SEEING THE JEWEL IN THE DIRT
The commander-general of the jihadists along with his general soon gathered enough of their die-hard followers and raised a larger army of faithful jihadists.
"Our mission is protecting the world against the aliens, and not against our fellow humans." The commander-general of the jihadist announced at his awaiting comrades.
"Insha Allah, the world will be saved and the aliens will be sent back to where they came from." One of the generals close to the commander-general let out.
"Are we joining the infidel to wage war against the aliens?" One among the newly recruited jihadist asked.
"Whoever is against the aliens is our brother and not an infidel. Our war is against the aliens and not our brother." The commander-general answered back.
"Are we fighting alone, or joining with another gang for this war?" Another jihadist asked.
"We will be joining with some gang that is on their way to save the world." The commander-general answered back, he looked at the eyes of the men in his front, and await more of their questions. When none was forthcoming, the commander-general glanced at his two generals beside him, back to his jihadists. "Since there is no more question, I suggest we resumed our journey."
" We shall conquer and save the world from this tribulation." The right-side general prayed.
"India Allah, we will triumph over all the enemies of mankind." The men cried back.
The commander-general turned his horse, and lead the way. And he was followed by thousands of his faithful followers, who are ready to die for what they believed in.
So they claimed!
"I called this meeting to discuss the issues on the ground." Brenda let out as the last of the guest walked into the choosing deserted church, close to where the rest of the column was relaxing.
Almost all the important personnel among her gang was invited by her, except the twins, of course.
"What is there to discuss?" Apollon777 asked.
"Horus has told me the truth, and he wants us to clone the scepter and give the fake one to him."
"So the problem is getting a lookalike of the scepter?" Maria asked.
"Yes," Brenda answered back.
"I can help out with that." A groggy voice announced among them.
All eyes immediately looked towards Augur, and the silent man looked back with somber eyes. "I was an artist and a woodcarver. It may not be exact, because of the short time."
"We just need something that will glitter in their eyes for a while," Bobby answered back.
"What will you be needing?" Brenda asked.
"Sharp knives, paint, gum, thread, beads, and some jewels. Augur answered back.
"We have all this in stock, you need a secluded place to escape the prying eyes of the twins and their legions of dooms." Maria let out, after thinking for a while.
"Yes, I will also need some guards to be stationed wherever I will be working."
"We can't trust anyone, except all of us here, and the other three generals that weren't invited," Apollon777 announced.
"Then let's divide ourselves into two, half will follow Augur to find a secluded location. While the rest will stay here with the rest of our members." Brenda said, she dipped her hand inside the bag in her back and brought out the scepter, then hand it over to Bobby. "You will be leading the team that will be protecting Augur. Please take care of this scepter."
"Aye! With my life. So who are those going with me?"
"Apollon777, Maria, Dija, and the grey hair general," Brenda answered back.
"Get all the materials needed, and let's move." Augur said.
After informing the grey hair generally, the man quickly wore his clothing and leaped outside.
The column embarked on its journey and was soon out of sight.
Brenda and Maria were seen as they walk into their various rooms to rest their bone.
"What are you telling the rest, of our delaying?" Maria asked.
"My head is heavy and I can't think anymore, tomorrow will tell!"
The selected humans and aliens soon sneaked out in search of a place to perform their tasks. After hours of walking in darken environment that was only lighted by the new moon, they saw a big and fenced building, hopped over it, and soon got lost among the maze of rooms in the tall and magnificent house that once served as a private hospital.
In sooner time, Augur was set to work, he hunched over a bench and scrape the log of wood in his hand.
And in sooner time, the shapeless log of wood starts having a new and meaningful shape.
In truth, beauty lies in everything, we just need a keen to see the jewel in the dirt.
Augur had worked as a burglar, fake jewelry, and artworks dealer for years, and he had his hand in every shady business around the globe. After long hazardous but profitability racketeering, his identity was finally leaked and he was declared a wanted man. And that was how he met the Mafia's group and seek for their protection.
After getting initiated and having the neck tattoo that served as his symbol of acceptance and belonging, Augur's last mission was to kill the opponent of one of their political client.
The mission was easy and ended as soon as it began, all the inhabitants of the house were killed, except a little scared girl with trembling lips who looked at them as if they were the real buggy man.
The leader of the assassin wanted to kill the innocent girl to silence her whimpering when her parents were murdered, but Augur begged on her behalf. Then cast a last look at her as they went out of the big and well-decorated parlor.
"Where are you, little girl?" Augur asked himself aloud.
It has been eighteen years since his first introduction to murder, and the lady will be in her late twenties if only she is still alive.
"Yes," Augur answered the unasked question that keeps screaming in his mind. "She will be Dija's mate or a little older than her."
Unknown to him, the lady Augur had been seeing murdering him in his dream was not Dija's mate.
But Dija herself!
