Chapter 186
Rakari's POV
I stood up from the bed and pulled him up before we both walked out of the room and went down into the kitchen where we saw Darius, Sadie, Neil, my mum and dad, Mrs Prescott and surprise surprise, Francesca.
I walked up to Darius and wrapped my arms around his waist and he turned around and lightly pressed his lips against mine,
"Finally"
I smiled against his lips before i pulled away,
"Miss me?"
"You have no idea"
"I was only gone for 10 minutes"
He leant his forehead against mine,
"And those felt like the longest 10 minutes of my life"
I smiled and was about to lean up and kiss him when a cough stopped us from doing so,
"Yeah, we are still here you know"
We smiled and i gave him a peck on the lips before i moved away from him and went to stand next to my mum who was sitting down in one of the chairs near the table,
"So, what were you talking about?"
"Sharise"
My breath got caught in my throat as my eyes started to fill with tears. I dont even know why i'm so emotional, i just felt so connected with Sharise and its practically my faulI felt the tears run down my cheeks and Darius was infront of me in a second, gently wiping them away for me,
"Its not your fault"
I shook my head,
"It is" I looked behind him at Mrs Prescott,
"Mrs Prescott, i am so sorry, i didnt mean for this to happen"
"Well that's a first"
"What do you mean?"
"Never would've thought an alpha female would be apologizing to me for something she didnt do"
"I'm not an alpha by blood"
She stood up and placed a hand on my shoulder,
"Being a good alpha female does not come by being an alpha female by blood. Your mother could've been alpha female but that doesnt mean you would be as good or as bad as her. Being a good alpha female comes from the heart, it takes commitment, passion, authority and love for others and that doesnt come by blood and from what i've witnessed, you are a wonderful alpha female"
That speech brought tears to my eyes because i have never been spoken of so highly before.
She pulled me in for a hug, "And please call me Leila"
I nodded and she pulled away from me so that Darius could take over and i leant my head on his chest and he ran his hands over my hair,
"Shhhhh, baby its okay, we'll find her, i promise he wont get away with this"
I nodded and he kissed the top of my head,
"You're a fucking slut!"
I pulled away from Darius and looked at him confused and i took his hand and we all walked out to where the argument was coming from and we walked into the lounge to see Francesca and Mhakir in a pretty intense argument,
"I'm not a slut"
He laughed humourlessly,
"Yeah, like i'm gonna believe that! I walked in here to find you kissing some other guy!!"
"Why do you give a fuck?!"
"BecausGasps of shock filled the room at that revelation,
"Should i stop the arguing?"
I shook my head,
"Let them handle it, its also interesting to watch"
He chuckled and we went back to watching the argument,
"I don't want a mate, i'm happy with my life!"
"How can you be happy?! You sleep with every single guy in the pack but you cant accept your own mate?!"
"Your a hypocrite! Your a man-whore! I dont want to accept you!"
"Why?!"
"Because i have feelings for someone else okay?!"
He looked at her shocked, hurt flashing through his eyes,
"Who is he?"
"It doesn't matter, he found his mate"
He took a step closer to her, "Who is he?"
"Just let it go"
"Who the fuck is he?!"
"Darius! Okay?! I have feelings for Darius!"
Everyone gasped again and i looked at her in shock but mainly anger.
I took a step forward,
"You what?"
"Rakari calm down"
"Hold on Darius, i need to make sure i heard right" I looked back at Francesca,
"What did you say?"
"I'm sorry"
"Son of a bitch! So your telling me that this whole time, you've had feelings for my mate?! Your telling me that you wont accept my brother because you have feelings for my fucking mate?!"
She nodded,
"I'm really sorry"
I let go of my anger and lunged for her, pinning her down to the ground with my hand over her neck,
"Darius, dont you dare come near me right now or anyone else for that matter"
Darius stopped moving forward and took a step back and everyone stayed put and i looked down at Francesca,
"Now i am going to say this once and once only, so make sure you listen good. My brother is a fantastic guy and the best mate you could ever ask for so you have no fucking right to reject him. Your lucky hes even looking at you considering you've slept with every guy in this pack! These feelings you have for my mate better stop quick because you wont get him, end of story because i sure as hell wont allow it, ever! Now get your fucking head out of the clouds, get your act together and have a chat with my brother because i fucking said so, understand me?"
Even with my hand over her neck she managed a nod so i sent her an innocent smile and let go of her neck,
"Okay great"
I stood up and brushed myself off before i turned to face everyone else who had a mixture between shock and fear,
"We all know it had to be done"
I looked at Darius to see his eyes had turned black and i automatically knew why,
"Well, me and Darius are going upstairs, Mhakir?"
He turned to face me so i continued,
"Talk some sense into her"
He nodded and i took Darius' hand so that we could walk upstairs to our room and as soon as we got in, he locked the door behind us,
"You looked so freaking sexy just then"
"Just then?"
"You know what i mean, the power and authority that came from you was so hot, i love a woman that can take control"
I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck,
"It's a good thing i can then isn't it? I just cant believe she has feelings for you, did you know about that?"
"Of course not, i never wouldve guessed but lets notHe leant down so that his lips were brushing against mine,
"Lets not talk at all"
I closed the gap and pressed my lips against his and all the anger, shock, annoyance and any other emotion i felt, left my body as soon as i kissed Darius, it was just me and him, everything else didnt matter, nothing else was happening... But if only that was true.
