Chapter 171
Rakari's POV
"Darius"
"Yes Rakari?"
"What are you doing, you've been really quiet since yesterday"
He sighed and ran his hands through his hair,
"I'm just really frustrated. I was so close to catching him but now the bastard is running free"
"As much as i despise him, i don't want you to go too far with this"
"I don't care what you want, i will make him pay with the worst i have"
"You don't care what i want? That's nice to know"
"Baby, you know i didn't mean that"
"I think you should calm down and get yourself sorted before you decide to talk to me again"
I turned around to walk out of his study when i felt two arms go around my waist,
"I'm sorry, i'm just under a lot of stress"
I removed his arms and turned around to face him again,
"And you don't think i am? You take your stress out on everyone else and i'm sick of it, sort yourself out"
I walked away from him and decided to check out the second part of the pack house. I never actually got a chance to with everything that's been going on. The second part of the pack house is basically where the whole pack lives while the first part is mainly the top of the hierachy in the pack.
I walked through the hallway until i got to the lounge, where most of the pack was and as soon as i walked in, everyone went silent, stood up and bowed their head,
"Good morning alpha female"
I internally groaned They all nodded,
"Very"
"I'm going to give you all an insight to the future"
They nodded and moved a bit closer waiting to here what i had to say,
"When you find your mate, emotions you never knew you had will surface but i assure you it's for the better. Yes i had a boyfriend before i met Darius and i did love him but when me and Darius met, i felt a whole different kind of love, we connected in a way i can't explain"
"How do you know who your mate is?"
"When you touch you feel a surge of electricity run through your veins and you automatically feel whole, like you've just found the missing piece of your puzzle"
They looked at me in awe as they took in the information that i was giving them,
"How does it feel when you officially mate?"
"That is something you need to find out by yourself"
He chuckled,
"We're hoping that you'll be able to mellow out Darius"
"How so?"
"He's just so strict and if he ever finds out i've been saying this i'll be in so much trouble"
"What he don't know won't hurt him"
I winked at him and he smiled before continuing,
"Darius has been quite cold ever since Lucie left"
One of the boys hit Alex round the head,
"We shouldn't be talking about her"
I looked at them confused, "I'd actually like to know who Lucie is"
Everyone looked at each other wearily before they turned back to me,
"We can't tell you, Darius said we're not allowed to tell anyone, we're hardly allowed to say her name"
"If you tell me, i promise to never tell Darius, you won't get in trouble" I put my hand out,
"I can assure you"
He looked hesitant but after a long stare at my outstretched hand, he finally shook it and i smiled,
"This is only what i know, it might not be true" I nodded and he took a breath before he continued,
"Well apparently Lucie was his ex girlfriend, long story short, he loved her and one day he found out that she was cheating on him with his best friend, she only wanted to be with him because he's the alpha"
I looked at him shocked,
"Are you serious?"
He nodded,
"He banished his friend but his dad persuaded him not to banish Lucie for some weird reason, ever since then he's been harsher than ever"
"Well i'll be making sure to change that"
"How?"
"I have my ways"

I turned to face the doorway to see Darius and everyone in the room stood up and bowed their head,
"Good afternoon alpha"
I groaned,
"Seriously guys, lift your heads"
They lifted their heads up and Darius walked over and wrapped his arm around my waist but i remembered that i was angry at him so i removed his arm from my waist and he sighed,
"I'm gonna give you guys an order okay?" They nodded,
"Whenever me and Darius walk into a room, or are just where you are, don't bow to us like we're royalty, yes we're alphas but i don't like formailty, understand?"
They smiled and nodded,
"I like you Rakari"
I smiled,
"Name?"
"Sharise"
"Well, i like you too Rakari"
She put her hand out for me to shake but i just pulled her in for a hug,
"I know i don't know you guys that well but don't be afraid to come to me for anything"
I stepped back and they all nodded,

I waved and walked out of the room with Darius close behind me,

He grabbed my wrist but i pulled out of his grip and turned to face him,

"I just want to protect you, i'm just really stressed out and i'm trying so hard to make Marcus pay for what he did to you and i really didn't mean to take my anger out on you, i'm sorry"

I walked away from him so that i could go back to the front of the pack house. I walked into the lounge and as soon as i saw Chris i ran up to him and hugged him,

He leaned back,

I shook my head,
"Nope, just honest"
He chuckled,
"Whatever, you have some explaining to do"
"I don't really want to talk about it right now, Darius has pissed me off"
"I won't ask how"
"Thank you but you told me that you have some good news"
He smiled,
"I do"
"Tell me then!"
He laughed,
"I gained the courage to ask Sam out"
I looked at him shocked,
"And? What did she say?"
"She said yes"
"Awwww Chris! I'm so happy for you!"
"Thanks, finally after 2 years, she noticed that i like her"
"Good thing i didn't have to go through that, it would be so awkward"

He laughed and we both went to sit down on the sofa,
"So, since you invited me, what do you wanna do?"
"i dunno, i was hoping you would tell me that"

I smiled,
"How about we just chill and watch TV"

He took the remote from my hand and switched the TV on and i just laughed.

I wiped my eyes and looked towards the doorway to see Darius,

"Can i show you something?"
"I don't really feel like getting up right now"
"Please"
I sighed,
"Okay fine"

"Seriously, i was gonna put on bride wars"
He stood up,
"That is definitely my cue to leave"
I laughed and stood up to hug him,

He leaned back and walked over to Darius to give him a man-hug before waving to me and leaving the pack house and i turned to face Darius,
"This better be good because i was really comfortable"
"Trust me"
He held out his hand and i sighed before taking it and letting him lead me to wherever he was taking me.
He lead me through the corridor and we walked through the gym and into an empty hall next to the gym,
"Why did you bring me here?"
"You said that you love to play badminton"
"And?"
"And i'm going to build this into a private badminton court just for you and i've already hired you a personal coach"

"Because i really want you to forgive me so i wanted to do this for you"

I walked up to him and put my arms around his neck and he grabbed my waist,
"By showing how much you care without gifts but i will take the badminton court"
He chuckled,
"I knew you wouldn't turn that down"
I smiled and gave him a peck on the lips,
"So does that mean you forgive me?"
I nodded,
"Yes it does"
He leant his forehead against mine,
"Good because i've been stressed and i'd enjoy some calming down"
I smirked at what he was implying,
"I can calm you down in many ways" I leaned up to whisper in his ear,
"Which way would be best?"
He let out a low growl,
"We'll improvise"
He captured my lips with his and i tangled my fingers in his hair. He lifted me up and instictively, i wrapped my legs around his waist but not breaking the kiss.
I was too lost in the kiss to realise that we were already in the bedroom until he lay me down on the bed while he hovered over me and i didnt waste any time in lifting his shirt over his head and forgetting everything that happened with Marcus.
Marcus's' POV
If only Rakari knew how much i love her, then she might come to her senses and come to me but Darius just had to ruin my plans. I planned to go to her new pack and win her back but what do i find? I find her mated to an alpha!
"Marcus"
I looked up,
"What?"
"When do you want us to set the plan in motion?"
"We need to send them a little warning first"
"What kind of warning?"
"Gather up our best fighters"
"Why?"
"Don't question what i've asked, just do it!"
"You're not my alpha, i don't have to listen to you"
I narrowed my eyes at him, "You'll regret saying that to me but for now, i have more important matters to attend to, go and get the fighters"
HHe nodded hesitantly,
"Sure thing"
He walked out of the room and i smirked, if Darius thinks i'm going to sit back and do nothing, he can think again
