Chapter 183
Darius' POV
"Rakari"
She didn't say anything. She just continued to pace up and down the room, something she's been doing for the past 20 minutes so i stood up and walked over to her so that i could grab her waist to make her stop,
"Baby, stop pacing"
She sighed,
"i just want to find Marcus and bring Sharise back home, he's making me so angry!"
She leant her head on my chest and i gently rubbed her back,
"I know but you can't let him get to you, that's what he wants, don't give him the satisfaction"
"I can't help it, he just gets me so mad!"
I kissed the top of her head, "I know baby, i know, just don't be so hard on yourself"
"This is all my fault Darius and you know it"
"No, I don't know it because none of this is your fault, it's his, it's his fault because he won't accept the fact that you found your mate and your happy"
"I just want to kill him right now, i can't believe i ever loved him"
"Neither can i" I muttered under my breath and she looked up and gave me a peck on the lips,
"You forget we have advanced hearing"
I gave her a sheepish smile and she just smiled and shook her head,
"I really love you"
"I really love you too"
'Darius, we have a problem'
'What is it Charlie?'
'Lionel has reported a sighting of enemy pack figure growled and Rakari looked at me confused before i replied,
'I'm coming now, rally up every single pack fighter we have, they will not be leaving here unscathed'
'Sure thing Darius, we'll meet you at the fighting point'
I cut off the link and looked at Rakari,
"I have to go"
"Have to go where?"
"I have just been informed that dark moon fighters are on our territory"
Her face changed from confusion to understanding and straight to anger in a matter of seconds,
"No! No, you are not going to fight them!"
"I have to, i'm alpha"
"I don't care Darius, you are not going out there!"
"I'm doing this to protect you"
"The only way i'll be protected is if you protect me yourself, don't go out there please!"
'Adrian, Danny, come to my room now'
"I'm sorry baby, i have to do this"
Adrian and Danny came running into the room and i gestured towards Rakari and they got the hint immediately, they grabbed her arms and legs.
"Keep her safe until I come back"
They both nodded and i looked back at Rakari to see tears running down her face and it broke my heart to see her like that but i have no choice,
"Please"
I shook my head,
"I'm sorry"
I turned to walk out but before she could be out of my hearing range completely, i heard her shout out to me,
"I love you!!"
I smiled and opened our mind link so that i could reply,
'I love you too, i'll be back soon'
I closed the link again and continued walking out of the pack house before i shifted and started running towards the fighting point.
No more than 5 minutes later, i emerged from the trees into a clearing to see all of my best fighters and they bowed their heads to me in respect,
'Lift your heads'
They rose their heads and i looked towards Charlie or in this case, the grey wolf with the blue eyes,
'Where are they?'
'They should be coming up to our boundary now'
'Lets not waste time then, i just want to get this over with so i can go home to my mate'
He nodded and i growled to tell everyone to follow to which they replied with a nod.
We all ran off into the woods again with me in the front,
'I smell them'
I growled in confirmation,
'So do I, they're near, everyone slow down'
We slowed down from running to a slow walk, making sure to be on our toes because with every step i took, their scent grew stronger but yet i couldn't see them,
'Watch your backs, i know they're close'
We continued walking forward and i perked up my ears to see if i could hear even the slightest noise to give me a clue as to where they were,
'Where the hell are they?'
I growled and soon enough the question was answered because without warning, at least 8 wolves jumped out from the trees and surrounded us.
They snarled at us,
'Whatever you do, do not turn your back on them'
We snarled right back at them and i took a step forward to show dominance and i could see some of their stances faltOne of the wolves let out an intense growl and they all advanced on us and i wasted no time so i lunged for the wolf in front of me and he was no match for me at all because i clamped my teeth down on his neck and he fell limp in seconds.
I turned back around to see the rest of them fighting eachother,
'Darius, duck!'
I didn't even bother turning around, i ducked straight away and immediately jumped on the brown wolfs back, digging my claws into his skin in the process making him howl out in pain before he shook me off and wasted no time in lunging for me but before he could get to me, Rhylie lunged for him and clamped his teeth down on his neck making him stop struggling and fall limp,
'Rhylie'
He turned to face me and shook his wolf head,
'We'll always be friends and right now i have your back'
'And i have yours so i'd advise you to side step to the right now!'
He side stepped and and i was about to go for the second kill of the night but he side stepped as well and i felt a force push against my side before i felt teeth pierce through my side making me howl in pain. I was scared at that point, but not at the fact that we might lose because we won't, i was scared for Rakari because i knew that she could feel that.
I snarled at the wolf for hurting my mate as well and i disregarded the pain and swiped my paw across his face, making sure to extend my sharp claws on impact which made him whimper slightly but before he could shake off the pain, I lunged for him and latched my teeth into his neck, not far enough to kill him but far enough to cause immense amount of pain, i wanted him to suffer before i killed him, suffer for causing my mate pain.
I dug my claws into his skin, making sure to keep my grip and he whimpered again and started struggling in my clutch which started to get annoying so i put him out of his misery and sunk my teeth deeper into his neck, making him stop struggling and go limp.
I released my grip on him and he fell to the ground and i shook my fur and turned around to see all of the enemy pack fighters dead on the ground and i growled at the fact that they wasted my time making me come here just to find out they're not even a challenge!
