Somnambulism

Durell raced through the night and decided to rest his tired bones when he heard the morning cocks crowing.
He saw a tree at the roadside and chose to sleep on its branch for some time to regain his strength.
He was about to fall asleep when he heard some footsteps walking towards him.
"Who could be walking in this ungodly hour? " Durell asked no one aloud.
A lady soon appeared and passed under the tree Durell was relaxing. "Stop there." He barked at her, but she ignored him and keep walking towards her destination.
Durell instantly dropped down from the tree and sprinted after her. "Are you deaf or what?" He screamed, held her hand, and yanked her closed to him.
But the lady pushed him off and resumed her journey.
"Can't you talk?" Durell asked, then run after her.
But the lady seemed not to be aware of anything, but keep walking.
She kicked her left leg on a big stone laid on the road, strumbled forward, and fell flat on the ground, only to stand up to continued her journey as if nothing happened.
Durell tried to stop her, but she kept walking, then he noticed her half-closed eyes and her unconscious state.
"Are you drunk or sleepwalking?" He yelled at her.
The lady keeps ignoring him but sauntered hastily towards her destinations.
"Damn you," Durell shouted in anger, heaved the lady off the ground, and carried her on his shoulder.
"I will be letting you go when you are sobered."
The lady did not shout nor struggle to free herself, but she keep moving her legs as if she was still on the ground marching.
Durell walked towards the opposite direction of Gujarat town with Maria on his shoulder.
Apollon777 saw some human clothing and quickly put it on the way he saw Bobby did.
He found it a bit difficult to sipped his trouser and struggle for a while only to give up after some trials.
A string found on the ground soon served as his belt, and he tied it around his waist to hold his trouser.
Apollon777 soon intermixed with the human villagers and commence searching for Brenda and her people.
Some men saw him from far, one of them cried out pointing at him.
"Another kind of alien." And they immediately raced after him
Apollon777 walked briskly and soon loosed those on his tail.
Far off, he saw two Hoorays fighting their way through some mobs in their way.
Going near those aliens will draw attention to him, so he turned left and soon disappeared among the buildings erected within the city.
Wherever Apollon wandered in search of Brenda, he was noticed and was chased by all humans, so he decided to find hidden places, until nightfall when he can be able to search for her unseen.
He shortly noticed a tunnel at the back of a building and he instantly opened the iron wedged as a door to guard the entrance and climbed down the steps.
Apollon777 walked into the semi-darken tunnel with a satisfied smile.
Killing two Hoorays in a day was a great feast that would have been accompanied by a celebration if he was still in his planet, but here with no one to celebrate with, Apollon777 decided to dance and wiggle with happiness.
Yet more are still to be done, more Hoorays to be killed, but first of all, he need to find Brenda.
The tunnel led him to another tunnel and then into another.
Far off, some humans gathered around what he believed to be a lonely and wounded Hooray.
"One more Hooray to kill," Apollon777 smirked, then sneaked towards the humans and Hooray.
Some crates of empty bottles stood a few miles at the right side of the tunnel alongside bags of grains.
He dived at the back of the grains and crawled towards the men and their victim, using the empty crates as his shield.
"What to do with this thing here?" One of the guards who had captured one of the Hooray asked his comrade, when the alien seemed to be waking up from his unconsciousness.
The fact that the alien had survived such tremendous crushed had left the humans speechless.
"We keep him here until Kira and Akira come. " Their leaders answered back.
"What if his comrades were looking for him?" The man asked back.
"We will kill them all." The leader replied, then jabbed his knee into the face of the awaken Hooray, sending him back into unconsciousness.
"We can't stay here with the alien as war is still going on outside." Another guard let out.
"Let's just kill him and go." The first speaker said.
"That's is the only solution we have." The second guard added.
"Two of you will be staying with him." The leader said, pointing at the two men beside him. "While you and I will return into the town." He added, pointing at the last guard.
"Impossible. " one of the guards assigned to watch over the aliens screamed back.
"Either we all stay here or we go out together." The other replied.
"We need him alive to study him to know how to tackle his clan." The guard's leader replied.
"So what to do?" The third guard asked.
The guard's leader thought for a while and decided to leave the Hooray tied inside the tunnel alone.
"We will all come back to check him when Kira and Akira returned." He concluded.
Pat his comrades on the back and they all sauntered out of the tunnel to join their people fighting against the invaders.
"Fools!" Apollon murmured as the four men wandered closed to him where he was hidden behind the crate.
"Zuri and his clan will be here as soon as this Hooray is awake to dial a distress call."
The men climbed the steps out of the tunnel and disappeared out of sight.
Apollon walked out of his hidden place closed to the tied Hooray.
He removed something like a golf ball from a bag hidden in his fur and placed it on the unconscious Hooray, then walked back a few steps and stand with an arm akimbo.
A minute passed in silence, then some smoked emerged from the ball and cover the alien on the floor.
When the smoke cleared, only ashes were seen where the aliens was once laid.
"No more trace of this beast," Apollon said with a smile, then continued his wandering.
Zuri and his Hoorays and Brenda and her gang stood inside the rock discussing how to get the scepter away from the serpent.
All their plan seemed abortive as nothing seemed to be working against the determined Enoch who is bent on withholding the instructions of his masters.
The Hooray's physician had tried unsuccessfully to heal his four patients bitten by Enoch, and the wounded aliens lay sprawling on the ground in an unconscious state.
Zuri stepped closed to Horus and whispered. " When will she be here?"
"Soon," Horus replied.
He looked at the gadget in his hand and cried out.
"She is now walking away from here!"
"What did you mean?" Zuri inquired.
"The last time I checked, she was walking towards us. Am surprised she just suddenly turned back." Horus answered back, and clean the sweats forming in his foreheads with his palm.
"Why is that happening?" Zuri asked.
"I think her lover is carrying her away from us" Horus replied after some minutes of thought.
"Gush," Zuri smirked.
His happiness at arriving inside Gujarat town had muddied his reasoning, and he had forgotten to order the death of the young man who brought them here. A mistake that is probably resulting in this delay. "What are we going to do?" He asked Horus with a sad face.
"I will go in search of her." Horus volunteered.
"Then go along with two Hoorays as your guards and bring her down here," Zuri mumbled, then added as Horus and two Hoorays walked out of the rock. "I will be here waiting for you."
Brenda saw Horus existing on the inner side of the rock to be followed by two more aliens.
She walked towards Zuri and asked. "Are you staying here until the twins were back from their mission?"
"Yes, Zuri replied. " Ain't leaving here without the scepter."
"Then we stay together." Brenda said.
