THE BLACK SHEEP
Brenda saw the five aliens as they stepped closer, stopped far off, and peered at her.
One among the aliens raised his human-like arms, point his weapon forward, and fixed his deadly gaze on her.
Having no choice, the dangling lady tried to curl up and remain invisible to the arrows that will soon ascend towards her.
The alien stopped, as his superior speak over the gadget in his palm, and he lowered his weapon when he was signaled to.
Brenda was only able to breathe when the terrifying-looking alien lowered his weapon. "Damn aliens, why did they stop?"
Having no one to answer her question, and waiting for no answer as well. Brenda quickly inserted three out of the scepter into the tiny holes on the huge body of rock, that only became visible when she swing close.
Shockingly, the holes instantly absorbed the broken scepter, and the presence of woods glued to the rock was the only thing that shows the difference.
With her hand projected, and ready to insert the last piece, even before the arrow leaves its bow. She sighed, and await the signal that will propel her to unleash the scepter.
Of course, except for the alien's fire at her before then.
If they do, only one thing is certain.
Death.
But it will serve a glorious purpose, and the world will remember the lady who died to save mankind.
"I have been ordered to withdraw my troops, and to forgive you all for your insubordination." Yaris let out, as soon as he was through with the calling from his gadget.
"Thank you," Horus muttered with a bow.
"Why thank me Horus? The decision was not mine to make, I only obey."
"Am thanking you for your obedience."
"I have no choice," Yaris answered back. "But the order to get you arrested is still valid."
"I resist arrest and demand my right to a ceremonial death. And I want you, as my opponent."Horus smirked back.
Yaris growled from the unexpected demand of Horus, gave a deadly smile, and answered back. "You are a convict Horus, you have no more right."
"Are you afraid that I will beat you in a one-on-one fight?" Horus teased back.
"Afraid of you?" Yaris mimicked back. "You are a dead alien, Horus. Why should I be afraid of the dead?"
"I'm not taking a step out of the rock, you can accept my challenge, or you can get your sorry arse out of my sight." Horus let out, and the aliens at his back giggled at his utterance.
Yaris took the bait, his pride won over. And that was the mistake that cost him his life.
Burning with incomparable anger from Horus's teasing, and the giggling aliens at his back. Yaris stepped in front of Horus and growled out. "Since you prefer to be killed by me, I will honor your demand, but we will be fighting a weaponless combat-" he paused his speech, peered closer at the smirking alien, and resumed. "I have sworn before all gods and goddesses to take you back, dead or alive."
Horus smiled, Yaris had not only taken the bait but had acted exactly as he predicted.
Of course, all Hoorays are predictable but filled with ego. And these are the two traits that Horus lacked, and the reason he will always remain the black sheep.
"Give me a while, and let me inform my friends and I will get back to you. In the meantime, get prepared for my duel."
Yaris laughed out, as his opponent stepped out of his presence. "You are either brave or stupid to have challenged me."
But the outgoing alien ignored him and hopped towards his human friends' section.
Yaris picked up his gadget, dial some numbers, and ordered a spaceship that will be conveying his warriors back to base.
"Except the team leader, and all named Hoorays, I want others to march down and await the spaceship that will take them back to base." Yaris barked at the warriors at his back.
Horus stepped into the human's section, then toward Bobby and the rest of the big shots among the gang.
"My clan has agreed to call off all the assault on humans, and we will be moving back, as soon as the negotiation to handover is concluded."
"Good news, we can see them marching towards the plain ground, far off," Bobby answered back, after peering at the retreating aliens.
"Call Brenda to climb up, or descended with the rope and climbed through the steps inside the rock."
"What if they changed their mind when they see we are no longer a threat." The commander-general of the jihadists asked.
"They can't, our words are always binding, and our warriors will revolt if Yaris dare act against the imperial decree."
"In that case, I will be calling Brenda now."
"What about you, won't you be in danger when you go back?" Dija asked with a concerned gaze, over the grimly-looking alien.
"I have no plan of returning with them, and I have manipulated Yaris into accepting a duel with me."
"That's dangerous, he is a strong and formidable alien." Bobby let out.
"I agree is a suicide mission, but I have no choice."
"Please be careful." Bobby let out, and walked off the meeting point, as soon as the call from the gadget in his hand was accepted at the other side of the line.
Horus stepped close to Dija, picked up something, and hide it inside the pouch attached to his body. He did this in a fraction of seconds, and none among the smiling humans was aware of his action.
"I want you all to be present during my ceremonial death," Horus announced, turned, and walked back to the middle of the rock to meet the awaiting half-breed.
Kira and Akira were seen as they whispered among themselves.
"The scepter will not be launched, we can now have what we seek." One among the whispering lady muttered out.
"Yes, the aliens have agreed to leave, let's asked for the scepter."
"They won't dare refused our demand, will they?" Akira's voice was heard as she raised her head, and peered at Bobby.
"He is not yet out of our reach, and we will be casting seduction spell on him, as soon as possible," Kira whispered to her sister, and both giggled and walked toward the rest of the column.
A few minutes later, Brenda emerged from the hole in the rock, and walked towards the awaiting members, then grinned as some among the jihadists raced towards her, jerked her up, and carried her on her shoulder around the rock.
After their short celebration, Brenda was dropped in front of Bobby, and both hold each other for a while.
"Congratulations, we won at last." Bobby let out, kissed his lover, and held tightly to her for a long moment.
"Where is Horus, he is the real hero here."
"He will be dueling with Yaris, and am afraid he has no chance against that angry son of a devil," Augur announced.
"Reagan is dead," Maria who just stepped into the midst of the coloum let out a sob. "Yaris killed him, oh my poor Reagan."
"Everything is okay, we will all start afresh and I assure you that your unborn baby will always be our responsibility." Brenda let out. Hold Maria tightly and both ladies wept for a while.
"Since the scepter will no longer be unleashed, can we now have it back?" Akira announced, as soon as the pairs stepped near.
