Chapter 173
Rakari's POV
"Darius, where's Sharise?"
"Other part of the pack house, why?"
"I wanna take her out today"
"Why only her?"
"I dunno, I feel like I connected with her somehow so I wanna take her out"
He smiled,
"Can I come with?"
"Don't you have pack duties to attend to?"
"Yeah but I can get Rhylie to sort it out and I would really love to spend some time with you"
I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck and he grabbed my waist,
"I'd love that"
He smiled and gave me a peck on the lips,
"Lets go and find Sharise then"
I nodded and unwrapped my arms from around his neck and took his hand instead so that we could walk through the pack house to find Sharise.
We walked into the second lounge and everyone turned their heads to face us,
"Hi Rakari, hi Darius"
"Hey guys, you okay?"
They nodded,
"Yeah but you never came back"
"Sorry about that, the alpha kept me longer than expected"
Darius chuckled and I smiled,
"Where's Sharise?"
"In the garden"
I nodded and dragged Darius towards the garden and when we got there we saw Sharise being held against the wall by her wr"Would you like to explain what you are doing?"

He bowed down and I walked up to him,
"Raise your head"
He lifted his head up and took a slight step back at my expression,

I turned around to face Sharise,
"It's fine, it was nothing"

"Its fine honestly"
I nodded and turned back around to face the boy,
"Name?"
"Tyler"
"Well Tyler, if I ever find you with you hands on Sharise again, there will be consequences, do you hear me?"
He nodded,
"I hear you"
"Good, go inside"
He nodded and practically ran back into the house and i turned back to face Sharise and Darius who was in the doorway,
"Are you sure you don't want to tell me what happened?"
She nodded,
"It was just a misunderstanding"
"As long as your sure but we actually came here to see if you wanted to go shopping today?"
"Are you serious?"
I nodded,
"Yep, unless you don't wanna go"
"Why do you want to take me? Why not Julianne?"
I smiled,
"I can't explain but there's something about you that connected with me"
She smiled,
"Darius, are you coming as well?"
I looked towards Darius and he smiled and nodded,
"If its okay with you"
"Yeah, of course, she is your girlfriend after all"
I stretched my hand out and he walked over and took it and Sharise smiled at us,
"You two are really cute"
"What you mean to say is that I'm cute, Rakari is okay"
She laughed and I hit his chest playfully,
"I'm joking baby, you're beautiful"
I smiled and gave him a peck on the lips,
"We should go then, what car do you wanna take Sharise?"
"Depends what I'm choosing from"
"Go to the front of the house and have a look, we'll be out in a minute"
She nodded and walked into the pack house and I turned to face Darius,
"I want someone to keep an eye on Tyler"
He nodded,
"I'll sort it"
I gently squeezed his hand and led him into the house so that we could walk to the front. We walked out of the house to see Sharise sitting in the Kia Sportage,
"She loves my car better!"
He chuckled,
"It's our car"
"Since when? You bought it for me remember?"
"Okay fair dos"
I stuck my tongue out at him and ran to the passenger side of the car while he got in the drivers side,
"I guess I'm paying for today's shopping trip?"
"Only if you love me"
"You cant use that card on me"
"You here that Shar, a man unwilling to pay for a woman's shopping trip"
She smirked,
"Tut tut tut Darius, rule number one, never say no to a woman when she smiled"
"And why is that?"
"Because it will turn out horrible for you"
I laughed and she winked at me and Darius just chuckled and shook his head while continuing to drive.
*3 hours later*
"Can we please go and get some food?"
I sighed and shook my head, "Men, always thinking about food"
Sharise giggled and Darius wrapped his arm around my waist with his free hand while he held the shopping bags in the other one,
"What do you wanna eat Shar?"
She shrugged,
"I'm not fussy"
"Well I know Rakari likes KFC"
"I love KFC!"
He chuckled,
"Well, KFC it is then"
I smiled and Sharise ran ahead to KFC like a kid to a toy store and we just walked behind her.
When we eventually got there, we took a seat at a free table,
"What should I order?"
"My usual, Sharise?"
"Surprisingly, now that I'm here, I'm not that hungry"
I laughed and shook my head, "Typical"
She smiled,
"But, I wouldn't want Darius' money to go to waste so I'll have a milkshake"
"You're learning so fast"
I wiped away a fake tear and Darius chuckled,
"As you wish my ladies"
We smiled and Darius walked off to order and i turned serious and looked at Sharise,
"So, now would you like to tell me what happened with you and Tyler?"
She sighed,
"It was nothing"
"You keep telling me that and the more you say it the more I'm believing its a lie"
"Okay fine, to put it bluntly, when I wouldn't kiss him he grabbed my wrists and tried to forcefully kiss me but that's when you came out"
My eyes flashed red,
"He forced himself on you?"
"He only tried to kiss me, nothing else"
When I pictured Tyler holding Sharise's wrists, the image of that guy in the toilets immediately popped into my head and I could feel the rage that wanted to come out,
"Rakari?"

Just when I thought I was about to run out of the centre completely and shift, I felt soft lips press against mine and all of the fire within me extinguished and I melted into the kiss.
I didn't take it too far though so I pulled away and Darius smiled and held up the KFC bag,
"I got your usual"
I smiled and sent an apologetic look towards Sharise to which she replied with a nod,
"Sorry"
"Its fine but why did you get so angry?"
"I don't like the thought of someone forcing you to do something you don't want to do"
"It was no big deal, honestly"
"Shar, I never actually asked, how old are you?"
"16"
"How old is Tyler?"
"17, turning 18 in summer"
"We're going home"
I stood up and walked out of KFC with Darius walking behind me when Sharise ran up to me and grabbed my wrist making me face her,
"Please don't do anything"
I sighed,
"Why?"
"Because I don't want to cause any trouble"
"You wont be Shar, I just don't want anything else like that to happen to you"
"Why do you care about me so much? No one else does"
"Let's walk and talk"
She nodded and I took Darius' hand in mine and we all walked in sync,
"So? Why do you care so much?"
"I may not know you that well but I feel that I need to protect you; you're like a sister to me even though we met a few days ago"
"Really?"
I nodded,
"I wanna ask you a question"
"Go on"
"I know this is a bit random but are you scared of Darius?"
I looked at Darius briefly to see him look at Sharise expectantly and Sharise wearily answered,
"He's a strict alpa"
"He's a softy on the inside though aren't you baby?"
He smiled and nodded,
"I'm only strict when I have to be"
"Ever since Lucie left, you've been stricter"
I could see him visibly tense at the mention of her name,
"Who is Lucie Darius?"
"Someone you don't need to know of"
"We'll talk about this later"
He sighed and nodded and I turned back to face Sharise,
"Okay well, we still have time to spare, anywhere you wanna go?"
"I can't really think of anything"
"That new film is out, you know the one with districts"
"Oh, the Hunger Games?"

"As long as you and Darius keep your hands off each other"
I laughed and Darius chuckled, "Just don't watch us"
She groaned,
"Darius! Don't put that image in my head!"
