Immortal fish for immortal ritual
The scepters gang entered into Erinjinyan town by nightfall and they immediately sauntered towards the river in the middle of the town.
A few hours later, the whole column gathered around the river, marveling at the pureness and calmness of the river bodies.
Kira and Akira left the gang and they both marched close to the palm tree at the bank of the river in search of fish but found none.
"Where are all the immortal fishes?" Akira cried out.
"They ought to be here waiting for us," Kira added.
Both twins joined their hands together and cried out to summon the river goddess.
Their loud voices echoed in the silent night and the men with them paused and stared at the twins.
"We call the power that dwells in this river." The twins cried out.
"Heed to our voices like a mother to her wailing baby." Kira cried out.
And come to us in haste." Akira added with a louder cry.
Suddenly the peaceful water became troubled and a big boa emerged and raised its big head, while the remaining part of its body remained inside the river.
"Who summoned me?" The boa asked in a hissing voice.
"We are the one that summoned you, and we are happy you heed to our calling," Kira replied.
"We need one of your immortal fish for our immortal ritual," Akira added.
"All my children are preparing for our annual festival." The boa retorted.
"We beg you to spare us one among them." Kira implored.
"You can not shame us by rejecting our plead in front of all this mortal," Akira added.
The boa turned its big neck and fixed its unblinking eyes on the humans staring with opened jaws, then back at the twins in its front and said.
"You should have informed me of your august visit."
"We have been sending you messages through the wind since we embarked on our journey." Kira cried back.
"The wind is unpredictable and may have forgotten your messages out of delinquency." The boa replied.
"I will be giving you one of my children and I believe it's save with you." The boa added.
"Very save with us," Kira answered back.
"We will be returning it as soon as we are done with it," Akira added.
The boa immersed its head inside the river and disappeared.
Instantly, the troubled body of water became calmed and a lone fish swim toward and leaped out on the dry ground.
Akira motioned to a man carrying a glass jar of water to step forward.
She picked the fish from the ground and dropped it inside the jar and ordered the guard to protect it with his life.
Kira looked at the zombies standing at the rear end of the riverside and ordered. "All of you should put your eyes on the fish."
The zombies bobbed their heads together and uttered outrageous noises in response.
"We move back now," Kira ordered.
"We have a long way ahead" Akira ordered.
But the remaining of the scepter's gang refused to move an inch but begged to spend the night in the riverside to rest their weary bones.
"Weaklings," Akira shouted at Augur who came to deliver the men's pleading.
"We move without them," Kira added.
But Augur begged on behalf of the men until he was able to calm the twins and the whole column laid on the green grass beside the big river until the daybreak.
The war inside the Lumbar kingdom raged on until few men remained on both sides.
Zuma, Brenda, Bobby, and Apollon777 broke into the guarded gate of the beautiful palace and instantly kill the four guards on duty.
They scampered as a guard fired an arrow at them and the arrow stuck into Apollon777's chest.
Apollon groaned with pain and hurled his weapon at his attacker, the weapon plummeted forward, then landed on the man's forehead and impaled his skull and he fell dead instantly in his pool of blood.
With an arrow stuck in his chest, Apollon777 lead the way and they entered the door of the palace building.
Zuma's uncle is a man of advanced age but still agile.
He raced down the steps and jumped off the remaining part of the stairs then bounced in front of Zuma and struck at him with a dagger.
Zuma stepped back and jerked his right leg forward to front kick the man striking at him.
His trust landed on his uncle's forehead, and the man staggered and fell.
"Your game is up, murderer," Zuma shouted at the king who is still trying to stand on his feet.
Suddenly, the king hurled a dagger at Zuma, the blade plummeted forward and landed on his left eye and blood gushed out. He tried to pull it out and screamed out with pain and outrightly fainted out of shock.
The King stood up from his knell and laughter hysterically. "You will never ascend you're thrown in my lifetime."
"Then he will, after your demise." Brenda cried out and leaped at the back of the king to cut his head off.
She spat at the stationary head on the floor and rushed towards Zuma.
"Make way." Apollon777 cried at the human surrounding Zuma.
He punched the dying man on the chest and instantly removed the dagger from his eye socket.
The dagger fell out and was followed by Zuma's left eyeball.
Apollon777 dipped his hand inside his pouch and removed a bandage, then strapped it around Zuma's head.
"He will be okay soon, as the bandage I just gave to him is medicinal. "
Some of the senates that had been hidden inside the king's room soon emerged and joined the crowd in the palace.
"Our law forbids a disable man to sit on our throne." One of the senates with big belles gloated and gaze scornfully at Zuma.
"Seize them all." Atim cried out as he mingled with the crowd of faithful guards who fought along with him. "They are all treacherous and will be kept in the prison until our king is strong enough to decide their fate." He added.
"What about the taboo involved in putting a one-eyed man on the throne?" One of the guards in general uniform asked in fear.
"I don't want to hear of any custom, as your kingdom will be ruled by Zuma, even when blind," Brenda screamed at the murmuring guards, who out of panic seemed to be approaching the point of upheaval.
"Long live Zuma the one-eyed king." One among the guard cried out.
"Long live our royal king." Others quickly answered in a voice.
Several hours later, Zuma was seen lying on a king-size bed in a well-adorned room, and beside him was Maria on another bed.
Apollon777 trotted from one patient to another and his sweat soon soaked the human clothes on his body.
Shortly later, Brenda and Bobby walked inside and implored him of the progress.
"I have good news and bad news," Apollon replied.
"Bad news first," Brenda answered back.
Apollon cast his gaze on Maria that snored peacefully on the bed beside him. "She can never be the lady you are once known as she will be suffering from multiple personalities henceforth."
"That's awful," Bobby replied with a grim face.
"Sometimes she will be able to respond to you, while most time she will be trapped with the demon invoked in her," Apollon777 explained further.
"And the good news?" Brenda inquired from the alien that had suddenly turned into a surgeon, and for a while, she was glad he is here with them.
"We can alter the weapon in her to our advantage," Apollon replied.
"How?" Bobby asked.
Brenda looked confusingly at Apollon777 but said nothing, as Bobby had already spoken out her question.
"The Hoorays weaponized her to get the scepter for them, if I alter their program, we will be able to control her decision to our advantage."
"And when she has the scepter?" Bobby asked.
"Then she brings it to us." Apollon777
"No!" Brenda cried out at both Apollon777 and Bobby. "She will not be used as bait."
