Chapter 257

Davyna's POV

(2 Days Later)

I sigh as a slip further down into the bathtub, soaking my aching muscles in the scalding hot water and the overwhelming amount of

bubbles. I need to take time to recover after being a vampire for an extended period of time. Since I've been training with Vincent everyday since I awakened, these baths have become a saving grace each night.

When I'm a vampire, I feel no pain at all, but when I switch back, it's like I got run over by a truck. Vincent says that it could be like this for a while, until my human body adjusts to the strain of the transformation and difference of the athleticism can't even imagine what it's going to feel like when I shift into my wolf for the first time.

I shudder at the thought, but it quickly dissipates as Vincent walks into the bathroom.

"You doing okay in here?" He asks me, coming to kneel by the side of the tub. I nod and smile at him.

"I'm okay, just sore as usual." He leans in a kisses my the top of my wet hair.

"Let me know when you're have a sunrise found downstairs" I raise my eyebrow in suspicion A surprise?" He nods.

"I'm not giving you any hints either, so done, I What could it possibly be?" I soak for another 20 minutes, getting myself clean and washing my hair.

Vincent and I were training hand-to-hand today and I did fall on my ass a few times, On the round. in the bushes. in the dirt, So needless to say l was filthy as well as being extremely sore.

I climb out, grab my to my towel and head into the bedroom. I dry myself off, brush my curls and leave them to air dry. I put on some comfy grey sweats and a black tank top, and head out of the bedroom towards the stairs. I glance down at the stairs and I can't help but smile widely. I see Vincent at the bottom, leaning against the end of the railing. His blond hair is tied back, and he is still wonderfully magnificent looking in his own pair of black sweats and a white t-shirt.

"Finally, let's go love" He holds his hand out and I quickly head down the stairs and grab his hand. He leads me out to the front of the house, my heart beating wildly in anticipation. Once we're out in the middle of the front parking area of the house, Vincent stands behind me.

"Close your eyes, open your senses." I go to turn to question, but he rights me back in place.

"Stay there, love." I sigh,

"Okay" I close my eyes, letting most of my thoughts drift away until my mind is blank, and my senses become more alert. I've been getting better at using my vampiric talents and skills without needing to fully go into my vampire form. A few moments pass and then I sense someone. It's a bold, but enigmatic presence and I can't pinpoint exactly what it is just yet. It continues to get closer as seconds pass, and my eyes snap open as I recognize the scent.

"Kaius!" I yell as the large wolf comes into view.

"Good job, love. You sensed him." I turn and look at Vincent, who is smiling at me lovingly.

"Go see him. I called Caleb and told him to come by" Don't have to ask me twice. I run towards my beautiful, large grey wolf. I wrap my arms around his neck and hug him tightly.

"I missed you!" He huffs at me and nuzzles into me and licks my face. He then sniffs me, and tilts his head to the side. I shrug as he then trots off to the side behind one of the stone pillars by the gate, and Vincent walks past me with some clothes over his arm.

Caleb then emerges, fully clothed from behind the pillar. I run towards him and leap into his arms and he squeezes me tightly. "Hi, baby." He says as he nuzzles into my neck just as Kaius had. He puts me down lightly, and I look up at him.

"Hi back" He leans in and kisses me gently.

"I missed you so much, Caleb." I say as he grabs my hand and we walk towards Vincent who has now made his way over to the front door

"Same here, Davyna.'

"Why did you call him, Vincent?" l ask as we all head inside.

"I figured it would be best to inform him of all that has transpired since you've been here. He's picking you up tomorrow anyways, so what is a day early?" I smile.

"l understand. Where did you want to go talk?"

"Let's head out back, more space for you to show him." I stop suddenly.

"You want me to.." Vincent nods.

"Yes. He needs to see it for himself." I shuffle my feet.

"Okay.' I walk behind Vincent and Caleb as we emerge out back. There's still some daylight left outside, and l can't help but admire how the setting sunlight makes the flowers in the garden look so much more majestic.

I stop as I see Vincent and Caleb turn around to face me, and we're standing roughly in the same places that Vincent and I have been these past few days while we have been training. I look at Vincent nervously.

"So..."

"Her vampire side awakened, Caleb." Caleb then looks at me, and the back at Vincent.

"That explains why she smells a little different, but how?" He asks, clearly confused since we had no idea how to a mere week "Let's head out back, more space for you to show him." I stop suddenly.

"You want me to." Vincent nods. "Yes. He needs to see it for himself." shuffle my feet.

"Okay" I walk behind Vincent and Caleb as we emerge out back. There's still some daylight left outside, and I can't help but admire how the setting sunlight makes the flowers in the garden look so much more majestic.

I stop as I'll see Vincent and Caleb turn around to face me, and we're standing roughly in the same places that Vincent and I have been these past few days while we have been training, Look at Vincent nervously.

So...

"Her vampire side awakened, Caleb." Caleb then looks at me, and then back at Vincent

"That explains why she smells a little different, but how?" He asks, clearly confused since we had no idea how to a mere week ago. I also get why Kaius sniffed me and seemed puzzled as well.

I pull my hair aside, revealing Vincent's mark.

"After he marked me." Caleb takes a few steps towards me, and runs his hand down my neck, and resting his fingers on Vincent's mark. I shudder, and inhale and exhale slowly, not knowing how Caleb's reaction will be to Vincent being the first.

"So after you mated and marked her, she awakened?"

"Only her vampiric side." Vincent states,

"l can show you, if you want to see Caleb." l ask quietly. He pulls my face up so our eyes meet.

"of course, I'd love to see it."

"You're not mad?" I ask. He shakes his head. "Never in a million years would I be mad, Davyna. Vincent and I talked and we decided he should be your fist for this. It's just easier" They talked? About this? I guess they would have had to, but I'll have to get more details at a later time.

"Okay, uhm just back up a few steps.. please." I say, and he nods and goes and stands beside Vincent again. I take a fevw calming breaths, and plant myself as I close my eyes. I'm getting faster at switching, but I still need to take a moment to focus.

"You'll sense her change, Caleb. Just be prepared." I hear Vincent warn Caleb. There's only been a few times where I've lost control. but better safe then sorry. I empty my mind like earlier, focusing on allowing my vampire state to take over. I feel my fangs elongate slightly, my eyes burn as I feel them change, and l hear my heartbeat slow. My senses intensify., and I feel the strength come into my body, my muscles, my mind as l fully transform.

I hear Caleb's own heart pick up in speed as he senses the change in me. My eyes snap open and Caleb is looking at me with complete surprise.

"My god.." He trails off as he takes my new form in. I tilt my head at him slightly as I approach. He reaches towards me, caressing my face.

"This is insane. You've completely changed. You even feel different, but you're still you."

Vincent cuts in.

"Just wait, Caleb. we've been training and honing her skills since she awakened." Just as he says that, he turns and leaps up onto the gazebo. "Come, love." He beckons me and I look up at him. I feel my muscles spring into action as I leap up beside him. before I get a chance to speak, Vincent starts striking at me, - red eyes blazing into mine - and I block every single hit and strike back. He increases in intensity and then goes to trip me but I backflip away from him, landing back on my feet silently beside Caleb back on the ground.

"'m beyond stunned. I never imagined this." Caleb says as he watches me intently, Vincent jumps down and walks up to Caleb and I.

"She's picked up everything I've taught her easily, actually way easier then any other turned vampire I've seen. But the kicker is, she's pureblooded.!"

"What? She's a pureblood!?" Caleb exclaims. Vincent nods, and his next statement takes me by sago. I also get why Kaius sniffed me and seemed puzzled as well. finish up. I'll meet you downstairs." I sigh.
