Chapter 189
Darius’ POV
You would’ve thought that by now I would’ve got tired of watching Rakari sleep but nope, she’s just too beautiful and I feel like I have to watch her to make sure that what I’m seeing is real and that I was truly given an angel for a mate,
“I’m not an angel Darius”
She turned to face me with a smile on her face and I rubbed the back of my neck sheepishly,
“Sorry”
She looked at me confused and sat up,
“Why are you apologising? You didn’t do anything wrong”
“I know, it just felt like the right moment to say it”
“You’re so weird”
She leaned forward and gave me a peck on the lips,
“But that’s what I love about you… and your hot body”
I laughed,
“Figured”
She moved over so that she was now straddling me and she started running her fingers through my hair which just made my wolf purr,
“What do you wanna do today?”
“Stay in bed and show you how much I love you”
She hit my chest playfully,
“I think you’ve shown me enough”
I chuckled,
“Nah, I still don’t think I’ve shown you properly”
She leaned down so that I could feel her lips brush against mine,
“You can show me as much as you want later”
I raised an eyebrow at her,
“As much as I want?”
She ran a hand over my abs,
“As much as you want”
I let out a low growl and closed the gap between us so that I could press my lips against hers and she tangled her fingers in my hair and pulled me closer to her. I lightly bit her bottom lip but she started teasing me and didn’t let me in so I bit it again but with a bit more force and she gasped in shock and I took that as my chance to slip my tongue in her mouth but she didn’t protest, she started fighting for control and me being the loving mate that I am, gave it to her.
I flipped us over so that I was now on top of her and I moved my lips down so that I was kissing her neck and she arched to the side so that I could have more access and she started to run her nails all the way down my back, making me growl out.
“I love you so much” She said breathlessly and I moved my lips away from her neck and looked up into her eyes,
“I love you too”
She smiled and gave me a peck on the lips,
“We really should get out of bed”
I groaned and lay my head on her chest and she laughed and ran her fingers through y hair again,
“I don’t wanna get out of bed” I said in a child voice,
“Come on baby, as much as I would love to stay here all day with you, we should get up”
I shook my head,
“I don’t wanna”
“I’ll make you breakfast if you do”
“With bacon?”
She laughed,
“Yes Darius, with bacon”
I sat up and smiled,
“Okay, let’s go then, but put on one of my shirts before you do”
“Scared I’ll run off with someone else?”
“No, I just don’t want any guys perving on my mate, you know how I get Rakari”
“I know, don’t worry I’ll put on a shirt if it will make you happy”
“Very”
I moved off of her so that I could get her one of my shirts. I passed it to her and she stood up and put it on and because she’s quite short, the shirt went up to her knees and my eyes just darkened at the sight of how sexy she looked in my shirt,
“Go put on some trousers”

She raised an eyebrow at me, “Excuse me? That better not have been the alpha tone I heard”
“Just do it Rakari”

“Did you just say no to me? Just remember, I’m your alpha”
“You are also my mate and I don’t expect to be talked to like I’m some slut”
I sighed,
“Can you just put on some trousers or something please, you’re revealing way too much leg for my liking”
“I’ll put on some trousers when you put on a shirt, you think I was gonna let you parade around the house with no shirt? Think again baby”
She winked at me and walked out of the bedroom and I let out a growl and put on a shirt like she told me to before I followed her out of the room downstairs into the kitchen,
“Hi Darius”
“Hey Mhakir, where’s Rakari?”
“She just went outside with some guy called Jay”
“Shit”
I ran outside into the garden to see Rakari pressed up against the wall with Jay in front of her and my eyes went red. Before I new it I was punching him around the face and was about 2 seconds away from shifting into my wolf,
“What do you think you are doing?!”
He stepped back in fear, “Nothing alpha”
I stepped forward and narrowed my eyes at him,
“It looked like you were forcing yourself on my mate!!”
I was about to teach him a lesson when Rakari stepped in front of me and placed her hands on my chest.
I stepped forward and narrowed my eyes at him,

“Don’t do it”
I looked down at her,
“I love how you didn’t push him off of you and now you want to defend him! Is there something you want to tell me?!”
She pushed me and I stumbled back a few steps,
“I was actually about to kick him in the balls before you came out, don’t jump to conclusions so quickly”
I walked past her towards Jay who was just standing there with fear on his face,
“I’d advise you to leave right now before I let my wolf take over and teach you a lesson”
He nodded frantically and ran off into the house and I took a few deep breaths before I turned to face Rakari,
“I didn’t mean what I said”
She put her hands on her hips, “Oh really?”
I nodded,
“Yes, I was just angry that he was touching you, only I’m allowed to do that”
“You make me look weak Darius, I’m supposed to be alpha female and you’re making me look weak”
“I just wanted to protect you, I didn’t mean to make you feel that way, I’m sorry”
She walked up to me and wrapped her arms around my neck,
“I know you are baby it’s just that- I want to be able to do things on my own, I can’t depend on you all the time”
I leant my forehead against hers,
“I’m sorry baby”
She gave me a peck on the lips
I smiled and pressed my lips against hers again and I sent her a mind message,
‘I still haven’t got my bacon’
She smiled against my lips and pulled away from me,
“Typical man thinking about food”
I smiled,
“It will pay off later”
She looked at me confused so I leaned down next to her ear,
“Gives me more energy for the bedroom”
She blushed and hit my arm playfully and I just chuckled at her cuteness,
“You’re so cute”
She blushed even more and buried her face in my chest,
“I hate you” She mumbled in my chest and I chuckled,
“I love you too”
I was about to kiss her again when we got interrupted by frantic calling,
“Alp- I mean Darius, it’s- She’s-“
I put my hand up to cut Charlie off,
“Slowly”
“She’s back”
I looked at him confused, “Who’s back?”
“Sharise”
I looked at him shocked and all of a sudden Rakari ran out of my arms into the house and I walked after her, still in shock.
I walked into the house and there before me was Sharise and I looked at Rakari to see her staring at her.
Sharise turned to face Rakari and gave her a sad smile before she ran over to her and hugged her and then they both started crying,
“I can’t believe your back!”
“I missed you Rakari, I’m so sorry”
Rakari ran a hand over her hair as she spoke,
“You have nothing to be sorry for, I’m just glad you’re home safe”
I decided to leave them both to catch up so I started to walk out of the room when Sharise stopped me,
“Alpha”
I turned around,
“Yes?”
“Don’t go after Marcus”
“And why shouldn’t I? He kidnapped you Sharise, he needs to pay!”
She flinched and cowered away from me in fear and I ran my hands through my hair,
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to yell”
She smiled sadly,
“He let me go and I don’t want any trouble, please”
She pleaded me with her eyes and I nodded,
“Okay fine, I won’t go after him”
“Thank you”
I smiled,
“It’s fine, as long as you’re happy”
She smiled and then Mrs Prescott walked into the room and she ran to her daughter and Rakari came up to me and wrapped her arms around my waist,
“I can’t either, I’m confused as to why he let her go in the first place, it makes no sense to kidnap her just to let her go so easily”
“I know but she’s back so lets not think too much on it”
“You’re right”
I kissed the top of her head and looked towards Sharise and her mum. I know for a fact that there’s a catch to all of this because Marcus would not just let Sharise go so easily after all the trouble he went through to take her and I know that this is going to cause a whole lot of drama but I just don’t know what kind and how much.
