Chapter 194
Darius's POV
Everyone looked down to the ground but I wasn’t finished yet,
“The party will continue as planned and it will go smoothly no matter what the case may be but I swear to God and trust me when I say this, if anything else like this or along the lines of this happens again or even comes close to it, every single fucking person will be punished, have I made myself clear?!!”
Everyone nodded,
“Yes alpha Darius”
I scanned over everyone, “Proceed as before but remember my words”
“Yes alpha”
I turned on my heels and walked back into the pack house fuming. I just can’t believe what happened, the fact that they had the audacity to cause an argument even if they started it or not is not how I brought my pack to the top.
I walked into the study and put in the book code so that I could walk into the meeting room and I walked straight towards the war plans, if Marcus thinks I am going to let him get away with everything he has done, he can think again, nothing will stop me from finding him and when I do, I definitely make no promises that I won’
“Darius?”
I looked towards the entrance to see Rakari with Sharise in tow,
“She can’t be in here Rakari”
“Come on Darius, a lot has just happened and she needs to get away from that, this is the only place I could think of”
I sighed and ran my hands through my hair,
“Okay fine fine”
“I want to help”
I looked at Sharise confused, “With what exactly”
“With tracking Marcus”
Me and Rakari looked at each other in shock and then looked back at her,
“Are you serious? Just yesterday you didn’t want the war to start, what made you change your mind?”
“I ummm- Even though I don’t want to tell you what he did to me, I still can’t get it out of my mind and I know I’m just a pack member but this has had a really big effect on me and my life and I think that making him pay is the best thing right
I nodded and looked at Rakari for confirmation to which she nodded,
“I guess you could help but you’re only 16 Shar”
“I took a class in karate, judo and marshal arts and I know every part of our and everyone else’s territory like the back of my hand”
“And how do you know that?”
“I have friends from many different packs; I’ve gotten to know the lands of others”
I nodded and gestured for her and Rakari to take a seat to which they obliged and sat down and I slid over the war plans to them,
“Take a look and look carefully, the plan needs to be solid proof by the end of tonight because I plan to strike tomorr
Sharise’s POV
Wow. Who would’ve thought that getting into the meeting room would be that easy but I have to give credit to Darius though, I mean a secret room behind 2 bookshelves with book titles for a code? I mean who would’ve thought it? The amount of times I’ve been in the study and not once realised that the meeting room was only about 3 feet away,
“So, what do you think?”
I scanned over the last war plan and slid it back over to Darius,
“Why are you only sending three quarters of the pack fighters?”
“Because we can’t risk sending everyone out”
I nodded,
“Wouldn’t it be best if you stayed at the pack house, it’s only a surprise attack, not a full on head to head battle”
He nodded, thinking it over. The fact is that I genuinely needed him to stay behind because if he doesn’t, then I’m going to have to find another way to get him alone and that means the plan will be delayed by at least a few more days and I don’t think Alpha Marcus will be very happy if that happens,
“Sharise, I’m gonna come right out and say this… Why doesn’t your mind link work?”
Shit! I did not take that into account when I switched packs! Come on Sharise, think!
“I didn’t want to say anything but I guess I have no choice now”
I looked down and turned on the waterworks to make the sad girl act more believable,
“He ummm- he drugged me and apparently, the effects take up to 5 or 6 weeks to wear off”
“Fucking bastard! I’ll kill him!”
Sakari stood up angrily and Darius just placed a hand on her shoulder and seemed to be talking to her through the mind links and whatever he said seemed to have done the job because she calmed down immediately and sat back down in the chair,
“I’m sorry; he is just getShe ran her hands through her hair and I wiped away my tears and stood up from the chair,
“I think I should go now”
“Why? You seem to know a lot about war tactics, we need you”
“I’m just causing drama and lots of it, I think it’s best if I just go to my room and stay there until the party”
“You don’t have to do that Sharise; you are more than welcome to stay with us”
I shook my head,
“I’m sorry”
I started walking towards the doorway or should I say bookshelves but before I could walk out, Darius spoke up,
“I’ll take your suggestion into account Sharise, we’ll talk more about it later, be sure to keep this a secret”
I nodded and walked out and started walking towards my room and as soon I walked in, I locked the door and let out the widest smirk imaginable, fucking hook line and sinker!
‘Alpha Marcus, it’s done’
‘You got the plans?’
‘Better than that, I’m in on the whole thing and they are none the wiser’
‘Sharise Prescott, you never cease to amaze me’
I smiled,
‘Thank you alpha, I just need to be sure on the final plan’
‘When will that be done?’
‘Tonight, no later, I promise’
‘Do not make promises you don’t intend to keep Sharise because I am not a lenient guy’
‘I intend to keep this promise alpha, I can assure you, by the end of this week, you will get what you want and Darius will get what he deserves’
‘Okay, I trust you, end of tonight Sharise, no He cut off the link and I swear I couldn’t be more happier, the fact that everything is going according to the plan, faster than I first thought is just the best thing ever and I will be sure to celebrate it tonight at the party, nothing can bring the smile of my face, not with me knowing that my alpha is proud of my progress and I’ll be sure to make him even more proud with my ending.
