Chapter 192
Darius’ POV
I walked into mine and Rakari’s room and walked over to the bed so that I could wake her up; a task which I knew wasn’t going to be easy so I need to play this tactfully,
"Rakari?”
She groaned and just rolled over to her other side so I sat down on the bed next to her and placed my hand on her waist so that I could gently shake her awake,
"Rakari, baby, it’s time to wake up”
“No, 5 more minutes”
I chuckled and moved a strand of hair from her face which didn’t go down well with her because she just turned around to punch me but with my quick reflexes, I ducked before her fist actually hit me,
“I swear to God Darius, if you don’t move away from me right now, I’ll be sure to hit you next time” She said in a sleepy voice before pulling the covers up over her head even more,
“Come on baby”
She moved her hand out from under the covers and flipped me off before putting it back and I just chuckled at how she generally hates being woken up in the morning, or any time for that matter,
“I’ll walk around shirtless for you” I said with a
“If you walk around shirtless I’ll kick your ass”
I sighed and ran my hands through my hair before I got under the covers with her and wrapped my arms around her waist to which she rolled over and snuggled up into my chest and I started to rub the small of her back with my thumb in a calming manner which made her let out a content sigh,
“You really have to get up Rakari, we need to look over the pack house for the party, we have a lot of important people coming to this”
“But I’m tired”
“I know baby but I promise, once the party is over, I’ll let you sleep as much as you want”
She opened her eyes slowly and pouted and my wolf was going crazy at how sexy she looked when she did that,
“You promise?”
I pushed my wolf down and nodded before I leant down and gave her a peck on the lips,
“I promise”
She let out a small smile and rubbed her eyes
“Paybacks a bitch baby”
I gulped,
“Ummmm, what are you gonna do?”
She got up from the bed and put on one of my shirts before walking towards the bathroom and turning to face me,
“Let’s just say that you won’t be getting any for a while”
She winked at me and walked into the bathroom and I just sat there with a shocked expression, I can’t believe that she’s getting revenge by saying that I can’t make love to her, I mean, it’s not that our relationship is based on that but that’s not the point.
I stood up from the bed and walked out of the room because I knew that if I stayed in there any longer, I wouldn’t be able to keep myself from walking into the shower with Rakari and make her take back her words,
“Darius”
“Your mother wishes to know just how many alphas are coming to the party tonight”
I looked at Charlie confused, “Why?”
He shrugged,
“Something about food amounts”
I groaned,
“Please don’t tell me that she’s making her ‘famous’ casserole?”
He rubbed the back of his neck, “Yeah”
“Please go and stop her Charlie, do you remember how the last one turned out?”
He nodded frantically,
“Yes, I do, don’t worry, I’ll handle it”
“Thank you”
He nodded and walked off and I started walking towards the back of the house to see how much progress has been made,
“Where is Rhylie?”
Everyone turned to face me and s“We haven’t seen him all day alpha”
I sighed and sent Rhylie a mind message,
‘Rhylie, where are you?’
‘Out with my mum buying things for the party, she is ridiculously excited about this’
I chuckled,
‘So is my mum, she’s making her casserole’
‘Oh God no, please don’t tell me it’s the one she served at the last party’
‘The one and only, I made Charlie stop her from making it’
‘Thank heavens; I just don’t have the heart to tell her that it’s just not ideal for parties or any event for that matter’
‘Neither do I and she’s my mother’
He laughed in my head,
‘We’ll be back in an hour’
‘Alright, I’d like to talk to you when you get back’
‘Okay, no problem’
I cut off the link and was about to turn around when I felt two arms go around my waist and a smile automatically made its way to onto my face,
“Hey baby”
I turned around to face Sakari and she wrapped her arms around my neck,
“Why didn’t you come with me?”
I looked at her confused, “Where?”
She ran her hands through my hair,
“The shower”
I looked at her shocked,
“You said that-“
She cut me off by giving me a peck on the lips,
“I said that you won’t be getting any, that didn’t mean you couldn’t do anything else”
I smirked and leant down so that I could
“Don’t worry; I’ll be sure to wrap the party up early so I can take you up on your offer”
She whispered back,
“You better”
She leaned back and I pressed my lips against hers shortly before we got interrupted by my mum running out,
“Darius Jameson Kepler!”
I groaned and turned around to face my mum,
“What is it mum?”
“I still haven’t got the number of alphas that are coming tonight”
“Probably because I told Charlie not to give them to you”
“And why is that exactly?”
“Because it’s just not necessary for you to know mum”
“I need to make my casserole Darius”
“No you don’t mum, I’m sorry but I’m not going to let you make that mum, it’s just not ideal”
Rakari scowled at me and hit me across the back of the head,
“Ow! Rakari! Seriously, what was that for?!”
“Don’t be so rude to your mum! Gosh!”
“I wasn’t being rude; I was just being honest with her”
“Honesty takes subtlety Darius, apologise”
“But-“
She raised an eyebrow at me, “Apologise, now”
I sighed and turned to face my mum,
“I’m sorry mum”
“It’s fine, thank you Rakari”
She smiled,
“Anytime, I’ll be sure to keep him in line”
She nodded and walked back into the house and my wolf was a bit furious at Rakari right now at how she just undermined me as an alpha, I mean yes she’s my mum but
“Rakari, I think we need to talk”
