JOLLY ROBBERY
Brenda and her team soon reached their destination, an area covering over ten hectares of land that was protected by barb wires around the territory and cameras mounted on high poles at every strategic position. With the help of the cameras, few men were employed in protecting the vast landmass, but now that cameras no longer work, coupled with the high rate of urban to rural migration, the once heavily guarded place is now exposed to thieves and adventures seekers, making the few remaining men be working day and night to make the place less attractive for invaders.
"Shh," Agatha whispered. " Their station is closed by and they may hear your voices."
"Where is the iron cutter?" Brenda asked Zuma who carried the bag filled with weapons that may be needed for this operation.
"Here...here...Let me help." He replied. And started cutting the barbed wire with it, making a hole wide enough for men on horses.
"Brenda touched Agatha in her arm and said." Stay here, we will be picking you up on our way out."
The group immediately sneaked inside and crawl within the tall grasses, made it past the security outpost and they can hear the men inside singing and playing guitar. The group soon made it to the stable.
"This isn't horses but donkeys! " Brenda exclaimed.
"Any different?" Peter, Agatha's husband asked.
"Quite a lot," Zuma explained. "We can't just gallop away with donkeys without being caught."
"You are making noise." Brenda cautioned. "We can as well go to them and inform them of our plan for the donkeys, as am sure we will be caught." She whispered.
"We are taking the donkeys and are either going to sneak, talk or fight our way out." Bobby finalized.
"That's the spirit mate," Elenu said with a grin.
The group climbed the awaiting donkeys and guided them out of the stable. The donkeys walked sluggishly and bray louder, their noise immediately attract the attention of one of the guards who instantly shouted to notify his colleagues. " They are stealing our donkeys!"
"We are spotted," Elenu said.
"We keep going," Brenda replied and kicked the donkey in the stomach to walk faster, but the donkey only brays louder, wiggle its big ears, and resumed its catwalks. "Lazy beast," she cursed aloud.
"How come they were moving so fast," Sebastian observed.
"Because they were on horses," Elenu replied.
"Oh my God, we will be caught." Peter let out.
"Take it easy, we can still talk or fight our way out," Bobby said reassuring the man who now quivers on his donkey.
"Halt!" The leader of the guard, a bulky man with strong arms and a bald head shouted at them. "I said stay where you are."
"We are just borrowing and will be returning them to you soon," Brenda shouted back.
"Are you kidding?" Elenu asked with a whisper.
"Ahh," she replied, smiled, and winked at him.
"Get down off those donkeys and put your hands on the floor or you are dead meats." The man growled back.
"They can't shoot us with arrows with the fear of hitting their animals, my best bet is that they will come closer to arrest us," Brenda said.
Bobby nodded in understanding. " I will be ready." He said.
Thirteen men were galloping towards them, thirteen men against five. Yet the odds to Bobby are more than favorable. He along with Brenda had been in a deadlier situation and survived. Sometimes, quantity does not matter, only quality does.
"Get down those donkeys." The guard who was now very pissed yelled.
"Okay...okay...we are getting down." Bobby cried back. And instantly get off the donkey.
Others quickly dropped from the donkey and Brenda walked closer to the men who had already descended from their horses as well.
"On the floor, I said." The guard's leader with his spear poised at Brenda barked.
Brenda saw the man coming, his spear targeting his neck, she twist her body and bend a little to escape the deadly thrust aimed at her. Then the man outstretched his other hand, trying to jerk her off her feet. She widened her palm and used the middle of it to punch the man's outstretched arms, breaking the two middle fingers immediately. The man immediately cried out, dropped the spear in his right hand, and hold the damaged fingers. "My hand is broken!" He screamed.
Another guard whack a bat at Bobby but he moved an inch to escape the blow, turned and snatched the bat off his hand, then jabbed him in the throat to knock him off.
Elenu circled the guard on his pursuit. He quickly bend to escape a knife flung at him. He rolled under the donkeys, who by now are exited by the combat going on, and brayed louder as a form of encouragement. Another guard sprang at him but he shoved him off, punched another one, and sneered. "Get off the road."
The guard's leader now relived, removed two knives, and struck at Brenda. She front jabbed him on the knee, snatched the knife off his hand, and put it on his throat. "Stop or I slit his throat." She warned.
Other guards paused and looked at their leader who signal to them to drop their weapons.
Brenda and her people quickly tied them up and galloped away. It was a jolly robbery.
The twins mixed col glycol dimethyl terephthalate to produce a strong, light plastic. Then cut it with sharp knives and razors, making several wide layers of nylon cut in the shape of a diamond and sewn together. Then it was sewn around a solid but light rim, outlining the shape of a kite. They cut a bridle line from the length of spools of nylon fibers, then wrapped it around a big, light rod, shaped like a fishing reel.
"This is our plane," Akira announced amid jubilation arising in their camp.
Big Tiger's team had completed making the dynamite enough to destroy the big wall. He instantly notify Kira and Akira who had accomplished their task of producing ten kites, strong enough to carry five men at a time.
"Your people should climb the hill beside the gate of the town and will be blown inside the fence of the wall," Akira announced, looked towards the city, and resumed. "Your sudden appearance will distract the guards watching at the outpost while we will launch our dynamites at their wall.
" We are ready," Durell announced.
"Any questions?" Akira inquired.
"None." The men howled together.
"Put on this gadget to minimize the impact in case you fall on the hardened place." The king said, as his palace guard dropped some bags filled with helmets, elbow, and knee pads.
The men, now fully dressed heaved the kite to the peak of the hill as instructed, tied themselves with a rope made from car seat belts, and attached it to the kite.
With signals from Big Tiger, they all dived down the hill and were blown towards the city a few miles away.
"Some big kites are plummeting towards us." The guards on watch cried out.
He immediately run towards the horn placed at the different positions for such purposes and hit it vigorously. The deafening sound of the horn alerted other guards and they marched towards the unwelcome visitors.
As Big Tiger and his men landed inside the city, he instantly unclipped the rope tying him and shrieked. " Horray!"
He bend to evade an ax thrown at him, used his big to blocked some arrows fired at him. With his sword, he lunged at a guard and cut his head off. Another man with a dagger jabbed at him but he evade that as well and cut him in the stomach with his, the blade sank in, cutting flesh and intestines.
Durel and his team landed on the roof of one of the houses attached to the wall. The roof, unable to hold their weight quickly gave way and the whole team crashed into the room below, landing on wooden boxes filled with gun powder. Durrell during the fall had injured his right leg. Another man's skull was broken while one man's eyes were gouged out by the iron fixed on the roof.
Durell untied the rope binding him and removed himself from the shackles of the kite, closed his eyes, and grunted as he twist the leg back to his position, then cut a rope and bandaged it tightly. Using his spear as a walking stick and holding the sword in his left hand, he limped towards the main battleground.
Far off, some guards were running towards the gate side, when one of them looked back and cried out. "The invaders were in our back." Others earshot turned towards the approaching team.
Durell forgetting his injured leg at that moment of madness charged at the first man, cutting his outstretched right handoff completely.
The shocked man looked at his eerie dancing hand, then at Durell, his mouth curved to screamed that was muffled as his head was cut off.
Another guard throws his knife at Durell but he dodges It and thrusts his sword into his stomach, makes a cross sign on another fat man's chest then trot after another guard who had dropped his weapon and fled.
Unexpectedly, the ground seemed to tremble as a loud noise was heard. The dynamite exploded, bringing down lots of debris of rods, woods, blocks, and stone.
The awaiting fighters jubilated as they rushed into the city through the broken wall. What ensued was a big battle that lasted for several hours. In the end, five thousand men and women were massacred, only kids below the age of six and older men and women were spared. It was a bloody war, one the living inhabitants of the town will never forget in years to come.
"You have done well." Zuri complimented the Hoorays who fought bravery, killing seven humans and maiming the rest with his bare hand.
"My honor to be able to defend my clan." He said with a smile.
"The doctor will attend to you once we are home."
The aliens soon entered into Guara kingdom and were instantly welcomed by their mates who were eagerly waiting for the news of the exploit.
Zuri strolled into the main parlor of the palace and the et Horus who hunched over the screen and exploded when he see him.
"I have found them." He shouted happily.
"The best news I have heard so f, ar," Zuri said, patting him on the back as he looked into the screen but smirked as he was unable to figure anything out. "You have performed excellently"
