpha female to the Silver Suns pack"
I pulled back shocked,
"No way, isn't that the pack that went into war with the Deadly Sinners Pack?"
She nodded,
"The one and only"
The Deadly Sinners Pack. The most ruthless and dangerous pack in the whole country, if you ever get on there bad side, war will happen and they do not take war lightly,
"What ever happened to alpha Sergio?"
She shrugged,
"He ran off and we haven't seen him since but lets not talk about that, tonight is a night for fun so where's the drink?!"
I laughed,
"Yvette, what would Steven say if he saw you drinking?"
"Oh please Georgio"
She waved him off and gestured for one of the waiters to pass her a glass of champagne and I turned around to face the guy that just spoke,
"Well, what name should I put to your beautiful face?"
Darius growled and pulled me closer to him possessively,
"This is my mate so I'd advise you to back off"
I could sense Darius' anger so I rubbed up and down his arm to calm him down and he closed his eyes for a while before he relaxed,
"I apologise alpha Darius, I shall introduce myself"
He turned to look at me,
"My name is Giorgio Samir and I am alpha to the Seven Oceans Pack"
I shook his hand and smiled, "Pleasure to meet you Alpha
He turned to look at me,
"My name is Giorgio Samir and I am alpha to the Seven Oceans Pack.
"Giorgio, I'm Rakari Martin Cascella"
"So you're the famous Rakari?"
"How does everyone know about me?"
"Because of you keeping alpha Darius controlled, your pack has been doing 10 times better, they are now one of the strongest packs in the region"
I looked at Darius shocked,
"Is that true?"
He nodded,
"Because of you we are much more controlled and collected"
"Wow, I never knew I had that much of an effect on you"
"You've made me a better person"
I smiled and leant into his side,
"You've made me a better person as well"
He smiled and kissed the top of my head,
"Well, if it isn't my favourite nephew"
We turned around to the source of the voice and Darius growled intensely at the guy in front of us,
"Uncle Harold"
"Aren't you going to introduce me to your mate?"
"Over my dead body"
He smirked,
